In the Far East, opium, silk, and spices helped western countries establish trade with China. In our hemisphere sugar, slaves and rum, obscured the words of the May Flower Compact and put the freedoms won by the Cross on hold for millions of African Christians. Like a family going into debt with easy credit, tyranny can race across with amazing ease, leaving only Amazing Grace as our only hope.
