Johnny Berrypicker
John Post -- known locally as "Johnny Berrypicker" -- has been a colorful presence around Arcata and the rest of Humboldt County for several years. But a story in last week's Arcata Eye put the lie to man's self-created legend, detailing Berrypicker's history as a convicted felon (bank robbery), his past involvement with white power groups, and of the many local people who have found themselves the victim of his cons.
