LLC Episode 46: Saros, Diablo IV, Bus Bound

It's another big game week with Mick her to talk about PlayStation and Housemarque's next big exclusive: Saros. He gave it a whopping 10/10 in his review on Loot Level Chill, and is here to talk about the story (no spoilers, don't worry), as well as the difficulty (it's hard, but don't worry there are modifiers), and the visuals (it's amazing looking, don't worry!).But he's also been playing the latest expansion for Diablo IV, Lord of Hatred, which sees the game get another big overhaul, while finishing the story for the game.Kieran has been playing a simulator called Bus Bound, which he's rather enamoured with. You can read more about the game on the website, but there's also an interview we reckon you should take a peruse of.Saros review: https://lootlevelchill.com/reviews/saros-review/Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred review: https://lootlevelchill.com/reviews/diablo-4-lord-of-hatred-review/Bus Bound interview: https://lootlevelchill.com/features/bus-bound-interview-locations-licensing-and-little-details/Buy us a Coffee: https://ko-fi.com/U7U81H2M26Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

LLC Episode 45: Vampire Crawlers, Tides of Tomorrow, Tomodachi Life

It's a hefty chat of weird this week, as Lyle tells the gang all about Vampire Crawlers, which yes: that's the follow up to Vampire Survivors. Kieran joins the weird with an asymmetric multiplayer experience in the form of Tides of Tomorrow. The chat begs the question, would following a player called "McSmellington" ruin your single player story-driven experience? Then there's Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. Enough said, yeah? Mick even manages to get a cheeky Saros preview in before the bigger chat about it next week. Hurrah, get listening!Buy us a Coffee: https://ko-fi.com/U7U81H2M26Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, Rue Valley, Lumines Arise

Kieran makes his full podcast debut (you can hear him earlier on an exclusive Patreon only podcast) to talk about Rue Valley, a game inspired by Disco Elysium, and it has Lyle, Steve, and Adam all intrigued.Speaking of intrigue, what is the deal with Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. Is it cannon? It is, right? Lyle is playing this meaty experience. And speaking of meaty, the hunky Steve(n) has lost his mind playing Lumines Arise, so let's chat about that, too.Note: we'll be starting game of the year recordings soon, so we'll do our best to keep up with regular podcasts, but as you know, these GOTY recordings take a lot of time, so we can't promise! Thanks for baring with us, in what has been a tricky end of 2025.PS: Quick note on the podcast schedule. Some changes to our lives have meant that we may have to adjust when the episodes appear. Ball x Pit, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Wreckreation

On this episode of Loot Level Chat, it's time to talk about Ball x Pit, and hey, what's in a name? We find out as Lyle, Steve, and Adam discuss what that "x" means, and why. Oh, and they talk about the game itself, of course, too.Steve has been living his best Burnout-life as he investigates Wreckreation, and explains to Adam and Lyle what it's all about. Meanwhile both Lyle and Adam have finished Pokemon Legends: Z-A and are rather enamoured with the game, hoping the future for Pokemon fans is finally bright again.PS: Quick note on the podcast schedule. 24. 28

Super Mario Galaxy 1+2, Hades II, CloverPit

It's a two person podcast this episode, with Adam and Lyle here to bring some seriously positive vibes. Both of the duo have been playing Super Mario Galaxy 1+2, and despite the first game in the collection having been previously available on Switch, it actually has some new changes that are really interesting. Super Mario Galaxy 2, of course, is a first-time thing for Nintendo Switch: was it worth the wait?Meanwhile, the word "perfect" is used when describing Hades II. It's not a word we like to use too often when referring to a game, but Hades II really does seem like it's that special. Lastly, we have a quick check in on the newest "Balatro-like", CloverPit, and check in with how Lyle and Adam feel about the Mina the Hollower delay, before trying to work out if another member of the team is playing a long game to troll Lyle.PS: Quick note on the podcast schedule. Some changes to our lives have meant that we may have to adjust when the episodes appear. 25. 27

Ghost of Yotei, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, Dying Light: The Beast

Ghost of Yotei is a game you might of heard of? Well, Mick has been playing it and on this episode of the podcast has plenty to say about it.Does it feel like a bit step up from the hugely popular Ghost of Tsushima? Do we get to ride the wolf like a horse? These questions will be answered, because of course they will.Lyle has been playing Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, though, and spoilers, but he kinda prefers it to Mario Kart World. It's hard not to compare the two, really, but CrossWorlds has a few things MKW is missing, and it makes it somehow better.Lastly, Adam and Mick have been back into the world of zombies, with Dying Light: The Beast, which by all accounts is a thoroughly good time. Who knew?On LLC DLC this coming week, you can hear us talking about Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, Deus Ex, and Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac, so consider our Patreon for that exclusive bonus episode. Not only that, but you'll get the regular podcast (this one!) early!Buy us a Coffee: https://ko-fi.com/U7U81H2M26Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  26. 26

Borderlands 4, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Kirby and the Forgotten Lands

Borderlands 4 is here, and so is Mick to explain to Adam, Steve, and Lyle how great it is on this week's episode of the Loot Level Chill podcast.Adam is a huge fan and can't wait to get stuck in to Borderlands 4, but Mick has played it for his review and the podcast is largely about that for a good chunk. How's the story; the mechanics; the performance? And also, why was review access PC only? For those of you sick of hearing about Hollow Knight: Silksong, well, we're sorry, but this week's podcast contains a bit more chat about it. In many ways given the lack of access pre-release, this is like a review in progress, over a lengthy period of time. Adam thinks it's mean, but Steve is still keen. Where will we end up, you'll have to tune in every week for the rest of time, as it seems a chunky game.Lyle has games, too, as he's played and finished (to give it the full title) Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World. It's a lovely, gorgeous experience, so the gang wax lyrical about it, and hope more people play it this time. Also, a cheeky little bonus as Adam has played Star Wars: Outlaws on Switch 2. Was the pre-release noise right or wrong? Spoiler: it was wrong, it plays really well.Buy us a Coffee: https://ko-fi.com/U7U81H2M26Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  27. 25

Hell is Us, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Lost Soul Aside

This week we have a very, very special guest joining us to make the first 4-person pod in a while. We'll let you listen to find out exactly who it is, but he, along with Mick and Adam, has been playing Hell is Us. We know we talked about the game in a preview/demo sense a few weeks ago, but a few of the gang have finished it now and are enamoured with how special it is when it comes to a few ideas. There's NO SPOILERS here, but it's a very hefty chat about the game. That said, our guest and Adam have also played Lost Soul Aside and are... sadly not hugely impressed. So there's a chat about that, and... Silksong when? Now. It's now! It's actually out now, and that means we can have an early chat about the opening hours of it. What a world we live in.Buy us a Coffee: https://ko-fi.com/U7U81H2M26Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  28. 24

    Shinobi, Skate, The Knightling

For some reason, this episode of the podcast ends up in tangent city, but we do try to talk about video games too.Starting with a lengthy chat about Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, Adam and Lyle are in love with this one, from the art style to the cool combat, it's an actually brilliant comeback for the series. Then things go a bit peculiar, and while we start to talk about lovely 2D action platform game The Knightling, somehow we get side-tracked and end up talking about Mr Blobby. Why not, I guess?Lastly on this episode, Steve has been playing a preview version of skate. which causes the team to get annoyed at stylised game names. But eventually the chat is all about gameplay, and again, Steve is loving this one.Buy us a Coffee: https://ko-fi.com/U7U81H2M26Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  29. 23

Battlefield 6, Drag x Drive, Hell is Us

Steve is back, but Adam and Lyle are also here to talk games with him for this new episode of the podcast. As you might expect, a healthy amount of Battlefield 6 is talked about, with Steve having rushed excitedly back from holiday to play it, even squadding up with Adam to not revive one another. How are the maps? How's the gunplay? What about the classes? Let's find out in this deep(ish) dive.Drag x Drive is out now, but Lyle and Adam have been playing that, and have lots of thoughts about accessibility, the mouse controls, price point, and what the future might hold for the game. There's a theme, too, this week, as Hell is Us has a demo, and the gang thing you should try that asap.Question of the week is about game prices, to that'll be fun.Buy us a Coffee: https://ko-fi.com/U7U81H2M26Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Dead Take, Dying Light 2

Mick, Chris, and Adam are back and they've got chat!Mick has been playing Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, while Chris and Adam have tried a little bit of it too. Is it the next great Soulslike? Find out.Chris however, has been playing Dead Take and has everyone intrigued. Adam... has been playing Dying Light 2: Stay Human, because why not?Listener question of the week is about under-rated games, so why not send yours, and be read out on the next episode!Buy us a Coffee: https://ko-fi.com/U7U81H2M26Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  31. 21

Fretless, No Sleep for Kaname Date, Shadow Labyrinth

On this episode of the podcast it's just Adam and Lyle to chat about their RPGs, strange Japanese games, and Metroidvanias. What that means in real terms, then, is that the chat starts about Fretless: The Wrath of Riffson, where we get two very different perspectives. Lyle isn't into music or music YouTubers, but Adam knows a fair bit about both. Moving on, Lyle recently reviewed the third game in the Somnium Files series: No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES, and Adam has also had a bit of a play of that, so it's time for two more wildly different perspectives. Oh and in case you're wondering: here is the interview mentioned.Lastly, Lyle has played a lengthy Metroidvania in Shadow Labyrinth, which is based on Pac-Man, but... well it gets weird, so maybe just have a listen. This weeks' listener question is about getting old, and noticing it: what are the telltale signs?Buy us a Coffee: https://ko-fi.com/U7U81H2M26Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  32. 20

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, Donkey Kong Bananza, Eriksholm

On this episode of the podcast, the team start by reminiscing about the old days thanks to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4.What's new, what's old, and yes... what's missing? How does the soundtrack being so different affect things? And what if Steve actually started playing the wrong version of the game at first. Find out on this very podcast.Mick had previously previewed Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream, but now he's finished it and reviewed it, and is still rather in love with it. Adam, however, is smashing the world to pieces thanks to Donkey Kong Bananza, and he's very, very happy with it.Question of the Week is about "dad shoes", and a specific brand. Do you own them?Buy us a Coffee: https://ko-fi.com/U7U81H2M26Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  33. 19

Hidden Gems of 2025 (So Far)

It's a quiet week, for a change, so on the podcast this episode it's time to shine a light on some hidden gems (so far) we've played in 2025.We're not talking exclusively about indies, though most are smaller games, as we also want to remind people Capcom's Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess just came out on Switch 2 this year. But there's plenty of games to chat about, with the likes of Into the Restless Ruins one we want to sing the praises of.Of course, Xbox is in the news, with lots of job losses, so a brief chat about that takes place. Listener Question of the Week is about what games July has to offer, and surely... surely, Chris doesn't pick Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game as his main game, right?Buy us a Coffee: https://ko-fi.com/U7U81H2M26Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  34. 18

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

As you can imagine, on this episode of the podcast all anyone can talk about is Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. We've assembled our reviewer (Chris White) along with Adam and Steve who have played the game, and Lyle who, curiously, has not. The gang have complicated relationships with both Kojima and the Strand-genre itself, but it seems so far everyone is pretty enamoured with Death Stranding 2.All except Lyle, that is, who again, hasn't played it and is pretty confused as to what the hell is going on in this game.If you're not a Strand-game fan, apologies, but we had to dedicate an episode to this one, and the listener question of the week is worth sticking around for as it's all about confectionary and snacks that are lost to time. What would we bring back?Buy us a Coffee: https://ko-fi.com/U7U81H2M26Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  35. 17

FBC: Firebreak, Rematch, Mina the Hollower

On this week’s episode of the podcast, the gang has all suddenly gotten heavily into multiplayer gaming, and it’s all on Game Pass.Rematch is out, and Adam and Steve have been playing it during the early access release period. It’s captured them both in a big way, but both are rather worried about the way the updates and patches are being handled. FBC: Firebreak is also out, and like Rematch, does something quite different. It’s the Remedy Universe, and Control-specifically, but the entire team has been playing it, with Mick on review duties. Can this new fps co-op shooter handle expectations that come from being set in the same place as Control?Mina the Hollower is the newest game from the Shovel Knight team, Yacht Club Games, and the demo has Steve excited to play it.Don’t forget there’s a bonus pod weekly on our Patreon which, this week, has a new quiz called “Mickteasers” that tests our riddle solving minds. There’s interviews and quizzes coming up in the coming weeks, so now is an ideal time to click the Patreon link and start supporting.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  36. 16

    The Alters, Date Everything, Mindseye

We're back again for another podcast, this time to chat about the Mindseye debacle, but also some games we've actually played. The Alters has captured Mick and Adam completely, with its mix of genres that adds a story you can't look away from. Elsewhere, Date Everything is a superb, fun, and witty experience. Lost in Random: The Eternal Die turned out well too, with "exemplary" gameplay, though like a few games at the moment, the team are worried about timing.Question of the week is all about the rest of the year, and we try to pick some left-field picks for our most wanted 2025 games. Don’t forget there’s a bonus pod weekly on our Patreon which, this week, has all the rest of the listener questions as we only do one per main episode. Summer Games Fest, The Nintendo Switch 2

We're a little later than usual to record a podcast for this episode as the world of gaming has been busy, thanks to a new console launch and a huge Summer event.Rather than have a rundown of every "showcase" and conference we've seen, the team has decided to hand-pick some of its favourite reveals and trailers, and talk about them. Of course we'll mention the Xbox and Sony shows, as well as the main Summer Games Fest event.Elsewhere, though, the same week all this news and these announcements was happening, Nintendo decided to launch a new console. With no access aside some previews before launch, everyone is in the same boat discovering the Switch 2 at the same time, really. How are we finding the console and its features? Are there any stand-out games, or hidden gems yet? What do we want from future updates, so far?Question of the Week is about hardware launches, and memories of the best and worst ones. Don’t forget there’s a bonus pod weekly on our Patreon which, this week, has all the rest of the listener questions as we only do one per main episode. There’s interviews and quizzes coming up in the coming weeks, so now is an ideal time to click the Patreon link and start supporting. Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

Elden Ring Nightreign, Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo, Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream

On Loot Level Chat Podcast Episode 14 it's time to discuss a biggie in the form of Elden Ring Nightreign, but also to shine a line on two smaller games. Both Lyle and Adam have been eagerly awaiting Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo, having played preview builds and demos over the years. In fact, Lyle has spoken to the developer as well. But now they've both finished the game, and Lyle adored it. Did having to guide some of the collectibles destroy Adam's love for it? Nah, of course not.Elsewhere, if you have heard of Pipistrello (because of us, probably), there's a high chance you may not be familiar with Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream. First up, read Mick's preview, but then watch the trailer so you can see how gorgeous it looks. Mick is enamoured with this one, and we can see why.  Question of the Week is about buzzwords and which ones make you excited for a game, or conversely, which put you right off. Will the gang agree? No, not a chance. Don't forget there's a bonus pod weekly on our Patreon which, this week, has all the rest of the listener questions as we only do one per main episode. There's interviews and quizzes coming up in the coming weeks, so now is an ideal time to click the Patreon link and start supporting. Don't believe us? Last week's podcast was previously Patreon-exclusive, so check that out and we reckon you'll enjoy it. Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

    The Metaquiz

The pod gang are having a week off this week, so instead of talking about new titles, news, or even looking ahead, this is sort of "one from the archives". Originally it was released as an exclusive for Patreon backers, we thought since it was so much fun, we'd release it for everyone, if nothing else than to show what people are missing. We're an independent site, so we strive to produce exclusive content weekly for our Patreon supporters. We do a listener questions pod, and also game show/quiz fun-things like this episode. We'll be doing more of these kinds of episode behind our Patreon supporters programme, and if you enjoy it, why not think about joining for £2/$2 a month. The support keeps us going, keeps us independent, and frankly, keeps the lights on. Enjoy!Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

Most Anticipated of 2025 (Part Two)

Once again the team finds itself fully embargoed up, so it's time for part two of the most anticipated list.Adam, Steve, and Mick are here with a few picks each, ranging from Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, to FBC: Firebreak, Little Nightmares 3, and of course, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers has been mentioned twice now on the LLC Podcast, so no pressure on publisher 505 Games to deliver on that one, then. Same for Nintendo with Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Professor Layton, however, well it's the first time we've mentioned it, or thought about that series for quite some time.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

GTA VI, Doom: The Dark Ages, Revenge of the Savage Planet

You all knew it was coming, right? But on this week’s podcast it’s time to talk about that Grand Theft Auto VI delay, and what that trailer tells us about the game. There’s more, though, because Xbox Game Studios has actually confirmed that not only is Gears of War: Reloaded coming to PC and Xbox consoles, but it’s also going to be on PlayStation 5. What’s left, then, aside Halo to bring over to Sony’s console? We’ve been busy playing games the past few weeks, of course, and that means we can have a good chat about how fun Revenge of the Savage Planet is. Not only that, but Mick, Adam, and Chris have been playing Doom: The Dark Ages, and have thoughts on that one as well.Question of the week involves food, again, because of course it does.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

    Anticipated Games of 2025

It's time for something a bit different on this week's podcast, as we've got no games we can talk about this week, as it's that time of year. So instead, Adam, Steve, Lyle, and Mick discuss eight games they're really looking forward to for the upcoming months (although not all have dates). The obvious might be present like Mario Kart World, but have you heard of Spine? Not the back thing, the game? No? Well you have now, and crikey it looks very good.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  43. 9

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Bionic Bay, The Hundred Line, Oblivion

It's finally time to talk about some of the games we've been playing for the last few weeks on the podcast, and there's a full crew here to do it.Mick and Adam have played through Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and rather love it, but what's this we hear about a way it could have even been a 10/10 scoring game? Lyle meanwhile has been playing what we're feeling is the spiritual successor to the Danganronpa series in The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy. Oh and a platformer that's also published by Kepler Interactive (same publisher as Clair Obscur) has dropped Bionic Bay seemingly out of nowhere. What gives? In the news, oh a little game called The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered just shadow dropped. Yep, that was real, and it happened. Wow, right? Oh and then to counter-act it, or something, Sony just decided "Oh here's the Ghost of Yotei release date". What is going on?Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  44. 8

    Mario Kart World, Marathon, Mandragora

It doesn't rain but it pours Nintendo news, because just before the podcast recording the Mario Kart World Direct aired, so that's a hot topic alright. And speaking of Nintendo Switch 2, Adam recently got to go and preview the console, launch line-up, and some games that are coming a bit later like Donkey Kong Bananza. It's unlikely he didn't enjoy himself, but what of the mouse controls; what of the Mario-less-ness, what of everything?Thankfully Mick is here to talk about Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree, which he's been waiting for, for what seems like a lifetime. He played and played it during the preview phase, so how does the final release build shape up? To bring us back down to the calm serene people we'd usually be, Lyle has reviewed Lushfoil Photography Sim, and for the most part enjoyed it, though it's not without fault.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  45. 7

Blue Prince, Promise Mascot Agency, Date Everything

The Switch 2 news keeps coming, but on this week's podcast we clear up some misinformation. Also, we have a date for Date Everything, and the puns are strong in this one. Lastly in the news segment, breaking news: The Alters has a date!Chris Hyde has been playing Blue Prince and has an awful lot to say about it, going so far as to call it one of the best puzzle games ever made. Lyle is back this week, saved from puppy duty, to talk about Promise Mascot Agency, which you can see Chris' face getting more and more weirded out by.Oh and the question of the week involves food, as if you needed more reason to tune in.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  46. 6

Nintendo Switch 2, South of Midnight

As you can imagine, this week's episode of the podcast is very much about the biggest news in the industry: we know loads about the Nintendo Switch 2 now. From the hardware etc to the price points, pre-orders, and the software prices, everything is covered in this podcast episode. We chat about Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and so much more. There's the small matter of a FromSoftware exclusive title, the upgrades to old Switch games, the cost of peripherals (and how you can use the old ones if you prefer), and a whole lot more. This is an hour of Switch 2 talk, so strap in.But that's not all. We also played through South of Midnight recently and rather liked it. Steve and Adam chat about that one, before hitting up Question of the Week, which comes from Ben, and is food related.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  47. 5

The First Berserker: Khazan, Monster Hunter Wilds, Indiana Jones

In the fifth episode of our Loot Level Chat podcast, we're down to three people, but we've got lots to say still, as there's plenty to play, and loads happening. We lean heavily on the news this week, with Mick and Steve talking Adam through the upcoming title update for Monster Hunter Wilds. There's loads coming, with new monsters, armours, and the meeting/gathering hub arriving imminently. It seems like the formula is repeating, but are the three happy with it?Elsewhere in the news, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has gone gold, meaning it's coming on time, but what do the gang thing of the game so far, given they've not had a chance to play it. Lastly in news, Indiana Jones is coming to PS5, and it seems to have a special collector's edition, which is weird, right?Mostly soulslikes are the games we've been playing, so we focus on The First Berserker: Khazan, which Adam and Mick are pretty much smitten with.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  48. 4

Assassin's Creed Shadows, Atomfall, The Alters

The podcast returns this week, but with less games to discuss since most of us have been heavily exploring one of the big titles that'd just been released. The crew have been exploring Assassin's Creed Shadows, and most of them seem to think it's the best one in ages, though there is one dissenter in the group. Atomfall is out soon, and that's another game that the friends have been roaming around, pixel-hunting in. Various opinions on this one, too, given that some love it, some find bits of it great and other bits less great, but generally most of us seem to agree the accents are superb.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  49. 3

Atelier Yumia, Death Stranding 2, Split Fiction

This week we're talking about that Death Stranding 2 trailer. Of course we are.But there's more: Lyle is here to chat about Atelier Yumia now the review embargo has lifted, while Mick, Steve, and Adam have all been playing Wanderstop and think it's a lovely time. Adam and Chris Hyde have been playing Split Fiction, as has Lyle, and Mick wants to: but can it deliver the fire that the first did, or was it lightning in a bottle?Question of the week comes from Thomas, who wants to know what our favourite fizzy pop is.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/lootlevelchill.bsky.socialTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loot.level.chill

  50. 2

Atomfall, Blades of Fire, Tony Hawk is back

It's been a very busy few weeks, as Adam has been playing lots of upcoming games for the podcast. However, before we get to the first of them, we need to have a chat about Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 being announced, finally. On top of that, Monster Hunter Wilds has been a massive success for Capcom, already, and the Metacritic "Top Publishers" of 2024 has been announced, so that deserves a (Loot Level) chat.In terms of what we've been playing, Adam talks some Atomfall after his hands on with that one, before Lyle explains Everhood 2. On that note, be warned, there is some flashing imagery during that chat. Chris Hyde has been playing the demo for Blue Prince and is impressed. Lastly, Adam tells us about his other preview-game, which is the recently announced Blades of Fire from MercurySteam. Yes, the team that made Metroid Dread.Question of the week is about the Two Point series, and you can send us yours in the comment section below. Note that we answer the rest of the questions in the patreon bonus podcast, so consider backing us for £2.50/$2.50 a month for behind the scenes content, early access to audio and visual podcasts, and extra bonus pods.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lootlevelchill/about?Website: https://lootlevelchill.com/
