Let’s Meet Horror Author Brent McGregor
Brent McGregor is the author of BLOOD TIDE, and STRANGE MURMURINGS, and winner of the 2024 Asylumfest Mayday Hills Ghost Story Competition. His short fiction has appeared in Midnight Echo, the publication of the Australasian Horror Writers Association. He hails from Sydney, where he lives with his wife, daughter, and dogs. He grew up on Sydney’s North Shore, on the edge of the Ku-ring-Gai National Park—a creative kid, with a vivid imagination, a penchant for comics, and playing Robin Hood among the eucalypts. He used to work as a climb leader on the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Now, he enjoys spinning tales of terror and make-believe. His short stories involve the supernatural, cursed garden gnomes, midnight hauntings, and cryptids, among other things. He is a self-proclaimed book nerd, and when he’s not working, or playing Dad, he can be found tapping away at a haunted typewriter and talking to imaginary people, while laughing maniacally.
