Shallotpeat Project
ShallotPeat blends a 70s–80s classic hard rock–inspired guitar riff with an 80s Minneapolis Sound–style rhythm section, driven by tight funk grooves and punchy drum programming. Layered on top are chiptune-style synth textures, adding a retro-digital edge that bridges analog rock energy and early computer-era sounds. A track built on groove, attitude, and nostalgia—reimagined for the present.

Kanpeki_15/8
Always been into odd meters—after 18 years, I’m dropping a 15/8 track. I’ve experimented with polyrhythms and inserted even bars before, but this is my first full odd-time release. This niche groove is truly my musical identity.

Lead Bass & DTM My fav instrument is UVI Falcon... This is a pop electronic track I created with it. The instrumental "Taberu Kusa" means edible grass.

Jam Boy
I created a 70 BPM sequence on Elektron's Digitakt Ⅱ. This was to load a Jupiter-X JX-8P-type pad sound. Later, I got a 25-year-old Fender bass guitar. He had a PJ-type passive bass with the most conventional wiring, and I had wired it up, but I was shocked by the stale, Motown-like sound it produced. It's no wonder so many players crave a dry, crisp vintage bass! It sounds amazing!I remember when I bought it 25 years ago for 58,000 yen. It had a wet, young basswood smell that was different from what I hear now. It had a slimy, unremarkable sound without any real appeal. I hadn't used it in a while, so I gave it some maintenance for the first time in a while and played it...! Am I really allowed to have such a wonderful passive bass in my hands?

It's no exaggeration to say that this is the culmination of my musical perspective. Neosoul, funk, electro... Where the silence blooms Falling deeper, into you Underwater love I can feel it coming through Low my love, low my love, low my love to you

Sound Meme
An alchemy of ambient, noise, electronic, and funk— a single plate overflowing with sounds that refuse to be separated. Through the Elektron Digitakt II, fragments collide and dissolve, revealing textures that are at once delicate and unhinged. A work teetering on the edge of control, and perhaps… gloriously crazy.

Healthy Liver
Here it is—thanks for waiting! Seems like the ultimate funk-pop instrumental was destined for me. Precision grooves built on the Elektron Digitakt 2, a tightly slapped bass, a Strat straight into a tube amp, a booming Wurlitzer, and a lead synth that’s both upper and mellow… Layered with exquisite voicings and lush chord work weaving into complex harmonies. All wrapped up in a mix that’s been studied to perfection. Looks like my signature dish is finally served.

BettaFish...!
Aim for that water with graceful leaps and thrusts like a betta fish...! Sometimes I wonder how much of an explanation I should include. Even though the sound people hear is everything, if I don't say anything, they won't even be interested. So, if I were to describe the characteristics of this track to some extent, I would say that the performance was designed with this unique rhythm ensemble. Drum machines, electric bass, rhythm guitar, funk keys, vocoder, and top tunes, plus fuzzed lead guitar -- these are, of course, elements favored by the great pioneers of black music, and are nothing less than a timeless, authentic tribute to modern R&B. On the other hand, of course, it's a big experiment: where to place the kick, how to rock the hi-hat, how to set the guitar amp, how to crush the bass slap, how rhythmic the keys are, or the voicing of them, how to open up pockets between parts and how to connect them. For example, bass slap is not a phrase that is easy to imitate. I think this is interesting, so please try copying it, if you are a bassist. Storytelling and singing are important for lead guitar, so when it's an instrumental piece it can easily become annoying or take too long to talk about, so this time I took inspiration from a few singers. I have a secret recipe for the overall arrangement of the song and the particular mix, so I make sure to do this kind of packaging work without fail. The sound of splashing water and the smooth flowing water, with the betta fish swimming coolly among the aquatic plants, I have a secret recipe for the overall arrangement of the song and the particular mix, so I make sure to do this kind of packaging work without fail. loftsession#04_funksession_20250530
A spontaneous one-take funk jam, full of freedom and groove-driven vibes. Just hit record and let the session flow. Don’t need anything complicated. Can you feel the sound that’s just there? It’s up to you. This is an experiment called funk— Only one chord. Yeah, I’m a bassist. If you’re into it, it’ll hit. If not, that’s fine too. That’s all there is. I made it so that it could be recorded in what you might call a "rustic" atmosphere. I could write about it at length, but I'd be very happy if you could just listen to it and get a feel for the atmosphere of "recording" that kind of "session."

This track features a Fender Stratocaster driven to full throttle through a tube amp. Enjoy the contrast between the right channel, which showcases the direct sound from the amp, and the left channel, where I've incorporated a custom-built fuzz pedal. Enjoy this laid-back, nostalgic, and organic session take.

loftsession#02_RedOrangeJuiceFromSicily!"_20250429
In this new track, I’ve put the spotlight on a release-cut piano sound reminiscent of the Yamaha Electric Grand CP-70 and CP-80—characterized by an ADSR-style response that gives it a distinct bite and decay. The result is a crisp, bright tone—like a splash of Sicilian blood orange juice: vibrant, tangy, and refreshingly sharp. Sonically, the track draws inspiration from retro pop, French pop, and synth pop. I reimagined the aesthetic of capsule’s 2012 album STEREO WORXXX and MEG’s 2008 album BEAM, which was produced under the direction of Yasutaka Nakata. For the rhythm track, I used Elektron’s Digitakt II to craft a sampling-based sequence, blending elements of ‘80s and ‘90s video game music (chiptune, 8-bit textures) with environmental sounds—captured from official expansion packs featuring recordings of schools, nature, and public spaces. Honestly, the drum track alone could stand as its own piece! As a final touch, the kicks, claps, and hi-hats were directly sampled from the Roland Jupiter-X, giving you the authentic sound of a real TR-808.

Just got my hands on a new machine. My friend—I’ve been looking for you. A sea of samples, an endless sequencer, a swarm of inspiring effects, and uncompromising hardware. Its synergy with the computer is surprisingly seamless. It breathes. I finally have an instrument. A real one. Here’s my very first live performance with it. Let’s step into a new realm of sonic curiosity. You ready?

Funk and rock instrumental! Like howling, like shaking It's wobbling! The dolls in the photo are called "TAISHO'' and "May dolls,'' which are traditional Japanese dolls that are displayed in every household to wish for the healthy growth of boys, and are now rare even in Japan! "TAISHO" means general. This is how each feudal lord during the Sengoku period was called. In other words, we aimed for such wild and robust music!

Utsukushi ”Wo”
Styled in a pop and kitsch style. I want you to leave it to me to pull the bottom all the way. Japanese hiragana has "O" and "Wo", the former is used for "Ohayo (good morning)" and the latter is used for "Anata wo Aishiteiru (I love you)". The Japanese culture of "Wo" has a very unique beauty, and it is an important word that gives an impression of the "wabi-sabi" that the Japanese language has. And I named this song "Utsukushi Wo" (Beautiful Wo).
