Paypal stock is down -11% post earnings, despite beating on revenue and EPS... Why? 🚀 Want to see what stocks I'm buying and why? Q1 EPS also increased by 61% to $1.17, which was above the estimated $1.10. The company's revenue of $7.04 billion was also higher than the estimated $6.98 billion. However, the number of accounts only increased by 1%, but total volume and account activity are up, which indicates more quality users than quantity. Additionally, Paypal has announced a 5% buyback in 2023, which is worth $4 billion. However, cash flow has remained flat-to-down at 4.1% 12m trailing FCF yield post SBC (stock-based compensation). While the company has raised its guidance for full-year revenue and EPS growth to 20%, it trimmed its adjusted operating margin outlook for the fiscal year, disappointing investors. The market is nervous that Paypal's business is being disrupted at its core by Apple, CashApp, and nimble payments competitors such as Stripe and Adyen. Furthermore, the CEO succession plan is not clear. However, let's look at the bigger picture. Forward P/E is at a decade low while revenue, EPS, and FCF are projected to grow. We can look forward to tailwinds coming from Venmo, Braintree, PCPP, the MSFT deal, and possible multiple expansions. The stock might stay range-bound for a while longer, but at this point, we're in deep value. PYPL is trading at less than 14x NTM FCF and has $4.5B net cash. So, what's the bottom line? While the market is currently nervous about Paypal, a long-term investment mindset can bring great benefits. THE AVERAGES MUST DISCOUNT EVERYTHING Stock prices reflect both current + future expectations of general economic activity.  Buying and selling will affect the averages.  Even natural disasters, which obviously cannot be anticipated, are very quickly discounted into the averages.   THE MARKET HAS THREE TRENDS Dow defined an uptrend = series of rising peaks and troughs Downtrend = series of successively lower peaks and troughs. He considers each trend to be made up of 3 parts:  PRIMARY, SECONDARY and MINOR.  Primary trend (tides) : longest of the trends = the overall, broad, long-term movement of security prices.  Can last a long time, sometimes even years.   Is called a BULL MARKET or a BEAR MARKET.  Secondary (waves) : intermediate trend = CORRECTIVE REACTIONS to the primary trend. Down in a bull market vs Up in a bear market. They usually last 3 weeks to 3 months. Combats excessive speculation.  Minor trend (ripples) : Short term (usually less than 4 weeks)   → Can be misleading = ‘NOISE’ to the larger trend…    In a BULL MARKET:   ACCUMULATION PHASE:  starts at the end of the last stage of the bear market.  Here prices are depressed and economic news is negative. Farsighted and informed investors start picking up stock at cheap prices in anticipation of rosier times.  (Contrarian buying) 2nd stage : improving economic conditions + improving corporate earnings. The media catches on + the public begins to buy 3rd stage : positive economic conditions + bullish stories and newscasts + a buying frenzy. Investors believe that the market is unstoppable, and bid up prices to high levels. Farsighted investors (so-called SMART MONEY) should start selling.   In a BEAR MARKET: DISTRIBUTION PHASE:  began at the end of the last stage of the bull market. SMART MONEY investors start selling. The 2nd stage : strong selling due to negative economic activity and deteriorating earnings.  Volumes start to pick up as does the rate of selling.  3rd stage of bear market : negative news stories as fed on by the media.  It is characterized by capitulation selling. This is where the farsighted investors see opportunity to buy cheap stock and late in the stage begin buying again, taking us out of the bear market and starting the process all over again.  THE  AVERAGES MUST CONFIRM EACH OTHER Confirmation = things moving together = Dow industrial goes higher leads dow transportation to go higher  If the DOW industrial goes up, the DOW transportation should go up within 1-2months before the first average reverses its initial trend... Cuz economy follows  DOW THEORY can only be confirmed if BOTH averages, the DJIA and the DJTA reach new highs or new lows.  They do not have to do so simultaneously, but one signal should soon follow the other.  In order for the INDUSTRIALS to be profitable, they need to get their products to market, i.e. they have to be shipped or transported to their respective destinations.  To Dow, a bull market in industrials could not occur unless the railway average rallied as well.    Only once this is done, is a healthy economy truly confirmed.   VOLUME CONFIRMS THE TREND If stock goes up, then volume should go up (confirms the trend). Volume expands in the direction of the prevailing trend. Volume is like a participation rate/voting contest… the “true market view”.   A trend in motion remains in motion until it gives signals of a reversal.

Today we analyze Tattooed Chef's risk of bankruptcy leading into this inflation led recession. We also go over TTCF's earnings, balance sheet, cash flow, their SKU expansion pipeline, their recent acquisitions and odds of reaching profitability before having to dilute shareholders. 🔥   TTCF is a leading plant-based food company in the United States with an estimated 11.4% market share. Their business model is based on pre-prepared frozen meals. Their products include, among others,  ready-to-cook bowls, zucchini, riced cauliflower, and smoothie bowls. At the moment, Tattooed Chef is mostly present in Costcos, Walmarts, and Targets across the United States. TTCF recently close the acquisitions of two companies in the next few weeks. The transaction will make TTCF the owner of Karsten Tortilla Factory and Mexico Food Distributors, also referred as Foods of New Mexico. Founded in 1987, Foods of New Mexico is a food company that produces ready-to-eat Mexican food items for both retail and food service. The facility in Albuquerque currently produces Mexican foods including quesadillas, and burritos. The second facility in Karsten is a brand new facility that will enable TTCF to have extensive tortilla manufacturing capabilities. This acquisition allowed the company to diversify their product lines and significantly increase their manufacturing capabilities. At full capacity, TTCF believes Foods of New Mexico can contribute up to $200 million annually in revenue in the next two to three years and create significant value for their stakeholders.

This money could be life changing, especially for someone my age.   This challenge will be extremely risky and, to say the truth, it's nerve racking. It might completely flop. There will be some red days, that's to be expected. Maybe my $2,000 will turn to zero. But all things considered, that's a risk I'm willing to take. I will take you on this journey no matter what, through the good and the bad. I'm hella nervous for what is to come, but I'm also excited.

This is no bueno. Should we sell our stocks in anticipation for a stock market crash, or double down? How am I reacting to this?    🚀 Join the VIP Membership Group (Discord) today! ► elblancofinance.com   People are freaking out because of the potential for more contractionary monetary policy than expected. The market is in panic mode. Since the 1950's, there have been 39 official corrections in the S&P. Only SEVEN have lasted more than one year. The ongoing correction in the S&P 500 is at (give or take) 105 calendar days. And for small caps, we've been in a correction for over 15 months. Take a second to think about what that means...  I'm just as frustrated with this market as you are but here's a quick reminder that today's feelings don't matter. Because today's feelings are of short term nature. So let's try to get out of our heads and consider what the big picture really holds for us. We happen to be in a disgusting market right now but that doesn't mean it'll last forever.    Let’s think about this rationally. Right now, I think the market is completely ignoring fundamentals. I'm keeping a cool head. I'm looking at the data. And I'm seeing is that the market is overreacting. I also believe that the North American economy is robust. I think that supply chain shortages will subside throughout 2022, which will bring deflationary pressures on goods.   Do not give up. Especially not now with the end of the bear market so near. By summertime, we could be up +50% for all I know. So if there's anything, try holding onto that thought. That the future will be brighter. Hope. And further than that, try embracing this mentality, because these opportunities don't come very often. One day you’ll look back and wish that you had bought more.    By many accounts it seems to me that inflation is on its way to calming down, which will remove the need to raise rates aggressively. Once that becomes clear, risk on capital will likely flow back into the growth sector. Unless we see mega caps sell off another 50%, the quickest stocks in the market to rebound will be the small caps.    One thing is for certain, I will paying VERY close attention to the markets in the upcoming days and weeks. Huge discounts might be on the way, and I want to be ready to jump on those opportunities when they happen. When numbers don't matter anymore, that's when you know that you are in an irrational market.    I'm not going to let short term noise like this shake me out of my positions. For me, buying these discounted stocks FOR THE LONG-TERM is a no brainer. Focus on high conviction stocks
