Title X changes and how they will affect access to birth control for millions of Americans
Title X is a federal grant program signed into law by President Nixon in 1970 that was created to make comprehensive family planning and preventive health services more widelyavailable, particularly for those who could not otherwise afford it. These services include counseling on contraceptive methods, breast and cervical cancer screenings, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and pregnancy testing and counseling. Changes to Title X guidelines are coming, and they threaten access to safe and effective methods of birth control. The new guidelines state that contraceptives are overprescribed and have negative side effects. The new guidelines instead emphasize fertility awareness methods which place a significant burden on individuals using these methods and are much less effective in preventing pregnancy. Millions of people will be affected by these changes and possibly be at risk of having an unintended pregnancy. This would certainly increase the US fertility and birth rate...but at what cost?Tune in and take a listen as Dr. H. discusses these changes in more detail and talks about the possible implications of these changes. Please share with your friends and families too!

Are childhood vaccinations related to autism?
The claim that childhood vaccines are related to autism first surfaced several decades ago. Recently, this claim has been in the news even more with Secretary Kennedy making numerous, unsubstantiated claims regarding a link between childhood vaccinations and autism. In addition, alarming language on the CDC website states, "The claim 'vaccines do not cause autism' is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism."Join Dr. H. as she unravels what the scientific evidence ACTUALLY says about childhood vaccines and autism. If you haven't checked out the first episode where she explains what the term "evidence-based" means, you should listen to that episode first. (Secretary Kennedy should listen to that episode too!) Don't forget to follow and rate the show. And please share the podcast with your friends and family.

Taking Tylenol during pregnancy and risk of autism: What does the science say?
A few months ago, President Trump and Secretary Kennedy held a memorable press conference where women were warned to "fight like hell" to not take Tylenol during pregnancy because they said it could cause autism in children. These claims have been followed with intermittent social media posts in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS reinforcing this idea. Join Dr. H. as she uses a nice combination of both upper and lowercase letters to look at the actual science behind this claim.
