Diversion

YO! I was messing around with this one for a VEEEEEERY long time. The original idea was much more heavy, but the original guitar-like bass just wasn't working in the mix at all. Started to get interested in colour bass techinques and revisited this one, with a pretty big change to most of the sounds, things started to come together very nicely! I'm not sure i've heard any colour Drum and Bass, but this is my take on what that might sound like. I like the idea that the original was quite dark, but after some work, it found it's happy place :) Hope you enjoy it!

This one started out with the ambition of making a super dark garage-inspired tune. Neurofunk and Garage mixed, basically. It's loud, it's chunky, it's like your best mate Becky, a bit too much. But it's meant to be. Hope you like it! Hope it's exciting, something you've not really heard anywhere else. Enjoy!

I made this project just trying to prove to myself that I could make a tune similar to the type of sound Dimension might make. Ended up making it a bit of an evolving track, cause I get bored of hearing the same stuff a few different ways when i'm making music. Got some deadmau5y type vibes in the lead bass and I couldn't help slapping in a sub focus type synth or two.

In case you missed the other one, this is my VIP remix of the remix that I did for the SKIO remix contest. Didn't get to submit this one, but I was bloody close! I just wanted a darker edge to the first one I did. It was good, but it wasn't very different from the original, in term of musicality for my liking. Hope you Enjoy!

Yo! This was my entry into the remix competition on SKIO. Got a free trial, tried it out, seems like a cool site. I got the basic stems, cause i'm a cheap b"stard and just used the basic layout of the original for the arrangement. Vocals seemed pretty slow, so I thought a DnB remix was perfect for this track. I did slap it together, somewhat, but I wanted to wing an entry in before the comp closed! Worked on a VIP in the following weeks and I think that one is better. Definitely more "me", as it were. Yo! I've always been interested by Tearout, but have seriously NOT stood up to the standards I would expect to hear from one of those tunes. Managed to crank this badboy out after trying a LOT of different delay tricks in reason. Hope you enjoy and headbang your way through this one :)

Don't exactly know how, but this one seemed to come together very quickly! Was a lot of time spent on it still, but I don't often manage longer tracks, just cause it can be harder to keep the ideas fresh. Thought this one would be Dubstep at first, but it was house, then it had a dubstep B section, then the phase chords sounded like they were in major, when everything else was gone, so I did a little island garage thing... Was definitely a ride to make! Hope you like it :D

Ummm... Yeah! Made this one from messing around with Maelstrom in reason and putting a Noisia-esque bass into a house beat. Kinda just had a wonky vibe, so, I ran with it. Hope you enjoy, my pretties!

Been sat on this one for a while, wondering whether it was good enough yet, and i've come back and realised, there's not much else I can do to it! I could remix it, but the original wasn't even available. Been sat on some other stuff too, but they've been harder to finish! I always manage to include some sort of arps in my tracks... mainly cause I find it easier to write with them. Hope you enjoy it!

Hmm...Was just looking to make a super clean project, wanted it to be neat and tight. Ended up with this track, that has surprisingly few elements, but works. Somehow just all came together very quickly. I tend to struggle on projects at times, and others just come flying out of me. Definitely the most happy with this one musically, so far!

I know that i've uploaded this one a lot, so it's probably annoying that I'm uploading another version; but I like to see an artist's process, so I kind of wanted to do the same thing. I made a synth patch, which lead to a small demo, which lead to a half of a track...which might not get finished...but I really like what I have and I hope you do too!
