A caller thinks it was John MacArthur who said in a sermon that grace and law do not mix...can Pastor Broggi explain this?  Can grace and law mix? Please explain Rev. 3:14-16.  What is being cautioned here and specifically what is meant when He says "I will spew thee out of my mouth"?  What actually happened with Jephthah's vow. in the book of Judges? Did he really sacrifice his daughter? Vince - I have a question for you regarding marijuana. I do not smoke it, I don't drink alcohol or do drugs. God has blessed me with not needing to do any of that. I have tried pot a few times, never felt anything, which is good. I do not see anything wrong with pot. To me, it is a natural substance, not synthesized. Some people say it is the "Gateway" drug but I do not think that. I think that alcohol is. I know that you are against it, biblically, could you please explain why? Does it have to do with the bible verses that say do not drink strong drink? Exodus 23:20...is this a type of Christ? Our next caller says that he has become disabled and obviously his income is less than it was.  He is wondering if he should tithe on his disability check. Shirley - Why do you think Benny Hinn is a false prophet? Jean - I was raised (but not fanatically so) Catholic. Question...having been kept at a distance from God's Word (the Bible) and separated by "leagues" of bureaucrats (bishops, cardinals, Vatican leaders, and finally the Pope) from having a real/personal relationship with God, will Catholics who do get to heaven be also "present with the Lord" , BUT in a distant and bureaucratic arrangement or location? I ask because many Catholics are good-hearted people (they just didn't, don't know 'better').... and they believe in this bureaucratic God.... will they still enter heaven when they pass from this world?  I don't know.....(your last two messages have provoked this question)...Thank you for shepherding us, with peace and light.

Charles, St Helena Island, SC - After listening to your message on tithing I have a question. I now have a better understanding of tithing and it's importance. Also, I know how the borrower is a slave to the lender... with that being said I am trying to pay down some debts. I am currently giving an offering every month but I am unable to give my full tithe. Would God want me to give my full tithe and pay the debts with what is left over or concentrate on paying the debts off so I would have the money for the full tithe? Thanks so much for your guidance! Adriana A, Naples, FL - First let me say thank you so much for what you do, my husband and I have grown so much through your ministry. My question is on the passage in Genesis I have been re-reading on Lot’s salvation. Was Lot saved? When I read this passage I get a little confused, I know that salvation is not lost, but I wonder was Lot really saved due to his lifestyle & how he responds to even the angels when they go to his family. He was clearly a lukewarm Christian if so, but someone told me that Lot was saved due to Abraham’s intercession on his behalf. What is the biblical perspective on this? Was Lot saved because of Abraham? Or was it because he was truly saved? I know no one can save you but Christ alone. Hope that made sense! Thank you! Rick C., Lancaster, PA - Will you please explain Sabbath- keeping for Christians today. There seem to be different views today. Some use Colossians 2:16-17 and Romans 14:5 where Sabbath-keeping is a matter of spiritual freedom, not a command from God. They also state that in the early chapters of Acts, the early Christians were Jews, and when the Gentiles began to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, the Jewish Christians weren't sure which traditions of the Mosaic Law they (the Gentile Christians) should obey (Acts 15: 19-20). In these verses, the Sabbath day was not mentioned for the Gentile converts. The Sabbath Day was set aside as a day of rest, and Christians used that day to come together and worship. I have always felt that this is still applicable for today, but others point to some of the above verses and say this 4th commandment is not applicable for us today. Could you clear this up for me? A lot of preachers say that one can lose their salvation and they quote the book of Revelation 3:5 that "he who comes in a garment of white, I will not remove his name from the book of life." Please explain. A listener's uncle is a devout Catholic. He believes that there is only one church...and he wonders how God allows all these different denominations?

Kimberly - I have a question about First Fruit Giving that is practice in my church at the beginning of the New Year.  Members give their best financial gift and the Pastor waves the offering. This will bless our life financially for that New Year. I have read Proverbs 8:9-10 & Leviticus 23:10-14. These scriptures talk about first fruit giving. I interpret these scriptures to be about farming and harvesting of grain. I would like to know more, please.    Leslie - Hi Pastor Broggi I traveled to Israel with you and the church last May. The trip made me want to be a better scholar of the history of Israel and the Old Testament. What resources would you recommend that might help? (I have been a Bible student for many years, so advanced materials would be ok for me). Also, thank you so much for the occasional bible tips you give. Although I have been a Bible student for many years, no one has ever really taught me tips on how to find books in the Bible. I really should be better at that at this stage and the tips you give on Sunday really help. Jeremy, Charlotte, North Carolina - If the Jews are in unbelief because they did not accept Christ, if they hear the gospel but do not accept Jesus and are left behind after the Rapture will they also remain in strong disillusion when the Antichrist commits the abomination of desolation or will they a second opportunity to believe in Christ? Recently some people in Congress, other politicians, and some preachers have made anti-semitic comments.  These comments are influencing some against the Jews and this caller would like to know how this fits in with our study in Revelation. A caller would like Pastor Broggi's opinion of Andrew Farley and his view of hyper-grace, confession, and the old and new covenants. Richard, Hilton Head, SC - Is there a reference in the Old Testament about Judas' betrayal? Chris, Hiram, GA - My wife and I are about 16 messages into your Revelation study and were wondering: Since babies and children who are unable to make a profession of faith go to heaven, we would also assume they would be raptured. Particularly, this adds to the unmeasurable chaos as one thinks about unbelieving parents when their children disappear and unbelieving pregnant mothers when their children disappear from the womb. What are your thoughts on this?

Anthony, Mt. Vernon, Maine -This is a follow-up to a question that I had submitted previously. In response to my prior question, it was suggested that I listen to the sermon presented on January 13, 2019, which I did. However, the most difficult part of my question remains: Regarding whether women may be pastors, there seems to be a conflict between the prohibition in I Tim. 2:12 and I Cor. 14:34-35 (not allowing women to teach or speak in the church) and allowance to teach and prophesy in Titus 2:3-4, Acts 2:17-18 and I Cor. 11:5. I need help with this question because our church is currently searching for a pastor and, as a leader in the church, I want to help the church make the right decision. Thank you. Jamie, Cleveland, Ohio -  I am attending a church where the married Pastor and wife are called pastors. I learned that a woman has a different role in the church and she can’t be a pastor. They seem to be ok with everything else but this bothers me...Is this a reason to leave a church? Another concern: Pastor mentioned Andy Stanley and TD Jakes in a positive light. Should I talk to him? Jessica, Beaufort, SC - In the African American community many members are saying there is racism in the Bible...that it is a "white man's bible.' How should one respond to this? What does pastor Broggi think about people that say, anybody, as an example, strippers, and drug dealers, can be children of God? A caller from Texas would like to know what is the difference between head knowledge and heart knowledge? Paul, Savannah, GA - I have been happily married for over 20 years and I have two sons, a Freshman, and Senior in high school. There is no question that my entire family has been saved by the grace of God and our belief in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We regularly attend a bible believing church but I have not found a pastor that preaches thru the Bible as you do and with the clarity and detail that you provide. I would really like to start taking at least one night per week for my family to listen/watch STS for all of us to deepen our knowledge of the Bible. I'm writing to find out what series or book you would suggest that I start with in this regard. Should I start with Genesis or is there another series of lessons that you would recommend. Thank you very much for your advice. I can tell that the Lord is using you to bless many with your teaching.

Did Jesus carry a weapon?   In Exodus 4:23-26 where it says "The Lord met him and purposed to put him to death." Who is it talking about?   Henry, Beaufort - Regarding Mark 6:11, In KJV it says it should be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment; the NASB doesn't have that text. Why is that? Are Roman Catholics really Christian? Do they believe in the five tenets of Protestantism? And what about their Bible? Regarding John 10:34 and Ps. 82:6, what does it mean "you are gods?" Also, what is the difference between head knowledge and heart knowledge? A caller would like to know what scripture says about pastors evaluating other pastor's messages.  For example, when Pastor Broggi goes on vacation or is out of town and hears another pastor give a message, is Pastor Broggi (who may be better versed in scripture) called to correct him if something is scripturally incorrect?  In a way, are pastors called to "evaluate" each other? A caller from Massachusetts would like to know what are some of Pastor Broggi's favorite books to read?

Kelly - I have some questions in regards to why we as believers do not obey the commandments that state that we are to follow the feasts in the Old Testament. Jesus did, his disciples did, but we do not.   Is it possible that there is life on another planet?  In Genesis 1:1 it says "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth..."   Is it possible there is life on a different planet which would be included in the heavens? Anthony, Mt. Vernon, ME - Our church is currently searching for a pastor. A question has arisen as to whether women pastors are acceptable according to the Scriptures. There seems to be a conflict between the prohibition in I Tim. 2:12 and I Cor. 14:34-35 and the allowance in Titus 2:3-4 to teach women and to prophesy in Acts 2:17 and I Cor. 11:5. As a leader in our local church, I want to know what the will of God is. Thank you for your help to understand this matter. A church in Savannah preaches against the rapture, using as an example the great flood and people wanting to be found 'in the ark' referring to a passage in Matthew 24. What does Pastor Broggi think? Katie, Hilton Head Island, SC - How do we balance the understanding that believer's sins are forgiven with the fact that we will have to give an account to God for our lives? What happens if we end up with a poor account to give? (2 Cor. 5:10, Romans 14:12) Chris, Decorah, IA - I was reading 1 John 5 and came across verse 17 which says “All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death.” I thought all sin leads to death or maybe I overlooked something but can you please clear this up? Thank you so much!
