Determined Dawgs is a programs that helps people who may not have all the proper documents become fulltime students. Lastly, David Scott is a Marketing Librarian who focuses on creating an inviting and helpful space within the library. Providing several services such as Academic Literacies Center, Office of Multicultural Student Services, and Office of Research and Sponsored Projects.

    On this episode of Making the Grade, host and Big Rapids public school superintendent, Tim Haist is joined by three guests from the middle school. The middle school band director, Albie Todd talks about the upcoming band festival on March 3rd in Shelby. There are 150 students in the middle school band that are getting ready for this festival. Tod mentions how the festival works and what the students will have to prepare for.  Amy Schroeder is the choir director as well as the middle school theater director. The choir just had their festival with some fantastic scores coming out of it. Five choirs performed and all but one got the highest schools they could get. Amy talks about the upcoming theater performance of The Lion King.  Mason Scheer is an 8th grader that plays the alto sax in band, is in football, and plays the role of Simba in The Lion King. Tim Haist mentions how Mason has great time managing skills to be able to juggle it all.

Students Paul and Bella mention the challenges of first adjusting to college life, and the positive things that have occurred along the way. Megan Horn then mentions the differences between service animals and emotional support animals.Then, Megan discusses the legal protections of emotional support animals and service animals, as well as the proper procedures for students registering service animals and emotional support animals. Next, Host Nick Campau and Bella Brazeau go into a deep dive on everything Ready for Life. Bella discusses how she first heard of the program and how she got involved with it.
