Well we made it through another awards show without physical altercation! Job well done, I say!   Now join us as we go over the 98th Academy Awards and if we are really happy with the final votes and winners of this year. (hint...we were pretty stoked!)

It's the final countdown! With the Oscars right around the corner we bring on a good friend of ours, Michelle Singletary, to discuss our final thoughts on who goes home big! (Yall listen to the costuming about Frankenstein though!!)   We also do a deep dive into the puzzle piece corpse of a film known as The Bride and then a more....jovial review on the new Pixar movie, Hoppers!

We are back with Part 2 of Walt's insane life! After the betrayal from the previous episode will Walt learn his ways? WILL WALT CONQUER ALL!?!??! WHAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN BETWEEN NOW AND SNOW WHITE!?!?!??!??!!?     well.....lets start with a mouse....

We're back into the main feed with a whole new outlook! No more movies you haven't heard of! NOSIREE! We are just going straight to the movies WE WANT TO DO (in the timeline that is!) Our Flux Capacitors have been fixed and we are able to skip ahead so please join us while we come up to a cloudy duo with one of their lesser known films and explain greenery of their humor!   So sit back, light it up, and sit back as we talk abotu Cheech and Chong's Nice Dreams!

It's the most inconsistent weekly Monday show only one could expect from us! And this time ANDY IS HOME! join Jay Drew and Andy as they act absolutely dumb and nerd out and even go back in time to go over all the new movies that are out and the news of the industry!

Our weekly show has now been accomplished two weeks in a row! THATS A RECORD!

It's here! The bridge we must cross in our side show series, Drew's Disney Dump!  This will be our first mini-series for the Hello Movie family and it is well deserved! While Byron and I were going through all those Disney films in my Disney Dump we noticed a lot of drama going on in the background of the information we were collecting. By the time we got to Walt's untimely demise during The Jungle Book we realized we needed to share the insane things going on behind the scenes of all these movies.  And where else to start than where it all began.......at birth! So join us as we meet Dad of the Year Elias Disney and the beautiful leisurely life that Walt got to live during his first 20 years on our lovely Earth.  This chapter will show why Walt was tough as nails in his own studio and why the man fought for everything even when the towel should've been thrown in.  A great way to start off our series that will lead to the next chapter where we see Walt go from doing all of this work in life solo....to finding a very special friend who will go on to be the one of the greatest creations that will embody hope, dreams, and magic for generations to come!

A new side series we decided to start up! Drew realized that he and Jay had nothing to do on most Mondays but lay in bed and be lazy so he said "why not annoy some of the Podmates with another series!?!?" Here we will talk about Events in Cinema, Celebrity Gossip, Box Office Returns, New movies and movies we watched throughout the week!  LESGO!

WE ARE BACK!!! Sorry about the break folks! The holidays, once again, gave us more than we bargained for! But don't you worry we are back and at it once again! And what better way to start of the new year with an episode talking about LAST YEAR!?!? Yessir! listen to us talk about our top 5 and bottom 5 films of 25!  Thanks for all the support and hey, this new year looks good on all of ya! 

We have hit a milestone! It’s the end of an era! Sadly, that era is Walt’s time with this world. But he definitely went out with a bang on what is, in my opinion, one of the best Disney films out there. The Jungle Book! It’s in my top 5 for sure!   Learn just how special Walt was when this film was being made. And learn how much it meant to everyone else in the animation studios!   I’ve never been happier to jump into the jungles of India and do the stupidest impressions of Christopher Walken and for some reason Mark Twain!  

Just before Halloween, we are throwin' out the second part of the amazing slasher series, Friday the 13th.   It's the one where we finally get Jason, albeit without his mask, and we have the most popular final girl in the franchise!   Oh, and even better: all the cuts that the MPAA made to the movie because we can't have anything nice! 

All the blockbusters that came out this past summer, along with our takes on them! From Jurassic World to Weapons! Fantastic Four to Superman! Get our takes and our insight on this year's hits!

Come forth and hear the legend of the one true king, KING ARTHUR!   Of course, we all know the legend, but let’s dive into the making of it! Let’s see how this film came into Walt’s hands back in the 30’s (because of course it did).    Byron and Drew look at one of the greatest stories of the young King Arthur in what would be Walt Disney’s last film released while he was still alive, The Sword and the Stone!

If you’re having dog problems, I feel bad for you, son. I got 101 problems but Cruella ain’t one!   And just like that we have moved on to what is now a more modern era of Disney! Yes sir we are jumping into yet another classic with 101 Dalmatians, the film that CHANGED animation with its usage of the xerox process!  Revolutionary can’t even describe how this film changed animation all together! So join Byron and Drew as they talk about not only the Pongo and Perdita but also one of Disney’s most recognizable and favorite villains, Cruella De Ville.

John Boorman’s fantasy epic spans the entirety of King Arthur’s life and reign - filled with magnificent set pieces, grandiose music and themes, and an all-star cast that gives some truly amazing performances. Join us as we sit at the Round Table and discuss the film that launched several prominent actor’s careers - Excalibur! 

Are we REALLY a movie podcast if we don’t cover this one? I didn’t think so. It’s the film that would kick off a franchise that has only gotten stronger almost 50 years later!   We go over the original 77 release and complain about the insane additions George added decades later.   Get ready for warp speed because we are glad to say Hello, Star Wars!

Comedy legend Jerry Lewis makes his return to the big screen for the first time in a decade. Was it worth the wait? What was he working on in the years leading up to this film? Join us as we talk about all this and more in our discussion of the 1981 comedy, Hardly Working

Drewview middle of year cinema update: Drewviews on Sinners, Thunderbolts, Final Destination Bloodlines, Mission Impossible the Final Reckoning, LILO and Stitch and we talk about the upcoming King of the Hill and movies we are looking forward to!

Doggone it! It’s Disney’s first “original” movie! (We were just as confused about this as well!).  It’s one of the best pasta eating scenes in film history and it almost didn’t make the cut! Join this group of tramps as we avoid the doghouse while digging deep into the Disney classic: Lady and the Tramp!

Oh MAN, it’s the O…MEN….3. And there’s not much conflict whatsoever so this movie is just all around a big lie! Join us as we dive into this trilogy’s end and question why even make it. Even Sam Neil, who admittedly didn’t try, can’t save this bore, but maybe our jokes can give some sort of comfort!

Cinderelly, Cinderelly! We’re back with a new Dump! My Disney Dump! I know it’s been a while but we were finally able to get Jay back from the forest! (See previous Disney Dump please.) New season, who dis?! We are finally back, and the kickoff of 1981 is none other than the female-led comedy Nine to Five! Join all 4 of us as we jump into this wild popular comedy and dissect moments of it. Like what happened to Eddie, the mail room guy?! Or how Andy hates the mechanism that is binding Mr. Hart! For our season finale, we conclude 1980 with the buddy comedy Stir Crazy! Directed by the legendary Sidney Poitier, the film stars Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor as two down-on-their-luck New yorkers who head west for a change of pace, only to find themselves wrongfully sent to prison! Will their incompetent lawyer get them out on appeal, or will the be forced to enact their escape plan? Listen to find out! 

When Ming the Merciless, Emperor of the Planet Mongo sets his diabolical sights on Earth, there is only one man who can save every one of us - FLASH! After decades as a popular comic strip, and a handful of adaptations as a TV series and film serial, Flash Gordon finally gets a proper big screen debut. We'll briefly go over the history of the franchise and talk about all of the delightful elements - from the villainous performance of Max von Sydow to the soundtrack written and performed by Queen - that went into making this fun-filled space adventure.

Robert Redford's directorial debut didn't reach #1 at the box office, although it garnered six Oscar nominations, of which it won four, including Best Picture and Best Director. The film - an adaptation of the novel by Judith Guest - chronicles the tribulations of a shattered family as they each attempt to cope in the aftermath of a tragedy. Join us as we discuss this subtle, overlooked yet poignant story of loss and healing. *Content warning - this story contains discussion of and reference to suicide and suicidal ideation which may be upsetting to some people, listener discretion is advised.*

Drop and give us twenty, because we're headed to boot camp with Goldie Hawn in this week's film, Private Benjamin. Hawn's comedic talents shine in her role as the fish out of water who is tricked into joining the Army by an unscrupulous recruiter. The great Walter Matthau's talents are utterly wasted in this comedy spy thriller that lacks comedy, thrills, and come to think of it doesn't really have much spying in it either. Take a trip around the globe with us as we lead the CIA on a wild goose chase and discuss Hopscotch, a movie that makes us question who is selecting films for The Criterion Collection.

This episode will take us from the horrors of war in Vietnam to the mean streets of New York City, as we follow the story of veteran-turned-vigilante John Eastland in The Exterminator. We'll go over all of the plot contrivances, questionable story decisions and gruesome violence in this tale of one man who goes on a personal quest to rid the streets of crime, with the police and the CIA hot on his trail.

The gang is back together in the sequel to the 1977 classic that put the Pontiac Trans Am and Coors Banquet beer on the map. Were they able to recapture the same magic they made in the first film? Not so much. This one was so rough we had to recruit a new co-host to help us out. Join us in welcoming a new member to the crew as we take a look at Smokey and the Bandit II

We have finally hit the war! But right before that: a little movie about a lovable fawn came into our lives. As the animator strike ends we take a tale into one of the most beautiful Disney films imaginable.  Join Byron and Drew as we go over both the book that inspired the movie, and the movie itself, that gave us all our first sense of loss as little innocent children!  Believe me: this book won’t leave you feeling twitterpated

It’s the long anticipated team up that fans have been waiting for! Not only does Hugh Jackman make his return as the iconic X Man, but Ryan Reynolds is catapulted into the Disney MCU in a film as unapologetically vulgar as it is brutally violent. Does Deadpool and Wolverine do justice to the beloved characters, and does it pay proper homage to the 20th Century Fox saga? Check out our Drewview to find out!

Brian De Palma has directed some of the most legendary films of the 20th century - including Carrie, Scarface, and The Untouchables. This psychological thriller starring Michael Caine is a direct homage to Alfred Hitchcock…so why is Dressed to Kill even more controversial now than it was upon release? Ah, nothing like a good ol’ summer camp. Like our previous episode, Little Darlings (where Drew couldn’t find the damn mic), we find ourselves yet again at a loving camp. Just in time for summer we are releasing our summer camp episode! Yessir the coming of age film when 2 girls from opposite sides of the tracks have a bet on who can lose their V card first!
