Lake of the Ozarks June 6, 2023 big Bass big top waters big jigs, big worms and all the BASS you can handle. Water Temp 80 Level FULL NO GENERATION
Lake of the Ozarks bass fishing is on fire June 6, 2023 water temperature is 80°. Water flow is nonexistent, the bite is pretty good. Its easy to catch keepers but big ones are hard to come by. They may be in 1 feet or 40. Pick your favorite bait for the conditions and get with it. SHAD, Bluegill, and other forage are very suspended. Overhead cover like docks are very good during the shade periods. Tree Shad and bluff bank/steep bank shad is key right now! Wolf packs are out and hitting top waters but size is hard to find. BIG girls seem to be individual fish that are set up on bluegill. Yes you can catch a big one on a spook or swimbait, but the majority of the bigger fish seem to be around bluegill beds and place bluegill hang out. Docks, trees, lights with bugs, etc. I havent seen the occasional crappie eating monster bass, but thats because the bluegill spawn going on. the moon is just pass FUll MOON, the water is 80 and rising, the level is rising to full 659+ and its clear everywhere. ( if you have listened and read this much Im going to throw in a NUGGET - gold one. ) The entire lake is clear for LOZ. If you find dirty water, you have found gold. I'll leave it at that. - good fishing folks! email: [email protected] Instagram: jarodsheltonfishing facebook: jarodsheltonfishing

Kentucky Lake April 2023 Co Angler Perspective
This is my co angler perspective on the Toyota Series at Kentucky Lake 2023. I made a huge mistake! I love using monofilatment line. I've used it for 30 years. Before Flourocarbon, Before Braid to Flourocarbon. It's worked for me, but there are advantages to all lines. We discuss this in detail here. Check it out a listen if you have a drive, or have to time to learn more about Wacky Rig set ups, and Ned Rig set ups. What is the best Rod, Reel, line, hook? I may have made a $35, 000 mistake!

Big bash bash recap Kalist Wins 2nd Place for Kids Division on Blue Rock Spinnerbait
Bbb April 2023 is in the books. We chunked and wind'ed the ole Blue rock custom tackle spinnerbait and mananged to catch a few. The big ones alluded us, but kalista is 7 years old - and caught the 2nd place Bass on Sunday. The weather was not perfect. Winds blew us all over, which was great for the spinnerbite. Then the hail came. Thank fully we were in the dock by the time the big storm hit. All was fun and we were safe and sound. Good family fun!

Lake of the Ozarks January 9, 2023 Crappie and bass report
Lake of the Ozarks 2023 January 9, 2023. Water temperature 42 to 45. Wind 8MPH from South. gust up to 15 by afternoon. This helped the jerkbait bite. Crappie and Bass 8 to 16 feet on open sloping secondary points. Fished around H Toads area. Alhonna area to gravois. Crappie seem to like the first dock in a bay or off a point. Brush fish can be 15 Feet deep or more depending on the dock and brush. Other crappie on rocks and channel bends near secondaries seem to like that 12 to 15 feet range. Jerkbaits are my favorite. some fish want the DD Pointer 100 in chartruese shad, some want the crappie jig. Some schools bite well, others do not. Keep moving. Lots of questions on graphs. I have a low budget Garmin 93 and side image for dots and shadows on the points. Brush lights right up under docks and open water brush. Fish the obvious. Graph till you find the "aha" there they are. You will catch them but you have to graph a lot. They move with the shad a lot. Shad helps the bite tremendously. Its a great time to be out. Clear water is fishing 10 times better than dirty river water. The glaize has very clear water, the dam, Gravois and Niangua all has clear enough water to jerkbait. Have fun its the best I've ever seen. Big population boom and good spawns are making things great.

Lake of the Ozarks Crappie fishing report 12/16/2022 jrod fishing missouri fishing charters
Lake of the Ozarks Crappie fishing report 12/16/2022 from Jarod Shelton of JROD Fishing, Missouri Fishing Charters and Fishing Guide, and JJ TACKLE. We are on some crappie! Everyone is at LOZ but I talk about some tidbits of what I like to use to catch them. The water temperatures have fallen and you can find water from 42* to 45*. The best jig for us right now is the a RC Head from RC Baits in 1/8 oz. Pink Head with bobby garland baby shad in monkey milk, with the tail dyed chartreuse. I also like the purple and chartreuse crappie tube and black and chartreuse in the dirty water. If you want the jig to fall faster for live scope, put a split shot 12-16 inches above the jig or put a similar rig together. Sometimes I like to use a bullet weight with a swivel tied to braided line, and then a leader. This helps a lot with line twist. Fish can be found in 8 feet up the river all the way to 25 feet but most of them are suspended under big boat docks. The first boat dock by a channel swing, a point, or bluff end is usually the best one. Scan and graph until you find a wad of them. They are stacked in lots of numbers right now and should remain that way. Fishing all winter should be fantastic. I'm catching a lot of fish on jigs, not too many on jerk baits. The water is too dirty from the 45 - 50MM, so I stick with the jig. Minnows will work for sure, and it doesn't hurt to have some crappie nibbles. GET AFTER IT!
