Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic Dev Teases Game Length - IGN Daily Fix

In today's Daily Fix:Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic could still be years away from release, but that hasn't stopped the internet from speculating how long the game will be. Forza Horizon 6 Pirate Gets Banned Until the Year 10,000 - IGN Daily Fix

In today's Daily Fix:The upcoming launch of Forza Horizon 6 suffered a setback last weekend when the game was leaked onto piracy websites. Now developer Playground Games is going after anyone caught streaming it, and they're making good on their threats. An unidentified YouTuber streamed the game, with their gamertag visible, and was hit with a hardware ban until December 31, 9999, a ban of nearly 8,000 years. That same pirate then used a different account to stream the game ahead, and said they weren't worried about any sort of ban. In other news, eBay has rejected GameStop's offer to buy the company for $56 billion. GameStop's CEO Ryan Cohen apparently isn't helping his company's case by going to CNBC and refusing to give a straight answer about where GameStop will even get fifty-six billion dollars. Entire Forza Horizon 6 Leaked on Steam - IGN Daily Fix

In today's Daily Fix:Forza Horizon 6 was accidentally made available much earlier than announced, when unencrypted Steam preload files were uploaded over the weekend. Steam games are uploaded to the service via encrypted files that customers can preload via preordering. Steam then unencrypts the files to make the game playable at the announced release date and time. But in Forza Horizon 6's case, the files went up unencrypted, which quickly made their way to piracy sites. Microsoft has since been plugging the leak by going after anyone trying to livestream the game ahead of release. In other news, Stellar Blade 2 will be self-published by developer ShiftUp, and they've left the door open for a multiplatform release. The first Stellar Blade is a PS5 exclusive, but the new deal could mean it will make its way to Switch 2 and Xbox. And finally, Nintendo has confirmed they still have unannounced games coming this year. This comes amid the company's falling stock value, even after announcing a Switch 2 price hike, reportedly at the behest of shareholders.

In today's Daily Fix:A Bank of America analyst thinkgs Grand Theft Auto 6 should retail for $80, if only to help justify the high pricepoint for other games. Bank of America's Omar Dessouky thinks other game companies would have a difficult time justifying $80 for games, at a time in the industry where games are struggling to make their development budgets back and a higher pricepoint would help alleviate some of the struggle. In related GTA 6 news, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick commented on why there's no PC port of the game at launch, and it's because their core audience is on console. Like previous GTAs, GTA 6 is expected to come to PC eventually. But if there's a silver lining, The Mandalorian and Grogu cost almost half of what Solo cost to make.
