In Session is a podcast from University of the Pacific Law Review at the McGeorge School of law in Sacramento, California. Each year, the Law Review dedicates one issue of our journal to reviewing recently proposed and enacted legislation in both the California and Nevada State legislatures. That issue is called Greensheets. Why Greensheets? Well, because, historically, that issue was printed on green paper. Why green paper? Who knows, it's not important. What is important, is that this podcast is an extension of the Greensheets. In each episode of In Session, the current Chief Legislation Editor on the Law Review will sit down with a staff-writer whose article was selected for publication, and they will discuss the bill that staff-writer wrote about. They will explore, among other things, what prompted the bill, the competing arguments for and against the bill, and whether the bill will accomplish what it is supposed to.
