Emerging Enterprise: Closing the food loop by building a zero-waste food system
Did you know that households waste over 1 billion meals worth of edible food every day, the equivalent of 1.3 meals every day for everyone in the world affected by hunger. In fact, according to the UN, about 13.2 percent of food produced is lost between harvest and retail. In line with Singapore’s 30 by 30 food sustainability goal, one startup in Singapore is giving food waste a second lease of life.
