Meet Whitney Chaney...our journey together started over 10 years ago when she was hired to work alongside me as my mortgage processor. Not long after I made the decision to change to real estate, but we remained friends and colleagues. She even trusted me to be her realtor when I was brand new! We've been back together for over two years, now as lenders. It feels like our paths were meant to be intertwined. We are truly yin and yang: she helps me see different perspectives that I often miss, bringing balance and clarity to both my personal and professional life and I sometimes soften her a little bit. 😂I’m so grateful for her friendship. I honestly don’t know how I’d survive the chaos of the mortgage world without her. She’s calm, collected, wise, snarky (in the best way), and tough as nails — all the things you want in a teammate and a friend.And now, she’s about to start her most exciting journey yet — becoming a mom! I couldn't be more thrilled for her and Tyler in this next chapter.

Today, I’m chatting with someone who truly embodies what it means to build something from the ground up — Gina Sutton.Gina got into real estate back in 2015. She was a brand new mom, had a background in wealth management, and quickly realized that family had to come first. So she made a big move — literally — from Ft. Worth back to Lubbock, where she had gone to school at Texas Tech. The catch? She didn’t really know anyone in town, except her husband’s family.But that didn’t stop her. Gina rolled up her sleeves, figured out how to meet people, start conversations, and slowly but surely, built a business. Now she runs the Gina Sutton Group — a team of driven women helping others find home while also balancing life as moms, wives, and business owners.In this episode, Gina shares how she found her way, why work-life balance matters, and how she’s created a career that supports both her family and her passion.

Appraisals can be the hero or the heartbreak of the transaction, yet so many people- buyers, sellers and yes, even the realtors and lenders- don't fully understand all that goes into them. Meet Jet Seideman...he is a licensed real estate appraiser who brings both expertise and clarity to a topic that can sometimes feel like a mystery. He shares how he got started in the business, what appraisers really look for, why they matter so much to a deal, and how we as industry professionals can better work with- not against- the appraisal process. 

Meet Zach Miller...he is new to real estate- but definitely not new to helping people. Zach made a transition into the world of real estate, but his heart for service has been evident for years. Before stepping into this new chapter, Zach served as a youth minister- and not just any youth minister-he was actually my own kids' youth minister. He's left an impact on families and people in our community for years. Listen in on his journey! 

Meet Karisa Langley...she is a realtor with Keller Williams. She started in 2017 as a solo agent and joined Jennifer Colley's team in 2020. She has a background in social work and education and found a passion in sales, in particular helping others find a home for the needs of their family. Karisa talks about team values, the evolution of real estate as a career for women and how she has been inspired to help others and some of her favorite things about being a realtor. 

Meet Kerri Thompson...she is a realtor and also helps realtors in their businesses to be better realtors. She works for Westmark Realty in the role of Marketing and Operations Director but more so acts as a teacher, coach and mentor for Westmark. Her goal is to come along side others in their real estate journey. She also owns her own business, Simple Things By Kerri. Simple Things offers coaching, workshops, and tools to help you live with clarity, courage and simplicity.

Meet Jenifer Hudman...Jenifer began her real estate classes in 2005 and worked part-time for many years. She took the plunge into full-time real estate in 2017. Family has always been her priority, and her goal was to have more opportunities for traveling and fun experiences. Listen in on her story as she talks about the challenges of going all in and building a business and the advice she gives for agents in the same position. 

Meet Tom Couture...you might already know him if you live in Lubbock. He has been in the mortgage industry for a while and is about to celebrate his 50th year in 2026. Needless to say, he has helped a lot of families get into a home! He has seen many ups and downs in the industry and has worn many hats through the last 49 years. I consider him not only a mentor,but friend and have been so grateful to work alongside him for the last 2.5 years. Listen as he shares his secret to longevity and what he's excited about for 2025. 

Cassandra Rosas is back to help us understand more about credit. She goes into detail about how to build credit if you don't have any and what to do if you have blemished credit. She also shares many of the changes in the industry that can affect you as a consumer.  

Meet Austin Brown...He is a realtor at Progressive Properties. He studied real estate in college but didn't become licensed until years later. From that point, he went all in on real estate and hasn't stopped learning since he began. Austin knew the value that social media can bring to a business and implemented it early on in his career, which is attributed to his success. When he's not helping his clients, he is spending time with his family and also has a big heart and passion for non profit work. 

Meet Kiley Kelley...she is a realtor with Nathan Jordan Real Estate and has a background in the medical field. As she started her family, she saw how their needs were changing and going into real estate helped meet some of those changing needs. Kiley enjoys assisting clients in walking through every stage of their lives  and meeting them where they are in the journey. She is a dear friend and I'm excited to share her story with you! 

Meet Malcolm Chambliss...He is a realtor at RESIDE Real Estate Co. and has been in real estate since 2015. Having a background in law enforcement he's used many of the skills in law enforcement to help him be a good negotiator in real estate. Being in real estate has given him the freedom and flexibility he was looking for in a career and for his family's needs. 

Meet Cameron Nettle...not only does he serve as an escrow officer for Lubbock Abstract, but he is also the manager as well. He shares his story on how we got started into the title business and what that journey has been like that led him to becoming the manager. There was so much I didn't know! Cameron educates us on understanding title work but also gets a little more personal and shares his journey of sobriety. 

Today it's just me and I'm sharing my experience this year starting this project. Needless to say, it's been scary and overwhelming at times, and I'm grateful for those who have encouraged, supported, and helped along the way.  I share a couple of things I learned along the way this year in trying to get this off the ground and also keep moving forward. Meet SuzAnne Scott...She is with RESIDE Real Estate and she also happens to be my sister. Her journey in real estate has led her many places and with different roles. She has been in sales, coaching, and now serves as the team leader for RESIDE. ^ of those years we had the pleasure of working together and we openly talk about what that was like, the joy and the struggle of that time. Listen in as she shares her story of how she got started and what has led her to where she is today. 

Meet Lee McClure...Lee is a former mega church pastor who began real estate in 2018. He started as a solo agent and quickly grew to success both in business and being a pilar of culture among Keller Williams. He started his team, The Hilltop Real Estate Group, that has a mission of following Matthew 5:14-16, "You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden..." and has grown organically to where he is today. Lee leads with his faith, conviction and love for others in everything he does. 

Meet Paisley Kelch! She is in her 5th year of real estate. She started in 2019 at Coldwell Banker as a solo agent. After two and a half years she joined Mark Nanny on his team and learned so much about real estate and life from one of the best in the industry. Listen as she talks about what it was like to get started, her time with Mark and how she is helping new agents thrive in the business in a coaching role. 

Meet Jen Colley! She started in real estate in 2015 as a solo agent when her kids were young and now, she's the owner of the Jennifer Colley Team at Keller Williams. This team of amazing ladies, who are consistently in the ten teams at Keller Williams, pour into each other and their clients all while having a fun time doing it. Listen in as she shares her first experiences as a realtor and how she has grown to where she is today. 

Understanding how credit works can be very challenging. Meet Cassandra Rosas, she is "your favorite credit girl". She is making waves and is passionate about helping people in the process. Whether you need a little bit or a lot of help, she is quickly becoming the credit guru, all while doing it with grace and compassion in a judgment free space. 

Meet Sherri Dement...she wears many hats and puts her heart and soul into every one of them! She is a wife to Randal, a mom to Calvin and Max, and a wonderful friend to many. She has been in real estate since 2017 and comes from a background in education. She was also the dorm mom at Katie Rogers Hall at Lubbock Christian University, her second favorite job next to real estate. Listen as we talk about what it was like to get started in real estate, how the landscape has changed, and the joy she finds in helping others find a house and make it a HOME of their own. 

Meet Mat Lewczenko...He is a realtor and coach in Kansas City, Missouri. He leads the Game Changers Team with Exp Realty, and is the founder of Leveraged Agent coaching. Listen to his inspiring story about how he got into real estate and the journey he has been on that has led him to where he is today. Mat has seen it all and been a part of it all from selling to leadership and there is so much to learn about every part of his story.  

Meet Rachel Smith... Rachel is a realtor with Reside Real Estate and she's about to celebrate her 2nd anniversary in real estate. In two short years she has accomplished so much and is now leading a team, The Lubbock Lady Real Estate Group. She shares her story about how she has grown as a woman in both the personal and professional realm and the challenges she's had in growing so quickly and what she is doing now to have good boundaries. Listen to her story about how she got started in the business, what keeps her there and the vision for herself and her team. 

Meet Han Li... Han got her license in 2020 and joined Keller Williams during one of the craziest times in the real estate industry. Starting from scratch without a database was a challenge, but she got creative, put in the work, and ended up being Rookie of the Year for her first full year as a realtor. Her hard work didn't come easy as she met many challenges, both personally and professionally, but rose to the occasion every time. Her story is so inspiring for anyone thinking of getting into the business. Han started a team this year and is now leading a group of women by example with her extraordinary example and spirit! 

Meet Christy Jolly...she is a seasoned realtor with Exit Realty, and she is about to start her 10th year in the business after spending time in the medical field. She is a lifelong learner who has built a successful business on repeat clients and referrals.  Christy is truly a professional in all ways and continues to be one of the top realtors in Lubbock.

Meet Cole Whisenhunt! He's been in real estate since 2014. He is the owner and team leader of the Whisenhunt Group at Keller Williams Realty. He has so much wisdom and knowledge to share about how he got started and how his team has grown to what it is today. There's so much to learn from him about real estate and life in general. 

Meet Kristi Lowe! She has been a realtor for over 15 years and so she's seen it all! From 2008 when the industry took a massive shift to now, she's got a lot of knowledge and wisdom to share about the real estate market. She's a dear friend to me and I'm so glad that my experiences in real estate allowed our paths to cross. Not only is she a realtor extraordinaire she's also a highly successful podcaster, that is influencing the lives of so many others with her "Even if" Podcast. I'm so honored to get to sit down with her and share more of her story.
