Stop Violence Against Doctors!
Violence against doctors is a curse indeed! The very doctors who try to save the lives of their patients, often have to face defeat in their efforts because patient relatives bring in their patients when it is already too late - whether after a physical accident or just in terms of the spread of a life-threatening disease. And then, when the doctors are unable to revive and save the patient, the relatives get furious and beat up the doctors, causing them grievous bodily harm and subject them to mental stress and trauma. Doctor Ravi Wankhedkar and Doctor Jayesh Lele, both senior office bearers of the Indian Medical Association, discuss this serious malaise of Society, ie Violence Against Doctors, its causes, why perpetrators of such violence remain undeterred, the harmful effects of such violence on Doctors, and how together, the powers that be, society and doctors can work to get rid of Violence Against Doctors. This Podcast is Episode 2 in the IMA Podcast Series, Health of Wealth. If you believe this message is important enough to spread, please do share this podcast with your friends and family. Thank you!
