God loves the greatest sinners, so he gives the greatest gift to accomplish the greatest salvation.

In this passage Jesus tells Nicodemus that he and the Jews must be born again. This new birth is a work of God wrought by the Spirit through the proclamation of Christ, who was lifted up on the cross, raised up in his resurrection, and exalted at the right hand of God.

In Jesus' zeal for the pure worship of the Father, he cleanses the temple. And in his zeal he offered his body, the true temple which would be destroyed and raised, to cleanse us from idolatry and impure worship and bring us to God.

Jesus manifests his glory by turning water into wine, turning the bridegroom's shame into joy.

John's testimony is not about himself, but about Jesus, the Messiah, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

John writes his Gospel so that we might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing we might have life in his name. But who is this Jesus in whom we must believe? And why did he come?

God's warning to Pharaoh and to all those whose hearts are hardened towards him: I will win!

God is not hindered by human limitations and independent from our obedience. He is independent.

Persevering through trials comes only when we revisit and rest in the promises of God.

How does the good news of Jesus change our hearts?

Our salvation, our obedience, our worship... it's all for the glory of God.

The holy God speaks to Moses out of the burning bush.

God uses ordinary people, even failures, to work his sovereign plan.

Even on the darkest days, God is in control working for his glory and for the good of his people.
