Limit Break Radio makes it's triumphant, and final, return to Las Vegas to cover the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest at the Rio. You'll hear our reactions to Shadowbringers, the announcements of Blue Mage and New Game+ and much more. Plus, Limit Break Radio were joined by some of the titans of the FFXIV creative community at the Fan Fest After Party at the Hyperx Esports Arena at the Luxor in Las Vegas to share their thoughts on the new expansion.

The crew take various calls from listeners as the last time anyone will be able to call into the show. They also finish Juxtas “name that tune” and Juxtober one of their earliest episodes.

Being down Kallo this week the crew had to do some heavy lifting since Yoshi P dropped a whale on us. Also one last Juxtober submission from Mog News a time capsule that has the Crew reminiscing of simpler times.

Most of the crew are excited about what Ashes of Creation may bring to the MMO genre, but one thing is clear. Not all Podcasts are as exciting as the games they inform on. From the Ashes is the latest tribute for Juxtober. Plus, one of the saddest stories out of Kotaku and FFXIV since Daddy of Light.

A year ago Yoshida was quoted as saying that it’s unlikely that FFXIV would go free-to-play, but that should the player base want it, it could be an option. A translated interview now has him saying ‘absolutely not’ to the very notion, despite his explanation and his game design pointing to the very concepts most free-to-play games are built upon. Aniero, Kallo and Juxta break it all down and get quite a few calls on the discussion as well.

After talking about a bit of news, including an interview at Gamescom with Yoshi, Koji and Soken the group return to Juxtober! This time around long time fan of the show Volkai submits an entry on behalf of the Hearthstone Community entitled, the Daring Reporter.

There have been a lot of moving parts behind the scenes for Limit Break Radio. This week, those plans are finally revealed. There’s a lot of feels going around, a lot of calls from voices new and old. Plus, Yoshi P makes new waves among the community with some quotes from a Games Radar article.

The crew is missing one Aniero today, but they still dig deep into some comments from Yoshi P about the future of Eureka. Plus, they take a deep dive into the major additions to the game from patch notes over the past three expansions to get an idea of how much the content is actually shrinking…if at all.

With Patch 4.4 on the horizon, the patch notes have been released. The length of the notes are staggering, but yet the content is all expected and seems so light. The crew take several callers voicing concerns of burn out on the game as well as whether or not 5.0 will bring a much needed change.

As the world of FFXIV is ripe with talk of rumors and leaks, the trailer for Patch 4.4 brings with it some answers and questions of its own. With some leaks validity now being proven, what does this mean for the future of FFXIV as Fan Fest looms? We have all the answers.
