Finding the Joy in Christmas?
Welcome to 'Empower Her - The Help We Need Podcast,' where we explore topics that empower women and support their well-being. Joy at Christmas is mainly synonymous with the Christian celebrations of the birth of Jesus Christ. However, the real question is whether we are truly experiencing Joy at Christmas. Key questions cut at the heart for the reason for this Christmas season, and such questions border on: 1-Why do we feel societal pressures because of the need to fulfill certain obligations? 2-Why are we feeling overwhelmed because the things we desire or the people we thought would be there for us are no longer around at the year's end? 3-So is Christmas an invitation to all, and is the Joyfulness of Christmas only for December? 4-Why are we celebrating Christmas anyway, and how can we surmount our challenges and find hope for ourselves in this season? Join me on this podcast as we answer some of these questions in a round-table discussion with women like you and me, who happen to be Christians but are also living the realities of life. The goal is to help us as women understand why we celebrate Christmas and what is in it for us.
