Franchise Deep Dive

In episode 56 we bring on our buddy Cade from Cinemadopes to talk about the culmination of phase 1, The Avengers from 2012. After 5 solo movies of building up the team, finally they must come together to defend earth from an extraterrestrial threat.

In this episode we nearly wrap up phase 1 with the final film before The Avengers, we head all the way back to World War II where we meet Steve Rodgers. A plucky, scrawny kid from Brooklyn who just wants to fight for his country. Little does he know he'll become the greatest soldier of all time.

In episode 54 we finally start exploring the cosmos as we head to Asgard, home of Norse gods like Odin, Loki, and yes the blonde haired, dyed eyebrows having Thor. In episode 53 we check out the sequel to iron man released in 2010. New villains threaten Iron Man's life, some with ties to his past. Meanwhile his own mortality becomes more evident by the day. In episode 33 we move on from Raimi's trilogy and shift our focus to the 2013 evil dead remake from director Fede Alvarez. To close out the Friday the 13th series we head on up to space for Jason X where we meet a cyborg and Uber Jason, and also revisit the 2009 remake where the take a grittier approach to our favorite bald boy. In episode 23 we close out the Jaws franchise with Jaws 3-D and Jaws The Revenge. Both canonically the third Jaws movie... so that's fun.
