"I should have saved this hours ago" (Evolving Portals) 🌀🧎‍♂️This session started on 1-6-2019 during my 1st 10 hour live stream on twitch, where my chat provided the sample for me to flip. Probably one of my favorite beats of all time and I still haven't exported a final or normal version of it, because I made way too many change ups and have revisited and evolved/devolved the session countless times since then. (see album cover) The last saved version in ableton was 8.6.21 but this specific version was created at the end of January 2022 as I revisited the project file one last time and Evolved a new Portal in real time on i.g. live. This Challenge happened to occur at a time when my health was [it still is] extremely bad, was difficult to sit up, felt like every fiber of my organic body was attacking itself, zero moments of comfort which makes being able to focus or be productive extremely challenging. My physical body was nerfed but my brain/mind/imagination were working over time... I remember being so stressed out not understanding what was happening to me and losing my mind over the fact I not only had stacked deadlines, but so much creative ambition but my body couldn't execute simple tasks no matter how much my spirit and mind wanted it... I was humbled to learn "mind over body" is just a wishful catch phrase. While laying sideways on a yoga mat with Ableton Live open to tackle this Abjo Challenge, I kept visualizing in vivid detail thousands of nanobots traveling through my bloodstream attacking everything that was causing harm to my physical vessel. I blacked out, got distracted and ended up only using the sample as referencing and just composing and playing various virtual instruments creating the soundtrack to what my imagination was wishing would take place. No headphones or studio monitors were used, just my laptop speakers... This doesn't exist in the arrangement view as everything was sequenced, layered and arranged in real time via resample in real time.... Unfortunately, being on laptop speakers I couldn't tell I accidently turned off the Side Chain to the Bass, so the raw real time bounce is all that will ever exist. I ended up creating a visual / video to better help convey the meaning behind the song. My health has been bad for long time and as time passes it keeps getting worse, there are days where it's so unbearable I don't think I can push through it, but how many times can you publicly signal you aren't well and don't think you have the strength to push through before you're just constantly ruining others day with a situation they can't control or help. So these days it's really bad..... I just post "Please Send Nanobots" so at least there are breadcrumbs left behind. A Digital footprint marking all the days I didn't want to endure pushing through, but kept going and kept spreading love and being as productive and consistent as possible. and thus, Please Send Nanobots was born. OCTOBER 2022..... STILL NO HEAL. PLEASE SEND NANO-BOTS

“Trend To Zero” Track 11 from the unreleased “Music Nerd” (Evolving Portals) - created 4-25-23 Backstory: The evolution of the evolution 11x over of me taking flipping one of CXY’s favorite songs in real time, way way way to far. I know this type of long form super unconventional music is impossible to market, but it’s my happy place getting lost riding the waves of the great unknown in real time. After I recorded all these sessions (tracks 1-10) I wanted to quickly release them in real time. Then the reality of how Spotify would punish this type of music took over my emotions & I jumped back into ableton one more time to express how not music nerd coded these stupid streaming platforms are. The voice in my head as I was falling through this portal was, Spotify was beginning of the end. TREND TO ZERO.

Backstory: thxk_u originally came over on 4/19/24 to participate with me in person for the first FABC (Flip A Beat Club) Phoenix Challenge. Due to my physical health, me being able to participate in person at the venue isn't possible so thxnk_u being the kind and thoughtful soul he is, reached out the Nydia who is the captain the FABC Phoenix Chapter and arranged to get the Sample Crate sent to us, so we could participate remotely. The FABC event happened to fall on the same day as the Dibia$e sample challenge playback livestream on you tube. #dibiflipsession01 (Dutchyyy Submission) [playback livestream video] https://zora.co/collect/zora:0x4cc5fbe2ea14d8fb62af7bdcff1ac0f8211daab4/23 So thxk_u came earlier in the day to watch the playback stream with me, while we waited to hear back from Nydia to get the FABC sample crate link (which didn't happen until it was too late) Hours and Hours passed as Dibia$e played back over 200 submissions and we still couldn't reach Nydia so thxk_u asked if I would mind pivoting to showing him more of my workflow and sample chop process in Ableton live since the first previous time he was over trying to learn, he had leave early before being able to try to the process himself. He did a quick practice take of chops using my method and asked if I wanted to add to it. So I had him export the session and email it to me, so I would work on my desktop instead of his laptop. Loaded up the session, while fighting back as hard as possible from being distracted by the tumor on my spine swelling up (I named it Quad, +1 if you get the reference) and in typical Dutch fashion, I kinda took over without even realizing it. I shifted some drums around, removing some hi-hats, then I changed up the chops he just laid in the beginning of the beat and extended them a few bars before shifting gears quickly and creating the change up chops.... This whole process after the long resample prep-work part, i.e. creating the actual beat.... Drums, Chops, Sequence all happened in the course of like 20 minutes....A true microwave beat haha. Unfortunately, I pushed my body well beyond its limits that day and the night before so I literally could no longer sit up at my desk and asked thxk_u if he minded if we called it a night. After a 12hr battle with the mold... I lost... It struck back swiftly with a vengeance. I wanted to end it all, instead I opened up ableton live and expressed my s.o.s. a few days later I lost it all. a few weeks later i'm lost at sea. sometimes it's not all good.

Created at the tail end of my chapter in Cali when I lost my girl, job & apartment, (2013) Shout to everyone who let me couch surf, Matt E J, Tre Jinkin's, Sunjet, sleepyeyes, Prajnuh, etc.. I Flew back home to Tampa after being in Los Angles for 5 years only to be met by jealousy from people that stood still in life, My man Sam Sleezy invited me to visit in NY, he spent months trying to motivate me to record new raps, but all i wanna to do was make beats hahah, I recorded a few tracks that Apathy gave me (still unreleased) as well as my track for the SleezbagMekalekTape, meanwhile hiding outside alone in his hidden forest backyard I was making beats, then my pops (who i had not spoken with in over a decade) invited to me visit him for the weekend in upstate NY, so i accepted, When I arrived I was suprised to find out my pops was the caretaker of one of the illest nature preserves in upstate NY on the top of the swawungunk ridge moutains,, My back and front yard, had ice caves, waterfalls, forests and scenery that looked like it came from tombraider meets lord of the rings, ontop of that, my pops knoweldge and collection of music is next level, so I spent a year alone, building with him, inspired by this sacred mountain, creating music all day and night long, in the attic, in the basement, near the waterfall, everywhere I occupied. During this time, I rejected and pulled myself out of any beat collective and just wanted to focus on art without any politics period, I rejected what society had programmed into me, and became one with what exists on the plane that hasn't been touched or influenced by man made hands. I released Chill Gawd, Chill (120minute cassette) that was best seller on bandcamp both times it was released. I also gave birth to my improv jazz alias @son-of-ziggy on that mountain, And I also began Traversal on that mountain.... TheUpRoot was supposed drop after Chill Gawd, Chill and Before Traversal, and I actually ended up pulling songs from The Uproot to put on Chill, Gawd and Traversal because it was too long,. Then my computer crashed, and i lost all the original sessions for this unfinished album, so i was stuck with demo tracks i bounced out. so i sat, and i sat, and i've been sitting on this piece of my history because well.... AnalysisParalysis hahah. knowing what you know, Please let me know what you think. I will post a link to the TRAVERSAL (cassette version) for anyone that wants to hear both albums together as they were meant to be....
