The Power of Your Mere Presence: Lessons From TEDx Freiburg
In this episode of JILax, Life Seasoned, We are going to explore the hidden struggle of the "Expat Identity." Inspired by a chance encounter at TEDx Freiburg and realizations working at the time I was working in a neuro-rehabilitation clinic, I'll dive into the paralyzing fear of waiting to be "perfect" before being really "present."We often feel useless when we can't find the right words or "fix" a situation, especially in a new language is also ij play. But drawing from speaker Florian Weber’s insights, this will be a reminder that in moments of crisis or connection, people don’t need a mechanic—they need a witness. Whether at a patient's bedside or a coffee break, your "mere presence" carries more weight than an excellent language proficiency ever could.

Whether at a patient's bedside or a coffee break, your "mere presence" carries more weight than your excellent language proficiency.
