what it takes to build something from scratch (with Linh, In/Rotation Berlin)

Linh left her corporate design job, took a sabbatical, and started her secondhand store in berlin. now she runs three.Linh is the founder of In/Rotation, Berlin's only buy sell trade store. we talked about starting from scratch, moving locations way too many times, surviving berlin winters as a small business owner, and what it actually feels like to build something that's fully yours.turns out leaving corporate was the easy part.p.s: if you need a star piece for your wardrobe, you should definitely visit one of the locations of In/Rotation in berlin⭐️

not afraid to suck at things: how failing at things makes you better (with Dom, Iwi Studios Berlin)

most people avoid starting things because they're afraid to be bad at them. Dom didn't have that luxury.in this episode, i sit down with Dom, my hairdresser and the owner of Iwi Studios Berlin, for a conversation about what it actually takes to get good at something. he talks about his story on leaving school, finding hairdressing, moving to Berlin and landing his first job.we get into why failing is a skill, how necessity is the best teacher, and what changes in you when you stop being afraid to suck at things.if you've ever talked yourself out of starting something, this one's for you.🎙️ don't overthink it is a podcast about the thoughts we all have but rarely say out loud.Follow on Instagram & TikTok

i thought 30 would fix everything (with irmsko)

this is the first time i have a guest on the podcast 🥺my first guest is irmsko, a dear friend, turns out right now both of us are figuring out what turning 30 actually means, and we both wonder why it comes with this weird pressure to have your life together.we talk about the illusion of “one day,” and what happens when you realize… this is it. this is the life you were waiting for. the one day is today.somewhere in between, we end up talking about work, confidence, feeling like a fraud sometimes, needing space to hear your own thoughts again, and how easy it is to give your power away without even noticing.it’s a bit existential, but also soft.i don’t know if we figured anything out, but i liked this one a lot.

not everything is a turning point

we’re constantly told that rejection is redirection, that everything happens for a reason, and that our worst moments will become our greatest breakthroughs. but what if that’s not true? in this episode, i reflect on a year that didn’t turn into a story, getting fired, feeling stuck, and being tired of forcing meaning onto painful experiences. an objection to optimisation, and a reminder that sometimes things don’t lead anywhere and that’s okay.

  5. 22

architecture is not what you think (and it never was)

architecture looks glamorous from the outside… but anyone who studied or worked in it knows the truth: the all-nighters, the unpaid competitions, the heartbreak of caring too much. in this episode, i talk about why architecture is not what people think it is, and why so many of us resent it, leave it, miss it, and also love it.this isn’t a rant or a call to leave architecture. it’s an overthinking session on the culture of a profession that many people love. if you’ve ever studied architecture, worked in a studio, or loved someone who did, you’ll feel this one.

  6. 21

i want to be better than you

did i get your attention? good. competition is fun, until we are fighting the battles that don't matter. easier said than done, i know. in this episode, i dive into competition and comparison. from school systems that reward winning, to workplaces that turn everything into a race-if you’ve ever felt behind, secretly and not so secretly competitive, tired of performing, or convinced that everyone is doing better than you, this episode is for you. p.s: the research i'm talking in the episode is herefollow me on instagram and tiktok

  7. 20

on taste: playlists and being tacky

i won't share my spotify playlist anyone, would you? it would sting if someone did not like my music taste, or my taste in anything... maybe what we call "taste" is too close to home. in this episode i overthink on why our preferences feel so personal and why we fear being judged.

  8. 19

    why messy is still human

i love aesthetics, but real life is messy - and that’s still human.aesthetics are fun. i love a good outfit video, a perfectly lit coffee moment, the dreamy side of the internet. but real life isn’t always that polished. in this episode, i trace social media from tumblr to instagram to today’s algorithm-driven feeds, and i think out loud about what gets rewarded, what gets hidden, and why it feels harder to show the ordinary. i’m not against looking good online. i’m just reminding myself (and you) that the mundane and messy parts of life are just as real, and just as human.

  9. 18

forty hours and it’s still not enough

you finish work, maybe cook, maybe exercise, maybe fold some laundry and ta-daa, the whole day is gone. the 40-hour workweek has been around for a century, but does it still make sense? in this episode, i trace where it came from, why it doesn’t really fit office jobs (or even factories anymore), and why feeling exhausted after a “normal” day is not a personal failure. if you’ve ever felt too tired to do anything after a work day, this one’s for you.

  10. 17

    what we've learned (so far)

i just turned 30, and instead of doing a list of “things i’ve learned,” i did something different.i gave my friends pieces of paper. on one side: something they’ve learned. on the other: something they wish for. then i folded them all into a box and read them out loud, anonymously.in this episode, i share some of their lessons, reflect on my own, and spiral into what it means to grow up without needing to have it all figured out.because nobody has it all figured out.if you’re navigating milestones, reflecting on your 20s, or wondering what you’ve actually learned, this one’s for you.

  11. 16

everything is in my phone, but nothing is in my hands

my whole life probably lives in my phone now. music, books, tickets, photos, you name it, and maybe yours too. but what did we lose when we stopped carrying things?in this episode i overthink touching things, single-purpose objects, and why my silly, oversized keychain makes me feel more alive than my phone ever will.

  12. 15

what your clothes are saying (even when you're not)

our clothes quietly tell a story about who we are, how we feel, and maybe who want to be. from a Medusa necklace to multiple style crushes, in this episode i talk about the pieces we carry and why getting dressed might be the most honest thing we do all day.no fashion police here🚨 and no pressure to be stylish. just an invitation to notice. because even your hoodie is saying something.

  13. 14

what counts as a hobby, really?

you like something… but you’re not great at it. you don’t do it every week. you’re not obsessed.can we still call it a hobby?in this episode, i spiral from boxing classes to the existential pressure of having a thing. why do hobbies feel like identity tags? is there a pressure to be impressive with hobbies? is "trying out" a hobby really enough in our world?for the casual bakers, one-time doers, and quiet hobby-ditchers, this one’s for you.

  14. 13

    task complete, but am i?

why do I love watching someone deep-clean their carpet but can’t bring myself to unload the dishwasher? in this episode, i spiral through simulation games, to-do lists, fake productivity highs, and the quiet sadness of chores that never end.from the dopamine hit of crossing things off to the weird comfort of watching strangers organize their pantries — this is a ramble about control, loops, and why doing the thing is so much harder than watching it.

  15. 12

    very superstitious

i know it doesn't make sense, but i do it anyways.from touching wood to jingling nazar charms, this episode explores the weird little rituals we use to survive. superstition isn’t always about belief and reasoning, sometimes it's a way to keep the chaos away. salt throwing, butt scratching or holding onto a crystal... who cares what it is, if it helps? if you believe in the tiny magic of your own, this one is for you.

  16. 11

    let me want things

they say money won’t make you happy, fame isn’t the answer, and wanting things is shallow. i get it, but i still want ... stuff? why is it a taboo to want things? why is it cool to look like you don't want anything? is it okay to chase something even if you know it won’t save you? we all want different things, and in this episode we are unpacking what it means to desire.

  17. 10

    careers are dead

when i was growing up, i thought i’d be the adult in the movies. you know, power walking through the city, thriving at work and feeling... stable? reality is not giving that, at all.in this episode, i talk about how our generation inherited a broken promise. we are realising each day that the story we were sold doesn’t match the one we’re living. paths aren’t linear, and most of us are figuring things out as we go.this episode is about unlearning old expectations, and how we’re not lost—we’re just living a different narrative. if you’re floating through this mess too, i see you.

  18. 9

    creativity is so overrated

when you hear creativity, what comes to your mind? let me guess, arts, design or maybe a breakthrough moment? we talk like creativity is some rare gift only a few have but i think that is complete nonsense.in this episode, i talk about why creativity is overrated, what it means and why I believe everyone is creative-and yes, everyone.oh and p.s - i just got a new podcast mic, and I may have no idea how to use it yet. So, uh… enjoy the occasional unexpected volume spike.

  19. 8

    damn you imposter syndrome

when i hear a compliment, instead of saying "thanks" and moving on, my brain whispers "they have no idea that i am a fraud". yes, it's the infamous, yucky imposter syndrome. in this episode of don't overthink it, i talk about the feeling of incompetency, not knowing and what it means for us (spoiler alert: it is okay not to know things).

  20. 7

    what i've learned from dogs

my relationship with dogs has changed a lot over the years. recently i paused to reflect on what i've learned from them, specifically, four very special dogs. turns out, they've taught me more about life, boundaries and joy than i ever expected. in this episode of don't overthink it, i'll share some of them with you.

  21. 6

this will for sure make me feel good

you know that feeling when something just hits the spot? In this episode of don’t overthink it, i talk about those moments that bring us instant, undeniable joy. they say it’s all about the little things and they might be right. this episode is a lighthearted overthinking session about finding happiness in the everyday things and nothing else.curious? hit play and find out.

  22. 5

    vacation spiraling

vacations are great time for overthinking. i was on vacation, and had a great deal of time to think about how i moved to Germany five years ago. shortly after my moving, i started on a completely new career path. it’s been anything but easy—filled with instability, uncertainty, and tons of moments where i wasn’t sure i’d make it work. in this episode of don’t overthink it, i overthink on the chaos of building a new life and how confusing and anxiety infusing that is. this story is anything but inspirational, it's an honest look into a chapter that i'm hopefully closing to make space for the next one.

  23. 4

    mirror mirror fortune teller

should i believe in stories about my future told by strangers or should i just be rational? fortunetelling isn’t just a curiosity for me—it’s a slight obsession and a way to feel a little more in control of life’s shenanigans. in this episode of don’t overthink it, i share how my grandma introduced me to the world of fortunetelling, why it holds such a special place in my heart, and how it’s become my way of preparing for the unknown. whether you love tarot cards, tea leaves, or just the idea of peeking into the future, this episode dives into why i seek answers and comfort in the mystical.

  24. 3

    it's playtime

what does it mean to play—especially as an adult? in this episode of don’t overthink it, i do an overthinking on my relationship with play and why it feels so puzzling. growing up as an high achiever, i realised i never really learned how to play. now, as an adult, i’m asking: can play be rediscovered? what does it look like when life feels like a to-do list? if you’ve ever wondered how to reconnect with joy and let go of perfectionism, join me as i overthink the meaning of play.

  25. 2

    my name is

what's in a name? do our names have an impact on our life? does the meaning of what we choose to go by effect our life course? from the confusion of hearing my name mispronounced to the identity shift of introducing myself differently, i overthink on the deeper impact a name can have on our sense of self. if you’ve ever wondered how your name influences the way the world sees you—or the way you see yourself—this one’s for you.

  26. 1

    is life really linear?

is life a straight line—or something messier? from the pressure of hitting milestones on time to standalone happy or yucky moments, i share my own overthinking on whether life is really linear and how it can feel terrifying. if you've ever questioned whether you are 'on track', this one is for you.
