Likewise, the costs involved in progress and growth may be difficult to accept… however selecting a low-cost opportunity may result in the “you only get what you pay for” reality. This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENT: “The Road To Better” recommends taking a “refresh yourself” time in determining the best way forward. Right?Well this month I try to place necessary attention on the extra-curricular quality-driven services/product VOIDS that are not stressed nor given timely attention in the workplace and/or by employees. So as a result… these VOIDS tend to find their way into unimportant vaults that take away their opportunity to be recognized as SPECIAL!It is hard to explain the Podcast’s goal in this short intro… but the discussed examples hopefully bring home a special LEARNING MOMENT.  Enjoy the listen. 

Often people in charge talk strongly about encouraging people to think more creatively and cause new idea generation. However, most employing units don’t take example-setting steps to “show” this commitment and move toward Creating A MAKERSPACE! This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast is all about the purpose and potential value of Creating A MAKERSPACE within your home and workplace. The podcast discussion tries to explain the what/where/why/when and how questions in relation to MAKERSPACE development. But do we mostly deal with the more complex personal side… also Yes! Well my Working With People podcast tries to offer five simple but specific “words of advice” in this topic area. It is always extra special to prepare the November 15th Inspiring Innovations, Inc. Learning Moments Podcast! Whether it’s because of my hunting blind recording location or just remembering some of my Dad‘s traditions, the messages I prioritize just seem a little more personally important. “Positioning” Through Innovation & Entrepreneurship is a professional activity that will make a positive difference no matter your employment responsibilities. Scheduling time to consider: Customers Then - Customers Now, Communication (2 Elephants in the Room), Partnering In & Across Boundaries, Creating An Idea Mill, Building Non-Traditional Products/Services and using PROFESSIONAL DISCOMFORT via Continuous Improvement… are all priority “Positioning” categories to consider! Have a fun listen and we will discuss more next month. 

This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast is all about trying a “Weights” system to improve your life and workplace decision-making process. Is the podcast message a little confusing… yes…but so is basic decision-making. Does every decision include “weight” factors that vary based on the occupation you have, the business you own, how old you are, where you live and the people you trust to give you great advice? I told you the podcast makes you really think!!My 1-5 Weighting System recommendation does not make decision-making much easier. However, I believe it will give you insight as to what factors most influence a certain decision. Then YOU have to decide if you are giving all considerations a fair contribution to the decision… or just one or two major ones. Enjoy the listen a couple times! 

When you think about professional development, sometimes you need to look in the mirror and consider you… your business… your organization’s current and long-term value in the marketplace. Are your services… products needed, and growing… or fading and sliding toward that “obsolete” category?! This Building Indispensability podcast is meant to encourage everyone to self-check their value in the workplace and customer needs arena. This assessment should be a. natural business/organization/personal exercise to ensure appropriate changes and progress actions are taken to continually place your group in that “you can’t be successful without me” category! Enjoy the listen. 

This Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast is all about doing a honest assessment of the positive - progressive - future-minded messages you and your organization convey to everyone… everyday. Think about all of the different ways we communicate today and then consider the confident quality of each message delivered by your company. Are they (the messages) Sending Progressive - Initiative Messages that instill a future growth mindset?  This self assessment action would not be easy… nor just a one-time activity. It must be an ongoing continuous improvement “habit”! As I have done in the past… I have tried to share potential hours of discussion issues into just 10 minutes.  This month my Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS are totally... completely and happily all devoted to INNOVATION. It is a professional development area I have prioritized my entire career. Specifically, the podcast discusses the importance of actions required when Retaining a "SPIRIT" of Innovation in your everyday lifestyle. The suggested actions are not totally new or unique… however they require regular attention to make INNOVATION a true "way-of-life"! Enjoy the listen. 

As I have mentioned a number of times… I never really know where an inspiration for a LEARNING MOMENTS podcast may come from. But this month, I hope you can tell Homework-FOREVER was driven by the students in every one of my college classes!Hopefully when they/you listen to this fun and important life-long applicable message… everyone will understand my Homework- FOREVER “position". And take note that I recommended a second-listen during my special podcast “DISCUSSIONIST” time. My hope is that you will take steps to truly personalize the podcast’s individual growth value.

 This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast is all about progressively dealing with Unhealthy Professional Competition. As the title suggests, motivation and encouragement brought on by competition in the workplace may bring about good results… however, there are often “unhealthy” outcomes too. Decline in creativity, reduction in production, and less project collaboration are all examples of Unhealthy Professional Competition outcomes. They may occur in a subtle fashion or be hidden behind/within other regular organizational functions. I tried to do my best to cover this topic in a concise way… but addressing Unhealthy Professional Competition requires more than a few minutes. Enjoy the listen! 

This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast is driven by the proclamation: “You can change jobs during your career… but you can’t change what makes you SPECIAL!”Innovation and entrepreneurship in the public sector have always been a priority in all that I have worked on. So somehow it only seemed appropriate and timely that I discuss my Learn – Grow + Earn Tour concept as this month’s podcast topic. It has traditionally been fun to adopt a very effective private sector promotional idea and apply it to a public sector service area. The result has GREAT useful potential!Yes, I may sound rushed in my LEARNING MOMENTS “delivery”. As we begin our Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS line-up of podcast topics for the new year… I thought I would begin with an issue that has “flustered” me for a long time. Specifically I am referring to those who in my career have claimed: “I am NOT Innovative!” I think you will find this podcast a little entertaining… but also very suggestive that EVERYONE has a little creativity inside them. Sometimes advancing professional development pushes you to go back to the basics. This month’s podcast Meeting Preparation… is all about that journey. Whether it is appropriately AGENDA SHARING   in our transparent times… or strategically building Meeting Preparation OWNERSHIP… improving in these areas is just progress necessary. Finally, although TIME MANAGEMENT is necessary, and even critical in our over-informational world... prioritizing it in every Meeting Preparation moment is solid common sense.I hope you enjoy the listen and share this message to colleagues.

The Cambridge English Dictionary defines Global Citizenship as follows: “The idea that you should show loyalty and support for the world as a whole as much as for the particular country in which you live.” Whether it’s the steady advances of technological information-sharing… or the increasing number of global, world-wide impacting issues; the need for everyone to realize their Global Citizenship status is a growing priority. In the podcast you will hear me state that Global Citizenship is NOT part of my standard LEARNING MOMENTS discussion-ist topic areas. However, if people take a quick assessment of the steps they take to make a decision on a major issue, their resulting process may not be as “natural” as we would think.President John F. Kennedy has helped me form this month's podcast message. Based on the information contained in a book entitled “Undelivered”, I was able to glean a great assembly of rationales for obtaining “As Much Advice As Possible” to make every decision one makes as good as it can be!Enjoy the listen.

This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast gives my Mother a special voice in providing a unique professional growth message. The “setting” for the MOMENT is classic… and the LEARNING is simple but too often overlooked.  And I am sure you are wondering about the title: “Where are we going… you will know when we get there!” and how it fits as a label for this month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast? Well listen closely and you will find out!  

The action of Empowerment… “giving” someone/ some group authority or legal power to do something on your behalf” … is a strong professional personnel decision for anyone at all levels. This definition sounds similar to simple delegation… but it is not.  This months Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS Podcast: The EXTRA Factors of Empowerment, goes behind the delegation actions and discusses the much needed EXTRA Factors that are key to a successful Empowerment assignment. Although it is understood that no two Empowerment endeavors are the same… I believe there are at least three Factors to consider when initiating Empowerment action.  Enjoy the listen. 

Innovation Leadership… in my world it is a regular, solid, necessary blended principle in every career and business building initiative. There is less and less room for “that is the way we have always done it” thoughts and action. And the world seems more than ready to seek out something new and special.  This month’s The “First 5” Innovation LEADERSHIP Principles are a group of unique reflections of conversations I had with colleagues regarding our common “always-a-better-way” philosophy.  I tried to fit a lot in a few minutes! I believe it is important to start our new year 2023 out right by offering a message related to one of our principal topic areas: LEADERSHIP. It is the final podcast for 2022! And although we have discussed fun, important, thought-generating topics every month… this month is totally special!  Why?  This is the first time I have had a guest/guests on the podcast with me. One of my American Government & Politics classes were very persistent with their request to be part of a podcast discussion… and this month, they “got-their-way.”  Although brief, I know their input on our Fine Tuning Your Listening Channels topic was right on track.  I hope you enjoy the listen and we will talk next in 2023. 

This months Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS Podcast title speaks for itself and needs no additional explanation. The habit of “Questioning Your Decision-Making” isn’t new, but I believe in recent times it has become a more dehabilitating habit for those in a leadership role.I am assuming everyone will be able to relate to the discussion points raised in this critical podcast. It is difficult to devise a way to slow down the speed and volume of information that is shared with us every minute of every day. The result is a growing lack of comprehension of the Who - What - When -  Where and Why’s of actions and events going on all around us. Hence we need to think about our capacity of: Understanding - Understandability! This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast first discusses the reasons we are facing an Understanding - Understandability dilemma. Work families are a very important element in building and retaining a great workforce culture. And when someone leaves… for whatever reason… there are good and not-so-good ways of dealing with this transitional action.There are no easy, standardized methods of working through Seasons of Change. The suggestions I offer are intended to be helpful, but every situation is different. Use LEADERSHIP – COMMUNICATIONS –PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT – INNOVATION as your guiding principles, and whats best for everyone will be the result.Enjoy the listen.

We have all heard the phrase, “There are always at least two sides to every story.”  Well not only is the “two-sides” part of this phrase very true… but this month's Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast will talk about the importance of Seeing ALL Sides of an issue. Professionally working to improve your Seeing ALL Sides skills and learning how to strategically apply this critical high value ability are all part of the discussion. It is always wonderful to get a request from a TRIPLE III TIME Blog reader or Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS Podcast listener. Well this month’s podcast Reaching Back… To Grow Forward is really a combination of both.  Back in December 2016, I penned a TRIPLE III TIME Blog message that included a TOP 10 list of ideas that asked everyone to look back in their pasts… gather up all the “bests”… and strategically utilize them for their future. The requester asked me to offer a special podcast that provided a “live” discussion of each TOP 10 item.  Well listen closely and plan to spend a few more minutes hearing the extended message. Public Sector Entrepreneurship. This topic is/has been one of my favorite career-long priorities and principles everyday….
