    Kavinsky - NightCall (MMMathias Remix)

who’s bo$$ing the show? Right dude, Kav does! Nightcall is the first release by the zombie of all zombies since 2007. And it’s another premiere as well – it’s his first track that includes a fitting vocal line. Produced by bla bla bla and mixed by bla bla bla … nobody really cares. All you have to care about is the remix by MMMatthias which’s fresh from the oven and as hot as hell. Don’t try to send us your remix-version of Kav’s track – you definitely can’t bbbeat this one!

Gorillaz - Stylo ( CHIDDY BANG Remix )

When I first heard Stylo, I wasn’t keen at all but it’s Mos Definitely (ha) grown on me since and I’m more than ready for the album in early March. Until we reach that point, Philly based Chiddy Bang have laid down their reworking and injected some more bars into it which is what many people have thought was missing from the original. It’s a shame Mos Def’s presence is tertiary after Damon and Womack but it’s still a very solid song

Exclusive !! Lupe Fiasco - Enemy Of The State : Love Story

Lupe Fiasco, skater boy champion of Chicago hip hop, released a 22 minute long mixtape recently titled ‘Enemy of the State: A Love Story’. On it, Lupe pulls some ol’ Ice Cube shit jackin’-for-beats move. But the new twist is that the contemporary MC, Lupe sources beats from the likes of Radiohead, instead of sticking to the traditional hip hop, funk and soul selections. Now, Radiohead might be The Beatles of Generation Y. That said, is Lupe, as they say, pissing on the Mona Lisa? Perhaps, but in that debate, I still call it art. Go on. Go on. Marinate on that while waiting for Lupe Fiasco’s next LP, ‘LOSERS’, or ‘LASERS’, as it takes a double meaning with an anarchy symbol in the second character (a symbol created by another great artist, Vivienne Westwood with assistance from pioneering hip hop musician (World Famous Supreme Team), Sex Pistol’s manager, and Vivienne’s 70s-era boyfriend, Malcolm McLaren. The more you know, yo.)

Audio Bullys - Kiss The Sky

London’s Audio Bullys never fail! This tune is massive in the playlist. I love the Bullys because they always have A-game production and good, catchy, songwriting with signature delivery. They can do it all! The new heat is ‘Kiss The Sky’, a big room electro house stomper—and def. a mad reapeater since the Audio Bullys began giving it away free for a limited time on their site, Audiobullys.com, beginning November 30th, to drum up some hype for their third studio release, dropped on Cooking Vinyl. Only 192kbps out there so far, but still, hot damn. Punk’s not dead; Electro neither.

Kid Cudi - Symphonies ( Dada Life Remix

We haven’t posted any pounding electro in awhile so I thought I’d update this space with a couple songs that we have been enjoying when we go out. First up is a giant Dada Life remix of Dan Black’s hugely popular “Symphonies” featuring Kid Cudi. These Swedes are always able to perfectly balance dangerously-close-to-being-cheesy-trance-sounds with turn-this-up-to-11-mind-bending-relentless-electro. I can’t wait to play this out somewhere.

Kid Cudi Ft Snoop Dogg - That Tree ( Diplo Prod )

Diplo sure is bringing the heat, last week we posted the track he produced with Robyn called “No Hassle” bringing the dancehall vibe, now he’s collab’d with Snoop Dogg & Kid CuDi on the track “That Tree”. It’s a laidback jam but definately has the characteristics of a Diplo production, and will appear on Snoops album “More Malice” out on the 23rd of next month!!

    Chiddy Bang - Kids

Also this week - Chiddy Bang released their new video for the track “Opposite of Adults” which samples MGMT’s “Kids” and is also a very cute video! Reminds me of the ElfYourself videos!

    Yeasayer - O.N.E ( Xxxchange Remix)

I sat on this remix all weekend thinking about whether or not I should proclaim my undying love for it, and after much consideration decided: Yes, yes I should. Yeasayer's "O.N.E." has definitely garnered the most attention from their new album Odd Blood which comes out tomorrow. XXXChange took this track and made it so incredibly fun, it will have the "hipster" set fist pumping harder than a "guido" at a Jersey Shore appearance. It's like selling cheezdoodles in the fine cheese section at whole foods. Yeasayer has established a well deserved reputation for their politically conscious dance music, and this is a delicious way to lighten things up.

Drop The Lime edited by NROTB

Akira Kiteshi, from Scotland, combines dub electronica with 80’s b-horror nostalgia which makes it perfect. I’ve never been into the whole dub scene, maybe ’cause of a lack of exposure to it. Hence, this is really fresh and dancy. It’s cut-up and have that massive synth-line that just makes me melt. And he has a epic Japanese name, so I can shout it: AKIRA KITESHI!!! (With a Japanese warrior twist to it) Wait for the jump after the sampled intro, whoo man. nd NROTB once again bring some mysterious remixes, detailed to the core and pumping like a Rio De Janeiro carnival.

Mustard Pimp and The Prince of Bel Air

What was that? Mustard Pimp’s done a remix of Fresh Prince of Bel Air… OH NO THEY DI’INT! OH YES THEY DID! I’d love to see Carlton getting his groove on to this…

New Kanye West - Heartless ( Rick Ross Remix )

Kruger Rec posted Kanye West’s 808s & Heartbreak at #1 this week selling (a tiny) 450,000 copies in its first of release. Even though this is Kanye’s third straight to number-one album, this has been Kanye’s lowest first-week sales count since The College Dropout hit stores, and naturally, debut albums don’t usually make a big splash on the first week. You’d think that the whole Black Friday, Thanksgiving weekend thing would help boost Kanye’s sales. Black Friday or not, take a look at Kanye’s track record: Late Registration bowed at No. 1 with 860,000 discs sold, and last year’s Graduation took the big spot with nearly a million (957,000) discs sold in its first week. 808s opening at 450k is simply absurd. Well to be fair, Kanye hasn’t had a bona fide big hit with 808s yet. When Late Registration dropped, he had “Gold Digger” to back it up. When Graduation released he had “Stronger” and not to mention the whole Kanye vs 50 beef. While 808s has the fleeting first two singles “Love Lockdown” and “Heartless.” Speaking of “Heartless,” check out Kanye sharing the mic with Rick Ross on his hopeful hit.

    Womanizer - The Teenagers

We've got an exlusive remix from the Teenagers wich is one of the infamous Britney Spears The Teenagers remixed Britney Spears’ “Womanizer” a few weeks ago and it quickly became my favorite of the bunch. Last night Nick emailed me with this new beat. Nick gives “Womanizer a 80’s rock feel that’s wicked cool. The generally focus on Top 40, but that’s good enough for me. I might do a little Nick feature soon…
