Episode 240: The Kids Are Alright. A Conversation with Maggie Heikes & Ashlee Donley.

As a follow up to our episode on ‘Book Bans Arrive In Flyover Country’ we thought it would be great to get some perspective on the issue from those who would be most affected. We were not wrong. Ashlee & Maggie are both high school seniors at our local district and not only were they willing to sit down with us, but they were part of a number of students who stood up to speak out at a recent school board meeting in response to calls to object/ban a whole list of books from the school library. We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did. And despite all the challenges today's youth face, if Ashlee & Maggie are any representation, the future is in good hands. And as you will hear, they are not waiting to get started, the future is now. The kids are alright.
