    Episode 2: Why Movement Medicine?

This podcast episode is me free form musing on the answer to this question, and it sounds a little like what I have written below: Movement medicine is a broad name to encompass the range of movement possible across dimensions of the human experience. Movement can mean many things... - The physical movement of our bodies through outdoor recreation, yoga asana, somatic release, physical therapy, calisthenics, and dance. - The physical and energetic movement of our life-force through meditation and breathing practices. - The movement of energy through expressing emotions and making sounds. Movement medicine, in my definition, is anything that moves you inside and/or out to bring you closer to harmony between your mind, body, and spirit. It is essential to move through what we go through. Suppressed emotions and physical stagnancy are the root cause for many illnesses and disease in our society. We as individuals and as free communities owe it to ourselves and each other to take charge of our own wellbeing and MOVE our bodies so we can CLEAR our minds and FREE our souls. The only way we will be able to shift collectively as a species is if we wake up, start taking better care of ourselves, and sharing resources with each other. Humans are powerful creatures that can create a lot of beauty and a lot of suffering, depending on what we focus our energy on. Starting to move your body every day, even if it is simply dancing to one song or going for a morning walk, will have ripple effects on your energy and clarity in life moving forward. Episode 1: who am I and why am I here?

Hello and welcome to the I, Me, We podcast: an exploration of the human experience through the lens of my personal stories and what I have learned throughout my life, as well as through the knowledge and experience of other humans in my orbit who speak here with me. This episode is an introduction to who I am and why I am here. I summarize the answer to that question, to the best of my ability, in a casual manner to give you a taste of what to expect in this podcast. I would love to hear/read your questions and suggestions for different topics you are interested in hearing about!
