Sorry about the episode title, just me trying to be funny when I talk about my kid's play date and caterpillars. It's NFL Draft week so I thought lets talk MDL with football top of mind. There's talk about last season, when our draft will be, how this is the 20th season of the league, and how all this World Cup Draft Order business will work.

Just thought of that Ben-Hur vs. Troy thing, I think it works, never made it on the episode. But we're in Championship week! The 19th season of the Madden-Derrick League comes down to a football mastermind in 10 different leagues vs. a man returning from the shadows after 8 years away from the league, both looking for their first-ever titles. Also we try to address what the hell Jacob did and if it's for real. In conclusion, Greg pay Ben, Jacob pay Tai, and lets get ready for a magical 1:25pm NFL Sunday window

The neglect this season was at another level, and I as the commissioner am sorry. I found a way to get a podcast out for the playoffs and it is genuinely anybody's to win. The regular season was fascinating, Ben returns and wins it, Tai takes the points title, and a last-minute battle for the final playoff spot. Also congrats to Wolf winning the Guillotine League and for our Vampire hypothetical team going 5-10.

No. 1 vs. No. 2 in the title this week. Diving deep into the matchup along with past championship matchups. Also the third-place match is a good one between Jacob and Marty. Also dishing out prize money to some lucky losers, applauding the non-playoff managers, somebody get ahold of Akira, and looking at the UFC Draft process for next season. Happy New Year!

I slacked a bit on my periodic league commish note pod updates, but just in time for Week 12 here talking about the other 11 weeks, Tristen leading the pack, Marty's kind of domination, Matt's Cinderella story, Jeff's monster rise toward the playoff picture, and Akira's team following Tua's concussed footsteps

The season is a day away, and I booked my wife Julie for a 5-minute intro that turned into 43 minutes of fantasy punishments, biscuit recipes, and Pechanga resort and casino. Shoutout year 18!!

Madden-Derrick League XVII finishes with Jeff Ventura the rightful champion, his second title and first since 2012! He takes home the prize money and the trophy, no thanks to Jason Sanders. Eyes ahead to the offseason and some spring and summer pods and events let's make happen. And Cisco and Jacob pay up

This is is - Madden-Derrick Bowl XVII has come down to Jeff Ventura and Tristen: OG vs. the guy he invited, Fantasy Analyst guru vs. the team he helped pick because Jeff wasn’t there. Will Jeff take his second title? Will Tristen with his 1st in year 2? And don’t forget the Bill vs. Tim rivalry for 3rd!

First pod of the season is just in time! Sorry I neglected all of you and the league, but now’s the fun part so I’m here to talk about everything that’s happened, what’s coming up, and even into the future! Yay!!

I’m a little sick and this episode sounds like a jazzy college radio hour. Draft grades are wack, I made my own grades and Oggi’s-fied it. We also go through the money, the next drafts, and the infamous trade. And the fly on the plant is still there. And no there was no earthquake.

It's been a season. My apologies for not pumping out podcasts all year, but Commish is here to recap the Madden-Derrick League XVI regular season and preview the playoffs while also dishing out bonus winnings and breaking down the draft order for upcoming seasons! Every other fantasy league has played their championship game, but not us, we play all 18, boys. Just like on the golf course. We're not even CLOSE to done, its semifinals week! Who's got a bet still alive? Will Tim have a chance to win his second after a decade? Will Tai, Marty, or Jacob get a chance for their first? All will be revealed, and no one's eardrums will be impacted.

Then I go on an expedition to Target for one item and break down our new league leader, Sean breaking through, and the huge rivalry matchups this week. And we end by comparing every manager on their team to a Thanksgiving food

Your first contact with the league's newest member, Cisco. He and Jeff Ventura discuss wing challenge drama, Cisco's rise from the Mexican ghettos, and how everyone deep down is actually a Cowboys fan. Jacob was supposed to join, but he never made picked up so we theorize where he might have been, dive deeper into his front lawn true crime, and bash him and almost everyone else in the league.

9 weeks into the season, time for another Commish Note. A league manager in our midst is fighting a serious problem. It's time to sit down and seek help, Jacob. This is your transaction intervention. This week's Commish Note has some bombshells in it. Everyone's on the move including maybe the President?! We're all over the map. The league's current #1 Carp is on to talk through the league, betting the election, Dodgers fans, and futures bets for the playoffs.

Halfway through the season and we got records breaking, fires starting, championships happening, too many transactions, and Halloween busting. Lotta numbers and decimals and boring stuff in this one, plus a Frankenteam, and which 3 teams in the top 8 right now will not make the playoffs

I've just always liked that word. Week 6 in the books, ahead to week 7. We discuss the movement in the updated standings and a wild finish between our two ladies last week. We also dive into the UFC a little bit in this episode with a big fight coming up this weekend and imagine what would happen in an MMA Tournament between league members.

We made it through COVID crisis week #1 and I think we all deserve a drink. I know its difficult to maybe go to one, so we can look back on our favs from Orange and the surrounding areas. Yes everyone is getting rated as an Orange dive bar, plus so great reviews of each. Cheers!
