The average college graduate in America walks across that stage with $35,000 in debt for a degree that took them 4 years to earn and enters a job market where AI is eliminating entry-level positions faster than universities can update their course catalogs. And yet we're still telling our kids that college is the path. What if it's not? The reality is that we're living through the biggest shift in how the world works since the internet was born. AI is rewriting the rules of what jobs exist, what skills matter, and what knowledge is actually valuable. And while the world is changing at light speed universities are still teaching the same curriculum they taught 10 years ago at twice the price. Something has to give and as a father of 2 teenage boys I wasn't willing to wait for the system to figure it out.
