Berlin based Darkjazz band Dictaphone have been making sublime music for a decade now. Over the years this band has achieved cult status with such luminary fans as Nils Frahm who recently included the song peaks from their Nacht Ep in his late night tales compilation. Using deep cuts from their vinyl collection they have put together a journey of 80’s experimental ambient and electronics from their original home of Brussels. This year saw their entire back catalogue (long out of print) re-issued by Denovali and this month will see a momentous ‘10 years of Dictaphone’ showcase performance at the legendary Saal 1 in the Funkhouse, Berlin. Liquido hails from Copenhagen, Denmark where he presides over the upstart Nordic underground label Pattern Abuse. His musical influences are a hodge-podge of everything under the cold sun and that's reflected both in his personal output and the leanings of his label. Liquido came to fame in the early 2000s by throwing a range of illegal parties called "Other People's Property" which ended up earning him acclaim at the Danish DJ awards and broader scene. Guy Andrews is a fascinating London-based producer and DJ with a surprisingly wide range of sonic textures and vibes. He mostly releases ambient, post rock mood heavy pieces which are as brooding as they are thoughtful.
