I thought my emotions were a problem. Now they help run the business.
Most of us were taught that emotions and business don't mix. This episode makes the case that that's exactly backwards.I get pretty personal in this one. Starting with the messaging I got growing up as "the emotional one" in the family, moving through the panic attacks and therapy sessions that came before the agency ever existed, and landing on what I’m still learning after 7 years of building this and 30-something years of existing with this emotional brain of mine. This isn't about being more emotional in your business. It's about being more honest with yourself about what's already happening underneath every decision you make, every client you take on, and every pivot you've delayed because something felt off but you couldn't justify it on a spreadsheet. And if you've ever been told that what you feel is too much, this episode might reframe everything. In This Episode, You'll Hear:Why I was told her emotions would be her downfall and how she carried that straight into her businessWhat suppressing emotions actually looks like in practice, and what it cost me before she even opened the agencyFour ways your emotions are already running your business whether you acknowledge them or notWhy the most connected, magnetic people in business aren't the most polished onesWhat it looks like to actually work with your emotions instead of against themThe real, unsexy, sometimes uncomfortable practices Katie uses to regulate and reconnectWhy this applies to everyone, not just the people who already consider themselves emotionally awareWho This Episode Is For:Business owners who were taught early that feelings have no place in professional lifeFounders who are technically successful but running on empty and can't quite figure out whyPeople who pride themselves on being logical and data driven but have a gut they keep ignoringAnyone who has ever taken on a client, made a hire, or stayed in a situation longer than they should have because they talked themselves out of what they were already feelingLeaders who want to build deeper trust with their clients and community but aren't sure what's missingMen and women who were handed different versions of the same story: that showing what you feel puts something at riskConnect with KatieWebsiteInstagramTikTokLinkedInIf this resonated... Follow the show and leave a 5-star review so more business owners thinking seriously about AI can find it. And if you want to explore what a smarter AI layer could look like in your business specifically, reach out. That's exactly what Katie's team does.

Your website is dead weight. Here’s how to fix it.
Sure, your website exists. It just isn't working for you.And the frustrating part is that it probably looks fine. Maybe even great. But if you've ever sent someone your link and immediately followed up with "it's a little outdated" or "I'm actually redoing it soon," you already know something is off.The problem almost never lives where people think it does. It's not the font. It's not the color palette. It's not even the photos. Most sites fail because design led and strategy didn't. And until you flip that order, you'll keep showing up on every sales call doing work your website should have already done for you.In this episode, Katie breaks down exactly what a converting website is actually built on, what's quietly costing you every month you leave it as-is, and why the fix is almost always simpler and faster than you'd expect. In This Episode, You'll Hear:Why most websites look good but don't convert and the one thing that changes thatWhat your buyer is actually looking for in the first .05 seconds on your siteThe difference between a website built on vibes versus one built on sales strategyHow SEO and GEO factor into whether the right people ever find you in the first placeWhy your current site might be losing you clients you never even knew were interestedWhat Katie's approach to building websites actually looks like and why it works differentlyWho This Episode Is For:Service providers who:Have been apologizing for their website for longer than they'd like to admitFeel like their site exists but isn't actually doing anything for the businessAre converting people on calls who already know them, but losing everyone elseSuspect the fix is a full redesign when it might actually just be strategy and copyWant a website that pre-sells, builds trust, and makes the next step obvious before a prospect ever gets on a callConnect with KatieWebsiteInstagramTikTokLinkedInIf this resonated... If your site is more liability than asset right now, follow the show and leave a 5-star review so more business owners navigating the same thing can find it. The 7 shifts I've learned over the last 7 years
Seven years is a long time to run a business. It's also a long time to carry certain stories without realizing how heavy they've gotten. This episode isn't a highlight reel. It's an honest conversation about what actually happens when you've been building long enough to start questioning not just what you're doing, but why you're doing it and whether the version of success you've been chasing is even the one you want. This is the kind of conversation most business owners are having privately but rarely hear out loud.If you've ever felt like you're succeeding by the metrics but still searching for something that feels more like yours, this one was made for you.Let's connect!WebsiteInstagramTikTokLinkedInIf this resonated... If this felt like a conversation you needed to hear, follow the show and leave a 5-star review. And if you want to go deeper on any of this, whether it's the business side or just thinking through where you are, Katie's DMs are open.

The moment most podcasts quit (and how to keep going)
Entrepreneurship asks a lot of who you want to become. And then it expects you to move that way…even when it’s uncomfortable. At a moment in most podcasts’ journeys where there’s an unintentional stopping, Katie too fell into the “what am I talking about?” “Does it matter?” “Does anyone care?” “Should I take a moment.” And rather than waiting for the polished, ‘here’s how I got through this,’ you get a front-row seat to the inner workings of how she navigated those doubts and questions, why she chose to keep making messy steps, and what that could look like in your business. In This Episode, You'll Hear:Why Katie almost skipped this episode and what made her record it anywayThe industry statistic that snapped everything into perspectiveHow she thinks through the difference between taking a break and giving upWhat it actually looks like to sit with doubt and move through itWhy the inner work of entrepreneurship never really stops, no matter how far you've comeWho This Episode Is For:Business owners who are in a weird, unclear season and can't quite name whyPeople who know they should keep going but keep second-guessing themselvesFounders who are tired of seeing everyone else's highlight reel and want someone to just be honestAnyone who has ever asked themselves "does any of this even matter?" and needed someone to say yes, keep goingConnect with KatieWebsiteInstagramTikTokLinkedInIf this resonated, follow the show and leave a review. You don’t have to have fully figured it out yet…you just have to keep going
This episode is different. There are no steps, no takeaways packaged into a tidy list. What there is: Katie sitting down with the mic, in the middle of a real season of transition, and just... talking. You’ll hear the tension between being the "authority" vs. showing up as a human being who doesn't have it all figured out. And she talks about what that has to do with your business, your marketing, and the cultural shift playing out right now in how people connect, consume, and trust. If you've been craving rawness over polish, you're in good company. Turns out a lot of us are.In This Episode, You'll Hear:Why even the strategist sometimes doesn't know what to do nextThe internal conflict between data-driven decisions and human instinctWhat a film photography conversation revealed about where marketing is headingWhy everyone, at every level, seems to be navigating a weird, uncertain season right nowThe permission slip to take messy, imperfect steps anywayWho This Episode Is For:Business owners who are technically successful but quietly exhaustedPeople who feel like something is shifting and can't quite name it yetFounders craving more authenticity in how they show up, in business and in lifeAnyone who needs to hear that they're not the only one in the middle of itConnect with KatieWebsiteInstagramTikTokLinkedInIf this resonated, follow the show and leave a review. Everyone's using AI to do more. And that’s what’s keeping you generic.
If you've been using AI and something about the output keeps feeling flat, this is the episode you've been waiting for.Not because you're doing it wrong. But because nobody told you what to build before you started. In this episode, Katie breaks down why optimizing AI for more and faster is the exact thing keeping heart-led business owners stuck with generic content — and what to shift to instead so AI finally sounds unmistakably like you.In This Episode, You'll Hear:Why "do more with AI" is the wrong goal — and what to optimize for insteadThe three ways most business owners are using AI right now and why all three fall flatWhat a brand voice foundation actually is and why it's the missing pieceHow to get AI content that sounds like you made every word yourselfWho This Episode Is For: Service business owners who care about voice, connection, and client relationships; and who want AI to amplify that instead of watering it down.Mentioned In This Episode: AI Voice Amplifier Workbook. Does Your Marketing Suck or Is It Just Your Scapegoat?
If your marketing suddenly feels like it stopped working, it’s tempting to blame the content, the emails, the visuals, or the platform. But more often than not, the real issue isn’t your marketing at all — it’s what happens behind it.In this episode, Katie breaks down why so many businesses fall into “tinkering mode” when results dip, constantly rewriting copy, redesigning their site, or shifting offers, when the real opportunity lies in stepping back and looking at the system guiding people through their experience.Through real client examples, she shares why authentic positioning, intentional customer journeys, and cohesive touchpoints matter more than any single tactic — and how simplifying your marketing ecosystem can often unlock growth faster than adding more to your plate. In this episode, we explore:Why marketing often becomes a scapegoat when growth slowsThe trap of endless tweaking and why it rarely fixes the root problemHow disjointed systems create friction for both you and your clientsThe role authenticity and clarity play in attracting the right audienceWhy intentional customer experience matters more than “perfect” contentHow simplifying your marketing ecosystem can create sustainable momentumWho This Episode Is ForBusiness owners who and marketing leads who: Feel like they’re doing a lot of marketing, but not seeing proportional resultsKeep tweaking messaging, visuals, or offers without real tractionSuspect something deeper is off, but can’t quite name itWant their marketing to feel more cohesive, intentional, and effectiveConnect with KatieWebsite: https://digitallyenhanced.co/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/digitally.enhanced.marketing/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@digitally.enhanced.mktgLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/katie-gootenberg/
