    Ladies Day comes to Marbella!

Welcome to the latest episode of the Marbella podcast Marbella with Him & Her presented by PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah). This week has been very much about the last few rehearsals and the first two nights of the play they were both a part of for International Theatre Studio called Ladies Day. Just after recording last week's podcast, they headed to their annual picnic by San Pedro beach with lot of friends from the quiz. As usual it was a fun day eating in the sun, playing boule, and chatting with friends. Hannah had some great interview highlights to share from the week. One was with former pin up and actress Susan George, talking about her charity that she set up in memory of her late husband. Another great interview she did was with The Apprentice winner Karishma Vijay, talking about her journey throughout the process to her first couple of weeks in business with Lord Sugar. Her entrepreneur of the week this week was Hannah McCullum, founder of the brand Chic P. Listen to find out more about that interview and how it tied in with a few other things that day to make it a chickpea day! There was no quiz as it was the dress rehearsal for the play, which went pretty well. Friday morning after Pilates Hannah and her friend Nikki who was over for a few days went to have breakfast at The Cult. Opening night of the play was a huge success with many very positive reviews. Saturday night was also great, and just after putting out this episode of Marbella with Him & Her, they will be heading out for the closing night of the play. They also chat about some recent food experiences and feedback. After their performances on Friday and Saturday they grabbed a late snack on the way home. Friday, they got a pizza from Da Bruno in San Pedro and on Saturday they got Ramen Noodles, also from San Pedro. You can hear that verdicts on the food in the podcast. Friend Jo Hooper also gave a raving review of new tapas restaurant in the town centre Bodeguita de Paris. Some interesting articles from the Euro Weekly News this week include one about drivers being asked to check routes of travel after the DGT has introduced new road restrictions across major roads and motorways. There is a new DGT interactive map showing any hold ups and the restrictions. They also talk about the article which highlights the new Sala Group joint venture with Olymp Cars called Sala Supercar Club. Hannah has been asked to host the launch event so listen next week for all the news and gossip. They also chat about The Pool event on 22 May which will look at sleep and how important it is for wellbeing and health. Finally, they give news of the most expensive cities in Spain to live and bring up children. This is worth listening to just to hear Hannah try and say Bandajoz!!

Korean Hot Pot in Marbella and Charity Hike in the rain!

Welcome to another fun packed podcast from Marbella called Marbella with Him & Her, presented by expat couple PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radionhannah). As usual the episode is packed with local information about Marbella, as well as the busy lives of radio presenter Hannah and marketing specialist PJ. In this week's episode, Hannah starts with some incredible interviews she did during the week on her radio show on Talk Radio Europe. She has a weekly segment called Entrepreneur of the Week, where she has interviewed some exciting guests. This week was no exception as she chatted to one of the founders of Dr PawPaw, Pauline Patterson about the founding of the company and their journey to success. She also had a chat with an amazing photographer Brian Aris who has photographed some of the world's most famous people. Talking of entrepreneurs Hannah also interviewed Daniel Priestley who had some very inspiring information on how to create a successful business and get investment. PJ and Hannah discussed the issues their elderly friends have been having with the BOLT taxi service in Marbella. They also have a recommendation of another app that links to the main taxi official services. On Friday, Hannah took PJ for brunch as it was labour day in Spain meaning he had the day off. They went to Amber Chou now that it has re-opened. Later on Friday Hannah went for some reflexology with her good friend Audrey. Listen to see how that went. Saturday was a very busy day for PJ and Hannah starting off with an early morning hike in the hills above Puerto Banus in aid of Collective Calling, a charity that does a lot of important work locally. PJ's colleagues joined too as Manifesto (the company PJ does work for) had teamed up with Collective Calling in a sponsorship role. After the walk they went shopping for both the crazy week ahead that will be filled with rehearsals for the play they are in called Ladies Day, and the annual San Pedro picnic with friends. After that they headed home, dropped off the shopping and went out again to call in and wish a friend happy birthday at Andy's Beach Bar in Cabopino. Then it was back home, a brief rest and out to a restaurant in Marbella town centre who had invited them through the popular San Pedro Guide to try their food. It was called Ensue Marbella and is a Korean Hot Pot and BBQ restaurant. Listen to hear about the amazing food and experience! Sunday was all about the preparation for the picnic which they will cover in next week’s podcast. Make sure you listen to hear about the different dishes PJ made for the picnic and how they turned out. Some articles from their collaborators The Euro Weekly News include information about the new EU rules and owning pets in Spain, which is definitely worth a listen if you have or are planning on getting a pet in Spain. Awaiting summer in Marbella, and things get controversial!

Welcome to the newest episode of Marbella with Him & Her presented by PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah). This is a weekly podcast about Marbella and the lives of the two presenters who are a married British expat couple living in the beautiful San Pedro de Alcantara area of Marbella on the Costa del Sol. This week they chat about the I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here South Africa final that they watched on Friday night. It ended up in total chaos as Jimmy Bullard went for presenters Ant and Dec and the editing of the row he had with eventual winner Adan Thomas during one of the trials. Hannah chats about some of her radio show interview highlights which included an interview with Dr Sian Williams, who after a successful career as a BBC breakfast tv presenter went on to study psychology. She also chatted to Wendy Holden who was asked by Audrey Hepburn's son to write a posthumous biography of his mother. It's called Intimate Audrey. Hannah hosted two quizzes during the week. The usual Thursday night at The Hogan Stand (@thehoganstand) and her monthly one at Urban Chai. She also did two Pilates classes during the week at Studio 34 in San Pedro and tells us about her progress. PJ chats about his team building lunch with Manifesto in the mountains above Estepona and the fog which reduced driving visibility to just a few metres. They ate at a very authentic Spanish restaurant called Los Reales y Mirador. Unfortunately, there were no views, as the fog was so bad. Articles from collaborators The Euro Weekly News this week include the fact that Miguel de Cervantes is set to be the new face on the €50 note. The also chat about the €200 fines for drivers that put shopping and other items on the seat behind them instead of securely on the floor or the boot of the car. Restaurant closures in Marbella, and shopping spree in Malaga

It is episode 110 of the weekly Marbella lifestyle podcast presented by expat husband and wife PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah). If you are new to Marbella with Him & Her, PJ is a marketing consultant in Marbella and Hannah is a radio presenter on Talk Radio Europe, as well as being a weekly contributor on TV on the show Good Morning Spain. She also chatted to the inspirational Franck Benhamou about his upcoming walk around France where he aims to sample the food and drink of each location he stops. A very apt interview she did was with last year’s Apprentice winner Dean Franklin who has just been to Marbella on holiday with his family. She chatted to him about the Apprentice, his air conditioning business and this year’s finalists (the day before the winner was crowned)  They talk about the International Theatre Studio play reading they went to during the week which was based on a popular British sitcom set during World War 2. Hannah opens up about it being 4 years since her mum passed away and discusses how she felt and the struggles with grief and what form it takes over the years. The 4 year anniversary of her passing was on a Friday, so she met with her father as normal, but this time at Kalima on San Pedro beach front. PJ mentions some of the restaurants that have closed down, one of which was a favourite of theirs, Benisty. He also speaks about the Taco place closing which was of no surprise as they had never promoted themselves or did any social media. On Friday PJ met up with his work friends Ysa and Joshua for drinks at Soul by Breathe at the NAC Padel Club in San Pedro where they enjoyed some amazingly crispy sweet potato fries and chicken fingers. They then moved on to the beach for a drink at Alabadero, PJ and Hannah's wedding venue which looks nothing like it did when they got married. Hannah joined them after she had been for a catch up with good friend Audrey. They started at The Hogan Stand for Happy Hour (which happens every Friday between 5pm and 7pm). They then went to Boulebar which is just on the corner before the pedestrian area. At the weekends it is heaving with local Spanish as they have live music. They then headed to Bar Guerra for tapas before finishing in La Kasita Bar and Tapas. Saturday, they headed to Malaga to McAurthur Glen the designer outlet which is part of Plaza Mayor. Hannah managed to have some successful purchases as did PJ. Listen to hear what they bought and why. After they went to IKEA to get a few items. Marbella Youth Entrepreneurs & DJ Hugel

Welcome to this week's episode of Marbella with Him & Her, your weekly Marbella podcast presented by PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah). Hannah's father and Sheila went over for Easter lunch, and PJ attempted to make some corn ribs. Find out what Hannah thought about his attempt. They are already addicted to the Celebrity Jungle in South Africa, and their cat Poppy seems quite taken by it as well. But they are not sure whether it is Ant and Dec or David Haye naked in the shower that is keeping her attention. PJ shared some information on the San Pedro Guide (@sanpedromarbellaguide) about a festival coming in up in May at the San Pedro feria ground called the REVE festival with French DJ Hugel. There seems to be quite a lot of interest because within just a few days the post had 70,000 views. Some interview highlights from Hannah this week, included one with a lady called Gill Whitty Collins talking about her book How To Win At Work. It was about how few women there are at the top of many big companies, which led onto a good discussion between Hannah and PJ. She also chatted with Helen Thorn from a popular podcast called Scummy Mummies about her book, How To Face Big Change And Come Back Stronger. Another interview highlight from the week was with Dallas Campbell who is a science and space tv presenter who covered the recent Artemis II space mission. Hannah's exercise quest continued with two Pilates classes at Studio 34 this week. She went to an additional full body class on Friday, which she said was definitely one of the hardest she had ever done. Will she go back? Listen for her thoughts. Her Friday brunch was not at Amber Chou it was next door at Kookento, which was delicious. They have news about why Amber Chou is closed at the moment. Both PJ and Hannah joined the Friday Frolics group for a lovely meal at Bombay Grill Indian restaurant in San Pedro to celebrate their friend Paul Wharmby's birthday. They also discuss Hannah's hormones and a very strange experience she had on Thursday night and then a different experience on Friday after Pilates. They have news about what is happening at the former Sisu Hotel complex between San Pedro and Puerto Banus. Saturday, they went to watch The Marbella Youth Entrepreneur Cup at the Pool in Marbella hosted by The Pool of Talents (@thepooloftalents). It was a Dragon's Den style format where young school aged entrepreneurs had three minutes to present their business or business idea to a panel of three judges / investors. The winner received €3,000 seed money for their project. Listen to see who won. They went for a stroll on Sunday morning before recording this latest episode of Marbella with Him & Her. They noticed that there is a new information centre pod on the paseo and more sets of toilets. They also noticed that Tantra Indian Restaurant is now just Exotica, an extension of the main Exotica eatery. This week's news articles from collaborators The Euro Weekly News included the upcoming air traffic control strike which will be affecting certain airports throughout Spain, a new rule that about texting while crossing a road which could result in an €80 fine and the temperature jump expected in the next few days in Spain. PJ also includes something he saw online that says overtaking in a tunnel could result in a €500 fine. They speak at length about their trip to the UK for PJ's stepfather’s 80th birthday and the different food they had while there. Hannah tries to explain her early morning glass of Cava away likening it to comedian and podcaster Joanne McNally and her 'Space Gin' which is drinking in mid-air and does not have the same rules as drinking on the ground. But PJ reminds Hannah she WAS on the ground! There is some laughter about PJ and his line 'It is Awfully Fly For A White Boy'. They also discuss the terrible potholes that are on every road in the UK and how much worse they are than Spain. After speaking about Leann Rhimes suggestion that the key to a successful marriage is to argue naked, they go on to speak about the new Lidl which has opened in San Pedro, and the upcoming rehearsed play reading and poetry night at a new venue for International Theatre Studio, Havana 65 in San Pedro. On Thursday morning Hannah went for a personal training session with Costa del Sol personal trainer Scott Roberts (@scottreviveandthrive and @aloha-fitnessstudio). Hannah speaks about his sensitivity to women that have had children and the plans he designs for them to address weight and strength issues. Hannah was put through her paces even though she has great triceps (apparently)! This week's Hogan Stand quiz was the Valentine's themed one where all questions related to love or romance in some way. PJ's team managed to come second, despite their very bad start. Hannah's weekly catch up with her dad was at Hustle n Flow on Friday, after which Hannah headed off to the Marbella Beauty Academy for a €10 facial. Find out how it went on the podcast. Also, on Friday they were both interviewed by Adam Woodward of The Euro Weekly News (@euroweeklynews) about the podcast and reaching 100 episodes. Be sure to check out next week's paper for the full article. Later that evening Hannah joined Meadhbh and Aoife for a Galentine's get together starting off at the Hogan Stand (@thehoganstand) for Happy Hour and then on to La Tizona for wine and cheese. Meanwhile PJ had met up with work colleagues Joshua and Ysa for a Palentine's night out in San Pedro, starting off at La Fria for tapas and then on to Bar Guerra (@bar_guerra). After that they headed to Havana 65 for cocktails (@havana65sanpedro) where they were spotted by what was now 5 girls on the Galentine's night out. Listen to the chaos that ensued! The weekend was very chilled, and they enjoyed some pie and mash. The pies were from the Pie Shop Estepona and PJ made some buttery mash to accompany them. This week's Euro weekly News articles included the story of an American buying an entire Spanish village on the border of Spain and Portugal for €310,000, the terrible state of the roads that is now considered a crisis and the damp issues do many homes are encountering due to the constant rain over the last few weeks. They also discuss Bad Bunny at the Superbowl, Chinese New Year and give a shout out to a listener called David from Germany who got in touch after last week's podcast and enjoys hearing about San Pedro as he and his family have been regular visitors for the last 25 years. Just another huge thank you to all of you for making Marbella with Him & Her the number one lifestyle podcast in Marbella and for sticking with us and helping us get to over 100 episodes!!

The Marbella Podcast Marbella with Him & Her Episode 100!

Welcome to episode 100 of Marbella with Him & Her! It is a milestone for the husband and wife team of PJ Lopez and Hannah Murray and they are so proud to continue to bring you the latest news and information from Marbella as well as the usual banter, places they have visited, places that you should check out, and of course news items from the week courtesy of their collaborators the Euro Weekly News. They have learnt a lot from the early episodes of Marbella with Him & Her, and are thrilled that last year The Hogan Stand became the official sponsor of the podcast. Having had nearly 10,000 downloads and with over 7,700 listeners, they are thrilled to get regular feedback from people that love the content and actually try out recommendations they have made, and even come up to them to say hello while they are out and about. In this week's episode they chat about Hannah's girls’ trip to Butlins in the UK and the sights she saw, while PJ of course held the fort back in Marbella. Listen to find out about her nearly Karaoke with former Eastenders star Shaun Williamson, whether she got to be Jason Donovan's Kylie, and the antics of the weekend from fancy dress to bingo bongo. Upon Hannah's return to the UK the weather had taken yet another turn for the worse with more amber and red alerts because of storms. The week was a bit all over the place as the regular Hogan Stand Quiz night was moved to the Wednesday because of the Ireland Six Nations match against France. It was the day of the amber alert but that did not seem to discourage the hardcore quizzers who turned out in force! Friday night Hannah went to a Red Room Pilates session at Alegre Studios in Puerto Banus while PJ was watching the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics. This week’s Euro Weekly News articles include the weather returning to some type of normality, the Make Marbella Dry Again red hat, the fact that one third of dams in Spain are currently unsafe because of the storms and many riverbanks are nearly at bursting point. On a lighter note they talk about the rhythmic gymnastics’ finals being held in Torrox. As always you can follow Pj on Instagram at @pjlopez1marbella, Hannah at @radiohannah, the San Pedro Guide at @sanpedromarbellaguide, the new Podcast Instagram @marbella_with_him_and_her, sponsors The Hogan Stand at @thehoganstand and collaborators The Euro Weekly News @euroweeklynews

It is a lifestyle podcast presented by husband and wife duo PJ Lopez and Hannah Murray bringing you some expat married banter along with some great recommendations, their social activities and selected news from their collaborators the Euro Weekly News! This week they start with the horrendous weather front that has been battering the Costa del Sol during the week. Torrential rain and extremely high winds left flooding, felled trees and property damage across the region. Find out how Hannah got on driving in the awful conditions. They also get serious and talk about the terrible tragedy of that left local resident Victoria Hart dead at the hands of her husband as a result of domestic abuse. They discuss who to call if you are in that situation and how difficult it is to report threats until something physical actually happens, by which time it is often too late. One of the interview highlights for Hannah during the week was with actor (and now author) Melvyn Hayes, who some of you might remember from It Ain't Half Hot Mum and Summer Holiday with Cliff Richard. Hannah shares some great stories he told about both and the fact that he has written his first book aged 91. PJ and Hannah also discuss their changing taste buds and the types of food they hated as kids and now love. This weeks episode does not include Hannah all the way through as she was in the UK at Butlins with a group of girlfriends for an 80's weekender. She will have all the gossip and antics next week! PJ was left to cover the Thursday quiz at the sponsors The Hogan Stand, which seemed to go quite well. He also went out for coffee with friends Aoife and Meadhbh to Pandora in San Pedro (@pandorarestolunch). Find out how the coffee prices compare to some of the new speciality coffee houses. Saturday night PJ went out with a friend from work Joshua to the new La Kasita Tapas y Mas Dutch tapas bar opposite the 24hr pharmacy in San Pedro. They speak about 'sliding doors' moments as one of their friends daughters was supposed to be on that train but ended up getting on an earlier one. She also mentions another interview on the same topic with podcaster Anna Donaghey called What Are You Thirsty For, and her podcast Big Drink Rethink (@bigdrinkrethink). Hannah and PJ also discuss their current journey, being more mindful about how much they are drinking. They discuss Hannah's recent shoulder issue and the visit she made to 'her back guy' Lucas Benet, who managed to get it sorted in one visit. They talking the fabulous food, entertainment and wine! Saturday, PJ was at the office with his colleagues helping to pack things up ready for the big office move next week. Then later that day it was the Urban Chai quiz which was a full house and won by PJ's team The Sham Directors. They give a special shoutout to Meadhbh who got a challenging music question right. Would you have got it? There is a shout out to La Sala who are celebrating their 15th anniversary and a promotion they are doing by offering drinks at 2010 prices. They could not end the podcast without speaking about the whole Beckham situation and what their thoughts on the matter are. Euro Weekly News articles this week (@euroweeklynews) include the awful news about a mother of three murdered by her partner in Alhaurin el Grande. They discuss the fact that Spain ranks number two for the world's most visited country. Puente Romano, Marbella & travel recommendations

Welcome to episode 96 of Marbella with Him & Her, the weekly lifestyle podcast about Marbella and the lives of expat couple PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah). They are a married couple living in the cosmopolitan Marbella town of San Pedro de Alcantara. PJ is a digital marketing consultant and Hannah is a radio and tv presenter and each week they bring you some married life banter and details of places they have visited, things they have done and general life on the Costa del Sol. This week we start with Hannah's excitement to get back to her keep fit routine which did not start off as planned as her reformer Pilates class had been cancelled the night before but Hannah for some reason did not get the memo. Hannah had been invited to dinner by her friend Cindy Lass, an artist who was visiting Marbella with her son. They ate at the Puente Romano restaurant Gaia which is a Greek / Mediterranean style eatery. Hannah talks about her women talk show on the radio where she was joined by Audrey Spearing, Georgina Shaw and Mary Harboe.  PJ and Hannah also chat about Lions Mane the new super supplement. Hannah had some in a drink when she went to Hustle n Flow with her father for brunch where they had some amazing food. There are lots of new things on the menu so it is well worth following their Instagram and they post some great content showcasing their food (@hustlenfloweatery). Some guests Hannah interviewed this week on her radio show included the wonderful Alan and Jenny Boardman who do so much work for charity. This was about an initiative they had for collecting old pairs of glasses from people so they could deliver them to Uganda to people that simply do not get access to glasses. They also purchased over 200 pairs of shoes for children as many kids in Uganda do not have shoes. Another great interview was with Sunna van Kampen (@tonichealth) about his best selling book, The Good The Bad and The Healthy. It is about the hidden ingredients and bad things in everyday food items. His social media account has lots of videos of him in a supermarket pulling things off the shelf and explaining what to look out for, what to avoid, and what to get instead. Euro Weekly News items this week include a few articles about travel. From the Forbes recommendations that you should visit in Spain to an article about a very little known village in the north of Spain named the best place to visit in Spain in January.

Happy New Year from a very wet Marbella!

Welcome to the first 'Marbella with Him & Her' of 2026! It has been a busy festive season in Marbella seeing friends and family starting last Sunday with Craig and Evelyn going over to Hannah & PJ's for lunch and games. PJ made an after Christmas family favourite, turkey Indian rice with a Brussel sprout curry. There was lots of fun, laughter and red wine consumed, before a game of Cards Against Humanity. One of Hannah's interview highlights of the week was with bestselling author Jeffrey Archer, whom she had interviewed on several occasions before. They spoke about a very interesting book he has written called End Game which is about what went wrong at the London 2012 Olympics, some of which is true and some fiction. On Tuesday Hannah convinced PJ to join her at her regular body combat class at Supera gym in San Pedro. Needless to say, PJ was somewhat exhausted for the rest of the day. The evening was The Big Fat Quiz of the Year at the Hogan Stand which saw the biggest turnout in 15 years of quizzing. Some 20 teams and nearly 100 people enjoyed a fun evening of quiz questions about 2025. The following day Hannah's father’s cousin Miles and his wife Sue joined them for brunch at Savva Lounge in San Pedro where they all enjoyed a mixture of Eggs Benedict in a croissant, French Omelette and Waffles with maple syrup and crispy chicken, the ideal set up for a long night of New Year's Eve celebrating at The Hogan Stand. Lots of friends and family got together for a great night as always with lots of singing and dancing to the tunes of Paul Hull. On Friday, Hannah and PJ went to meet up with Kelly, one of the ladies from The Sisterhood (@thesisterhoodgroup) who had been on the India Rickshaw Rally from Chennai to Goa with Hannah. She was over for a few days with her husband Paul and a group of friends. Paul is also a Crystal Palace supporter so there was lots of catching up about India and football. As well as home cooking there was quite a lot of takeaway food from the Chinese Nuevo Siglo and King Ramen (now called Ramen and Sushi), both of which are in San Pedro. The weather has been playing a major role in the Three Kings lead up with many processions postponed, cancelled or shortened due to heavy rain. Euro Weekly News (@euroweeklynews) articles this week include more information about the effects of storm Francis, some more clarity on the V16 beacons required by law in cars, the delay of the electric scooter register by the DGT, and an article about the upcoming rehearsed play ready by International Theatre Studio, Yes Prime Minister due to be performed on 21 January 2026. As we head into Christmas it has been a busy week for choirs, soirees, and lots more. Talking of soirees Hannah went to her friend Audrey's house last Sunday, after recording last week's podcast for a girly get together for drinks, food and games which was a great way to enjoy the build up to the Christmas period. Some highlighted interviews that Hannah did on the radio this week included Steph Douglas talking about her company Don't Buy Me Flowers, which she set up when she was literally overwhelmed with flowers from friends after she had a baby. Another interview was with former colleague Ian Rutter who was a big part of the TV series with Alan Carr and Amanda Holden when they renovated a house in the Andalucian village they live in. They were back to film a Spanish Christmas Special, and he shared some very funny stories about their time here. Hannah also interviewed James Reed, the entrepreneur and CEO of Reed Recruitment about his book Karma Capitalism which is about giving a percentage of profits each year directly to charity and the effect is has on employees and business partners. Hannah has also been doing her bit for charity helping pack shopping for customers at Overseas Supermarkets in Puerto Banus and encouraging shoppers to leave a small donation for Collective Calling, a local charity that does a lot of work for the homeless on the Costa del Sol. It is not just Hannah that has been having all the fun! As we mentioned last week PJ had his Christmas party at Mosh Fun Kitchen where he managed to fall off a table. He is still a bit battered and bruised but that did not stop him dressing up as a reindeer for his works Christmas video! It was the famous Hogan Stand Christmas quiz which was enjoyed by lots of people turning out in red costumes or Santa hats. Before the quiz started Hannah enjoyed the fish pie, which is one of the winter specials at The Hogan Stand and is highly recommended. On Friday PJ and Hannah had their Irish friends, The Kellys over for dinner, and PJ bravely cooked an Irish Guinness stew from the cookbook that Aoife and Meadhbh bought him for his birthday. Articles from their collaborators, the Euro Weekly News this week included Hannah actually being in the paper thanks to the Del Sol Singers choir performing at the Age Concern Lunch that was held at The Hogan Stand. They also discuss the article about El Gordo the famous Spanish Christmas lottery, and changes for people with electric scooters. As this is the last Podcast to be uploaded before Christmas, so on behalf of Hannah and PJ (Marbella with Him & Her), have a very merry, safe and wonderful Christmas wherever you are in the world and look out for their next podcast where they will share all of the Christmas stories and looking back over some highlights of the year.

Hannah is sporting her new Christmas nails that were done just in time for some more Del Sol Singers Christmas choir events. They sang for CAP (Charity & Pleasure) earlier in the week before their yearly performance at the Age Concern Christmas lunch held at the Hogan Stand. The Best Marbella Brunch Recommendations & Christmas Choirs

Welcome to episode 91 of Marbella with Him & Her, your Marbella podcast presented by husband and wife expats PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah). Every week they bring you the latest news and gossip from the cosmopolitan resort of Marbella on Spain's Costa del Sol. Join them for some friendly married life banter and get some great recommendations of places to visit and things that are going on, as well as reviews of places they have visited over the past week. They start with their delicious lunch immediately after recording last week's podcast when they went to G-Wine in San Pedro. The menu has both sharing plates as well as main dishes. Find out what they ordered and what they thought of the venue. Some of Hannah's interview highlights of the week from her radio show included an interesting chat with Zoe Clews about Christmas and the fact that it can be a sad, anxious or even upsetting time for some people, for many different personal reasons. She also caught up with Ingrid Jansen who runs the Declutter Hub, who has inspired Hannah over the years to let go of so many unnecessary items. This week they were specifically chatting about getting organised for Christmas. Hannah mentions a post she saw about Ireland offering grants to people who want to live on a remote island and renovate a derelict home. There was some confusion whether it was Ireland's islands or just Ireland. Listen to find out what they said and what was concluded. Last week lots of people were sharing their Spotify wraps of the year and their 'musical' age. Musically Hannah and PJ seemed to have each other’s, while some people were much younger, and a few were very much older! It was also lovely to have some listeners share their podcast wraps showing Marbella with Him & Her their most listened to Podcast. Thursday was a milestone for Hannah with her weekly Hogan Stand quiz as she marked 15 years of hosting it at The Hogan Stand. There were some lovely speeches, cake and flowers. You can hear more details on the podcast. They were both due to go to The Sunset Beach Hotel on Friday night to see Ricky Lavazza's Christmas Cracker show featuring Karen Danzig. PJ was not feeling 100% so he stayed at home in bed while Hannah went to enjoy a festive night of amazing singing and dancing. After a night of rest PJ was fighting fit again and they went to Savva Lounge in San Pedro for brunch. It was a kind invitation from the lovely owner Thao who had decided to open the venue during the day for brunch. It is usually a night venue for cocktails and shisha, but she wanted to make use of the lovely space during the day too. With the assistance of Stef the Chef, she is now serving some incredible food. They enjoyed their first ever American chicken waffles and maple syrup, as well as some other tasty dishes. Saturday night was the first official Christmas choir performance and the most Christmassy place in Marbella, The Harbour. Euro Weekly News articles this week include one about ten key Christmas foods that have increased in price, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake felt on the Costa del Sol, the Mijas Pueblo charity Christmas Tree route and this year's pantomime at the Salon Varietes.

Her in Marbella & Him in the UK!

Welcome to the latest episode of the popular Marbella podcast presented by PJ Lopez and Hannah Murray called Marbella with Him & Her. This week while PJ was in the UK, Hannah was all set to record the podcast on her own, with some snippets PJ had sent across while in the UK. Unfortunately, that all went to pot as Hannah had some technical issues which prevented her from recording anything, but that was to all of your benefit as PJ returned from the UK and normal service was resumed! While PJ was away, Hannah certainly did not sit at home moping, she had a very busy week, but before he headed to the UK, they entertained their friend Nikki on Sunday night who was over in Marbella for a few days. PJ cooked his spag bol with pork mince (controversial) and they settled down to watch the opening episode of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here. They are now all addicted to the nightly episodes and rooting for one of their favourite people, Vogue Williams. Hannah mentions that she might be a little 'parasocial' when it comes to Vogue! Monday was a busy Bootcamp Pilates as Hannah, Amy and Nikki all attended the class now hosted by India. However not long afterward Hannah was full of cold and has been battling it all week! After some bedrest she was well enough to go to dinner with Nikki hoping to go to Alfredos in San Pedro de Alcantara, but it was closed for holidays. They ended up next door at another Spanish restaurant called El Cantinero, which they have mentioned on the pod before. If you have wondered what has happened to Pub Charles, Hannah has some information on that too! This week's interview highlights Hannah did on the radio included one with author J Randy Taraborelli who has written numerous books on JFK. His latest one is about his parents Joe and Rose, and Janet, who was employed to take care of some rather bizarre requirements. Hannah also talks about a Daily Mail article which was about the spelling of Irish names which was quite frankly disgusting and pretty much racist. They both have a bit of a rant about the article! While in rant mode, Hannah calls out the underwear chain Calzedonia for their stupidity in having hooks in the changing rooms that are too big for the hangers they have on their items. In her chat with Guy Lloyd of Penguin Random House they discuss a new book project from Steven Graham, the award winning actor who produced Adolescence. It is a project for fathers to write letters to their sons explaining adulthood and growing up as a male. PJ has some good airport tips for people traveling to the UK, and how to beat the queues at Malaga Airport passport control when departing. They have news about the light switching on ceremony for San Pedro de Alcantara, and also mention that up in Murcia, Richard Gere will be switching their lights on!! Hannah gives out some important information about a charity called the Food Fairies and the amazing work they do, especially around Christmas for disadvantaged children. We are also very excited to announce a new collaboration with The Euro Weekly News. This week's articles include a special guide they have produced about the new EES border control in Spain which is proving to be invaluable for UK travellers both leaving and coming to Spain. They also discuss the article about the upcoming arctic weather on its way called the 'Power Arctic Air Mass' which will send temperatures plummeting. Another important article from the EWN was for motorists and the use of their horns. The police are cracking down on incorrect usage and issuing fines of up to €200 to offenders so make sure you read up on when you can use it. This week is a real bumper week of information and there is so much more they cover so make sure you give it a listen.

It's time for the latest episode of Marbella with Him & Her, the weekly podcast about Marbella and the Costa del Sol presented by husband and wife expats PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah) and sponsored by San Pedro based Irish Pub The Hogan Stand (@thehoganstand). This week the Mushy Peas debate continues after some feedback from listeners and asking different friends what their take was. Listen to find out who "won" the debate. Hannah follows up with an Instagram reel challenge that seems to indicate that women are able to react faster than men. PJ shares some important information about changes in Social Media that he learnt from a very interesting zoom presentation by Inge Hunter (@inge.hunter) during the week which was all about the Andromeda update and how it has and will be affecting social media accounts, whether personal or business. Some interesting interviews this week from Hannah's afternoon show on Talk Radio Europe (@talk_radio_europe) included a great initiative launched by La Cala based celebrity chef Steven Saunders (@thegeraniumchefsaunders) in which he is looking to offer cooking lessons for people of a more senior age who might have found themselves in a position where they now need to fend for themselves and never learnt some of the basic skill of cooking. Another interesting interview Hannah did was with Lady Fiona Carnarvon who lives in and runs Highclere Castle (@highclere_castle) where Downton Abbey is filmed. On Friday, Hannah and PJ went their separate ways to attend different parties. PJ was at El Gamonal (@restauranteelgamonal) in San Pedro which is a stunning restaurant often used for private parties and functions. It was the 50th Year Anniversary for the International Theatre Studio (@internationaltheatrestudio) and there was a black and gold gala dinner held to celebrate the milestone. Meanwhile Hannah went to the UK to a Bollywood Party to see the premiere of the Let's Goa documentary that was put together by Sam Teale Productions (@samtealeproductions) with footage of the Sisterhood's charity tuk tuk rally from Chennai to Goa in India. You can watch the documentary here https://youtu.be/tZCVFsV1Uf8 It was a party of Indian food and dancing and lots of fun, laughter and tears! This was after Hannah and Nikki visited Sloane Square for lunch and designer hot chocolate by Ralph Lauren. PJ and Hannah share some awful news about their journey back from the airport and how they were about 30 seconds behind a major accident on the toll road because of a car going down the wrong side of the toll road and colliding head on with another vehicle. They got there a few seconds after it had happened by which time lots of cars had pulled up on the side of the road and were already assisting the passengers of the car. Hannah reminds drivers in Spain that from 1st January the new V16 light will replace the warning triangle. She advises listers what the minimum requirements and type of V16 is required. Sur in English articles this week again include more records being broken at Malaga Airport with passenger numbers and X (formerly Twitter) being slapped with a huge fine for not verifying the legality of financial scams being advertised on the platform.

She also bought some incredible tasting Cumberland sausages, all of which were made on the premises. The day of recording this week's podcast they had both been out with friends Jamie and Bev on their regular magical mystery tour, where they arrange a day out and lunch at a secret location. This time they headed off to East of Malaga to La Cala del Moral to Cueva del Tesoro (@cuevadeltersoro) which were some privately owned caves. They then headed across the road to a stunning bar and restaurant for drinks which had the most incredible views on what was said to be the largest rooftop terrace in Malaga (@restaurantelacaliza) but were the view 360 or 180 degrees? Listen and find out! After that they went back along the coast for lunch to a place in El Palo just outside of Malaga City to a wonderful place called El Balneario - Baños del Carmen (@elbalneariomalaga) for lunch. It was somewhere Bev had discovered when she was an extra on Jilly Cooper's Rivals. Feria in San Pedro, Marbella and Mattress Mick in Ireland

Welcome to the latest episode of Marbella with Him & Her, your weekly update on things that have happened in Marbella and San Pedro de Alcantara over the past week, brought to you by husband and wife expats PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah). If you have not listened before, PJ is a digital marketer and Hannah is a radio presenter on Talk Radio Europe and a TV presenter on Good Morning Spain. They both moved to Spain in 2003. They co-founded a popular guide to San Pedro (@sanpedromarbellaguide) and enjoy sharing their ups and downs of expat life in Marbella via this podcast. It was San Pedro Feria week last week which started with a parade of stilt walkers, flamenco dancers and inflatable bulls. It was the first time in many years that there was no rain during the feria and also the first time in years PJ had not attended. Hannah on the other hand went Friday with friends Adrienne, Aoife, and Meadhbh where she says they enjoyed some rides, although their faces seemed to say the opposite. They also had the obligatory buñuelos (mini doughnuts). On Saturday Hannah went again with another friend, Maria who was visiting from Portugal. They started the evening with tapas at La Fria before heading up to get the bus. Getting to and from the feria from San Pedro centre was easy as there was a free bus service in operation with buses every 20 minutes. Another feria first this year was Hannah actually winning a prize in the bingo! Meanwhile PJ was otherwise engaged doing the sound and lighting for a very successful run of Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime written by David Tristram and performed by the International Theatre Studio (@internationaltheatrestudio). Some interview highlights last week that Hannah did on her radio show included interviewing Irish national treasure Mattress Mick (@mattressmicks). Not being Irish we did not know who he was but it seems that ALL of our Irish friends, and pretty much everyone in Ireland know exactly who he is as he is somewhat of a legend. She also interviewed an interesting author called Anne Abel (@annesimaabel) about her book High Hopes and her sudden introduction to a concert which resulted in her following Bruce Springsteen across Australia. Followers of Marbella with Him & Her will be aware of Hannah's weekly exercise classes (Bootcamp Pilates, Body Combat and Thursday gym). However, she was invited to try a class at Iron Body Fitness (@ironbodyfit.marbellacentro) last week which involved stripping off and getting into a suit rigged up with electric pulses. Listen to find out how she got on. On Sunday afternoon along with some friends, they were booked in to take part in the Rotary Club Marbella Treasure Hunt around San Pedro in aid of World Polio Day. Their competitive spirit shone through as their team Hogan's Hunters (as they are all regulars at the Hogan Stand), won the treasure hunt. Find out what goodies they won! Sur in English articles this week include Spain tourism being promoted through the USA, new records for Malaga Airport passengers, the northen lights possibly being visible in southern Spain, decreasing cinema attendences and the extension of the BBQ ban.

    Back to Marbella Life

After a crazy week in Bucharest it is good to be back in Marbella and getting back to routines. Hannah was straight back to Pilates and was pleased to be back to her fitness regime. Hannah also shares her disappointment about another reading she had. She was also back to some great interviews on Talk Radio Europe, the first of which was with someone they have both seen perform in many Salon Varietes shows. Regan Bailey Walker was a standout performer at Salon and has gone on to perform in the West End in some amazing musicals as well as appearing in Eastenders. She popped into the TRE studios to have a chat with Hannah about her career so far which included recently being in Evita with Rachel Zegler at The London Palladium. They had a busy weekend of food starting on Friday by entertaining Sheila's friends who were visiting from Belfast and the UK.  Sadly, both Shelia and Bernie (Hannah's father) were not very well so the ladies went to Hannah & PJ for a paella feast and some great chat. On Saturday PJ cooked stuffed cabbage leaves, a dish they enjoyed in Romania. Hannah tells a funny story about a mosquito in the car and a spooky radio message just after PJ managed to squash it. Sur in English articles this week include two Malaga chefs being recognised at the best chef awards, Dani Garcia and Benito Gomez, who own restaurants that they have eaten in. One more recently in Ronda called Bardal where they had an amazing tasting menu. This weekend the much talked about EES system rolls out at airports, starting in Madrid but not yet at Malaga airport as they are using a gradual roll out. They also discuss a stormfront that has hit Spain called Storm Alice which has caused downpours and flooding in Ibiza and parts of the Costa Blanca. Don't forget to follow the podcast on your favourite podcast app and also you can keep up to date with Hannah on Instagram @radiohannah and PJ at @pjlopez1marbella

    From Marbella to Bucharest

Welcome to the latest episode of Marbella with Him & Her, your weekly podcast from expat couple PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah). The weekend started with a Good Morning Spain photoshoot for Hannah, a BBQ at Rachel and Gerry's house with some great food and company. They left a little earlier than would have normally been the case as they still had to pack for their trip to Bucharest and prepare for the monthly quiz at Urban Chai. It was straight home from the quiz for a couple of hours sleep before heading to the airport for an early flight. They have some great tips on Malaga airport parking and PJ shares his packing tips, which still seems to astound Hannah! After a 3.5 hour flight they arrived at the airport in Bucharest and jumped in an Uber. They quickly established that Uber and Bolt were much cheaper than normal taxis, with the trip from the airport to the city centre costing just over €10. After getting their bearings having done some sightseeing on the jump on jump off bus, they went out to the old town and found a bar, which happened to be an Irish bar. After refuelling they had a bit of an explore and ended up having Greek gyros on their first night! They managed to pack in quite a lot over the next few days which included finding the clinic founded by Hannah's childhood heroine, former gymnast Nadia Comaneci (the first gymnast to ever score a perfect 10 at the Olympics). Hannah was thrilled and emotional and even managed to form a few gymnast poses! Food was a big part of the trip so they went on the hunt for some traditional Romanian food which included soup at Ciorbarie (@ciorbarie), lunch in Brasov in restaurant Ograba which included the famous Romanian dessert Papanasi, a meal at the famous restaurant Caru cu Bere (@carucubere) and a meal in the oldest restaurant in Romania (200 years old) Hanu lui Manuc (@restauranthanuluimanuc). Culture was also a huge part of their trip with visits to the interactive Communist museum, an organised trip to see Peles Castle, the stunning town of Brasov and Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle) in Transylvania. they also checked out Casa Ceausescu, the former residence of the dictator and his family, and the parliament building which is the third largest in the world behind The Pentagon in USA and Thailands new parliament building. But it still remains the heaviest building in the world. They also took some time out to relax in Europes largest indoor and outdoor spa Therme Spa and found a great British pub quiz in Mojo (@bigbritishbucharestquiz) Listen to the Podcast for more information and useful tips about visiting Bucharest. They finish up by discuss a couple of articles from The Sur in English such as new Ryan Air routes, helicopter tours in Seville and the upcoming Gibraltar literary festival

Having celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary, they share their amazing meal at Chef by Divot and their new love for grilled avocado! Welcome to another episode of Marbella's number one podcast 'Marbella with Him & Her' After a week of travels, PJ and Hannah are back to the beautiful Marbella and San Pedro area that they are so pleased to call home! In this week's episode they chat about going to see their super talented friend Karen Danzig perform at Dominion Beach in Estepona, under the stars and supposed blood moon. They had never been to this venue before and were impressed with the setting and food! Hannah speaks about some amazing interviews she did last week which included one with biographer Lesley-Ann Jones who was approached by the secret child of Queen megastar Freddie Mercury to write about her story of being Freddie Mercury's daughter. The book was written from his diaries. It was simply called 'Love, Freddie'. Hannah also spoke with a regular guest of hers over the years, Dr Marc Abraham OBE, who was responsible for pushing through parliament Lucy's Law, which stopped dogs being sold through pet shops. He is now helping a friend in the USA to try and stop the supply of dogs in the USA through puppy mills. He has a great documentary out which is well worth a watch called 'Dogspiracy'. Another great interview she did was with female rock legend Suzi Quatro about her latest poetry book. Listen how Hannah might have even convinced Suzi to change her will. She also chatted to Huey Morgan, of The Fun Lovin' Criminals, who liked a swearword! And as if that wasn't enough in terms of great interviews, she also spoke with her cousin Bill Holland about his book called 'Beyond our Kenneth', which is a follow on to Kenneth Williams' published diary. It was quite a busy week back with the International Theatre Studio unrehearsed reading 'Happy Campers' at the Atalaya Golf & Country Club. Everyone was encouraged to dress up in Holiday Camp attire, needless to say PJ and Hannah were only too happy to oblige! Later in the week there was a rather large group of friends that descended on their favourite Indian restaurant in San Pedro de Alcantara, Bombay Grill. After a week of holiday PJ had gotten over his buttock injury sustained at football and was back between the sticks again for football training. It was essentially over 2 hours non-stop football and he has managed to injure the other buttock and also sprain his fingers. He is insistent it is because he has not used these muscles in many years. The Sur in English articles this week include the increasing inflation on the Costa del Sol, experts warning of torrential rain in Spain this autumn and a serious debate on whether tortilla is better with or without onion. From Marbella to Murcia; Him & Her go on holiday!

It's another week and that means another episode of the Marbella lifestyle podcast Marbella with Him & Her presented by PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah). It is a weekly insight into life in Marbella from husband and wife expats who made Marbella home over 20 years ago. PJ is a digital marketing consultant and Hannah is a radio presenter on Talk Radio Europe (@talk_radio_europe) and is lucky enough to interview some amazing people every week from authors of inspirational books to celebrities, sports personalities, chefs and even politicians. She also presents a TV segment in Spain's very first English language breakfast TV show that goes out on regional Spanish TV called Good Morning Spain (@goodmorningspaintv). In this week’s episode they headed away from their usual setting of Marbella on the Costa del Sol to further along the coast to Villamartin in Torrevieja on the southern Costa Blanca. They had agreed to 'cat sit' for PJ's sister who was off to Italy on her vacation. Plans changed slightly as PJ's nephew was called into work at the last minute and was unable to go on the family holiday, which meant a slight change in plans for PJ & Hannah. On route they decided to have a change from their usual roadside stop for a break and headed into a village on route. They chose a place called Baza where they managed to somehow sniff out the most expensive restaurant on the town for lunch called Kaliskka where they had a stunning dish and one not so appetising. They also stayed overnight in Murcia city centre in an area called 'San Pedro' which was full of amazing tapas restaurants, needless to say a tapas crawl was on the cards for lunch! One of their favourite restaurants n the crawl was called La Tapa (@latapadelasflores) where they did some very interesting and delicious tapa dishes. Listen to the podcast to hear more about their Murcia visit and culinary adventures. Hannah's colleague Linda from Good Morning Spain has been away working on a luxury yacht as a chef, first stew and pretty much everything else that needed to be done onboard. From a post she put up Hannah noticed that they had moored unexpectedly in Torrevieja port due to an engine failure. Off they went to visit her and were invited onboard the yacht for a tour and catch up. It was a great way for them both to show their Below Deck knowledge! While away Hannah managed to get through lots of reading, which included Vogue Williams' book Big Mouth (@voguewilliams) She co-hosts one of their favourite podcasts 'My Therapist Ghosted Me'. PJ's nephew now not away meant that PJ & Hannah decided to book a couple of nights in Roquetas del Mar, which was on the way home to Marbella. They headed off earlier than originally planned via the stunning city of Cartagena to a place called Aguadulce. It was a port within the Roquetas del Mar area of Almeria and they stayed in a lovely frontline port spa hotel. There was a bit of a pub crawl on day one where PJ found out about Hannah's hidden pool skills. After a spa and massage session of day two they had dinner in a wonderful Argentinean restaurant further along the paseo.  Upon arrival back in San Pedro de Alcantara it was off to celebrate Meadhbh's birthday at the Hogan Stand (@thehoganstand).  On Saturday, even with a hangover, Hannah got up and headed to Kova Beach Club (@kovabeachclub) for Lina's hen party (Mummy Marbella). They also discussed some general news such as the passing of fashion icon Giorgio Armani, the tragic funicular rail crash in Lisbon as well as Sur in English articles about the Broccoli haircut, Comic Con in Malaga and a good Samaritan returning a lost wallet full of cash.

New Marbella restaurants, Hannah's birthday, & Frigiliana

Welcome to episode 75 of Marbella with Him & Her, a weekly podcast all about the busy lives of expat residents PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Talk Radio Europe presenter Hannah Murray (@radiohannah).  Just after the recording of last week's podcast they went to lunch with friends Craig and Evelyn who have just moved to San Pedro having been living in Switzerland. They are regular attendees of the Thursday quiz at the Hogan Stand and regular listeners of this very podcast. They all headed out to La Fria restaurant and tapas bar in San Pedro for a fun catch up before heading to the Hogan Stand so PJ could watch the charity shield between Crystal Palace and Liverpool. It was another happy afternoon for PJ as Palace lifted the trophy after a penalty shoot out to decide the winners. Tuesday evening PJ went birthday shopping for Hannah at El Corte Ingles, and was for once happy that it all seemed to go to plan. It was a very busy end to the week staring with Hannah going birthday shopping with her father, who has continued the tradition that Wren, Hannah's mum had always loved to do. Later in the day, they went out to dinner with Hannah's father Bernie and his girlfriend Sheila to a new restaurant in San Pedro that had come highly recommended by friends Paul and Ursula. It is called Icha Mochi (@ichamochi_marbella) and is a Swedish owned Japanese restaurant serving sushi, poke style bowls and much more. The food was absolutely amazing and will definitely become a regular! Saturday morning they got up early as it was Hannah's birthday and after the present giving they got in the car and headed to Frigiliana near Nerja for a night away. It is a beautiful white village just inland from Nerja which to use a cliché, was a picture postcard setting. They stayed at a cure B&B and headed out to lunch in a restaurant called Pura Cepa where they enjoyed some incredible food (@puracepagrupo). After a little siesta they went for a rooftop swim before heading out for a stunning dinner at The Garden Restaurant which has incredible views to match the incredible food. After dinner they went to a wine bar / shop and had a glass of the local Muscatel Frigiliana sweet wine which cost a whopping €1 per glass! Sur in English articles this week include information about the recent wildfires being potentially started on purpose and that the Andalucia President is calling for harsher penalties. They also speak about the current heatwave alert, Hannah's dad and Sheila's road trip across Spain, the start of Malaga feria and the extension to La Cañada shopping centre.

Welcome to the latest episode of the popular Marbella lifestyle podcast Marbella with Him & Her hosted by local Talk Radio Europe radio presenter Hannah Murray and her husband PJ Lopez. She also interviewed John Deverell from the Cruise Market who specialise in helping people book their cruises. Catch up on other things that happened during the week including a special guest who was in Marbella with his family and came to the Hogan Stand Quiz on Thursday. In fact he asked Hannah if he could read out a question so Hannah eventually said yes to former Manchester United and England footballer (who was also best man to David Beckham), Gary Neville! See PJ's viral video on his TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@pjlopezmarbella). On Friday, Hannah had a beach day with Sheila at the former Maya Garden venue in San Pedro now called Gala Beach. Football, Feminism, and Beach BBQ's in the Marbella Sun

Welcome to the latest episode of Marbella with Him & Her, your weekly catch up about Marbella presented by Hannah Murray (@radiohannah) and PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella). It has been another busy week starting just after last week's recording of the podcast with a beach day at Los Espigones in Puerto Banus on the €16 beds that have mattresses for extra comfort (@chiringuito.losespigones). That evening was the final of the women's Euro 25 with England playing Spain. Although Spain had more attacking chances, England managed to take the match to penalties with Chloe Kelly scoring the winning penalty shot after heroics from Hannah Hampton. Hannah interviewed Karen Dobres about her book Pitch Invasion, which is about her story as a feminist on the board of Lewes football club, who were the first club to pay their women football players the same as the men. She also spoke about their unique co-ownership plan where for £50 a year you can have a vote on the board. She also spoke about her interview with Brian Klein who was the director of 28 seasons of Top Gear. He told a wonderful story about how the name 'Stig' came about. They also discussed the passing of Sylvia Young who ran the most famous drama school in the UK which saw many of today's presenters and tv celebrities pass through the school. Hannah recalls the fact that she went to the school on a Saturday where she learnt many new talents. Friday, Hannah went for a catch up lunch with Charlotte at Kala Kalua before a shopping trip to get the food for the epic beach BBQ. They then headed to their favourite Indian restaurant in San Pedro, Bombay Grill (@bombaygrill_sanpedro) for a lovely meal and to take some photos for the San Pedro Guide (@sanpedromarbellaguide). On Saturday, PJ and Hannah hosted a beach BBQ on the boats you can hire which are literally old wooden boats filled with sand. They made different flavour chicken wings and burgers as well as taking lots of additional food. Over 35 people were at the BBQ which ended up being a fantastic day. Debbie even taught everyone the dance to House of Bamboo, which featured in the cult tv series This City is Ours. Other topics discussed included the follow up to Bend it like Beckham, the nostalgic TV series Mix Tape, the series Aquarius about Charles Manson, the expensive underground car park in San Pedro and the additional apartments that will add even more traffic to San Pedro roads when they are built, plus Will Smith at Starlite Marbella. Sur in English articles this week include one about three of the most expensive motorway tolls being in Malaga.

PJ's birthday in Marbella, and never work with children

Marbella with Him & Her is a weekly podcast hosted by Talk Radio Europe presenter Hannah Murray (@radiohannah) and her internet marketing husband PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) who live in San Pedro de Alcantara, Marbella. Each week the podcast brings their own sense of humour and banter along with what's been going on in Marbella and their busy social lives. As well as the podcast they also run a successful English guide to San Pedro de Alcantara (@sanpedromarbellaguide) with tons of useful information about the town, where to eat and different events. In this week's episode they speak about Hannah being joined by friends Audrey and Nikki at Bootcamp Pilates Estepona with PJ gladly giving up his space to the girls, having taken quite a few days to recover from his session a couple of weeks ago. Hannah was joined on the radio by her friend Sheila's grandchildren who gave some interesting insights into their expat life in Thailand and what it is like going to school there. Later in the week Hannah did the interview we mentioned last week with Imogen Edward Jones who co-wrote the book about Marilyn Monroe called 'The Last Days of Marilyn Monroe' with James Patterson. She spoke about some of the interesting research that Imogen conducted and whether she had changed her mind from what she thought before writing the book compared to after. Listen to the podcast for more of what she had to say. It was PJ's birthday this week and they discuss some of the presents he received as well as PJ's first brunch visit to Amber Chou, plus their lovely meal out in San Pedro at the restaurant D'Gusto, plus their after drinks at The Hogan Stand (@thehoganstand) and Karaoke back at their house until the early hours of the morning. The following day, despite feeling a bit worse for wear they got up for a couple of meetings about the San Pedro Guide. The first was with an inspirational yoga teacher and reflexologist called Urshi who has set up a studio in San Pedro called Aum Yoga (@aumyogamarbella). After that they met up with the energetic and lovely Lenny who has only just arrived in San Pedro and is already setting up her business called Truth Health and Fitness (@truthhealthandfitnessmarbella) a personal training club on the beach for women who are also welcome to bring their children. Sur in English articles this week included seven things you can do in Ojen, Marbella. Hannah and PJ added another thing which is the geo-caching they did a few months ago. They also discuss the new sports centre being built which will be Europe's larget inclusive sports centre. It was not actually that clear as to what was meant by inclusive as it just says people with functional diversity (they assumed it meant disabilities but were not 100% sure). They chatted about the regions largest inland swimming pool which is in Jaen province, and can accommodate up to 1,200 people. They quickly decided that it is not something they will ever try out but applauded the initative. The final article discussed was Gordon Ramsay's opinion on Spanish wines. They talked about their love of red wine from Spain and comparisons to wine they used to drink before living in Spain. They also mentioned the final of the womens's Euro 2025 and the dilema they face by living in Spain but still supporting England. By the time this podcast was published the winners had already been determined and will be discussed in next weeks Marbella with Him & Her!

Welcome to episode 71 of Marbella with Him & Her, the Marbella podcast they are all talking about!  This week they went on a trip to Seville to see Kylie in concert at the stunning Plaza de España but before they set off, Hannah managed to convince PJ to join her at the Bootcamp Pilates class in Estepona where he had his very first experience of reformer Pilates. Apart from a few awkward positions with feet and arms, all seemed to go quite well...until late that evening when his muscles started to fight back. (@bootcamp_pilates_espana) The Kylie concert was outstanding and the trip to Seville was great fun with a pre-concert tapas crawl, a much needed siesta and then Hannah surprising PJ looking stunning in her gold hotpants, in true Kylie style. The décor is incredible with turquoise and pinks. It is part of a small group that also has venues in Turkey and Dubai and is set to be a popular brunch / lunch venue. (@bazlamakahvalti.es) A notable interview this week was with Maria Bravo (@mariabravo) of the Global Gift Foundation (@globalgiftfoundation). Hannah saw that her friend Nike Ede (@nickede) was hosting the event and he put her in touch with Maria. The Global Gift Foundation is headed up by Maria Bravo and Eva Longoria (@evalongoria) and they work had to raise much needed funds for some charities they have set up for helping children in Vietnam, India and in Marbella with Casa Angeles. Hannah was also very excited to set up an interview with the author of Hotel Babylon, Imogen Edward Jones (@iedwardsjones), who has co-written a book with James Patterson (@jamespattersonbooks) called The Last Days of Marilyn Monroe. Hannah was at another concert on Friday, this time in Fuengirola with a group of girlfriends to see JLo (Jennifer Lopez). It did not all quite go as planned, the details of which are all in this week's podcast. After meeting up with family in The Hogan Stand for brunch, which was a delicious Irish sausage sandwich, they headed off to Malaga to the McAurthur Glen designer outlet (@mcarthurglenmalaga). That evening they were out for their friend Aoife's birthday where they started the evening with Hannah's Hugo cocktails (elderflower cordial, cava, soda water and mint). After drinks they headed into San Pedro town to a wonderful Spanish restaurant called El Cantinero where the waiters and chef come out and sing a Spanish song about the restaurant and San Pedro. Sunday they were out again for lunch at Guayaba with their friends from the UK 'The Broughams' who have arrived for a holiday. This week's Sur in English articles included Malaga no longer being 2030 World Cup venue because of the new stadium plans falling through. They also mention that it is the Virgen de la Carmen festival, who is the patron saint of sailors' and fisherman. Another article they discussed, which actually happened to Hannah on her night out in Fuengirola for the concert. They went to a hotel before the concert for club sandwiches and when they went to pay the bill, they asked, as always when in a group to pay for their portion each. The hotel refused and said that they would only accept one payment. According to the article this is now a thing many establishments are doing. Hear what their thoughts were about this! Finally they also mention a competition that will be running on the San Pedro Guide from nest week with a €50 voucher up for grabs at The Hogan Stand (@thehoganstand). Make sure you follow @sanpedromarbellaguide to see how to enter.

    'Marbella with Her = Breakdown!'

A slightly different episode this week, as PJ (@pjlopez1marbella) is in the UK, so Hannah (@radiohannah) did the podcast on her own! Although PJ sent an audio update of what he's getting up to in the UK.  Hannah talked about a fun interview she did on her radio show with 'accidental middle aged influencer' Lou Featherstone (@luinluland) about her Self Love Revolution.  The morning after PJ left, Hannah was stranded in Estepona with a flat tyre! She was late for her appointment with the beach, but managed to get it all sorted! Her and Amy enjoyed a delicious lunch at Los Espigones, near Puerto Banus.  Hannah hosted two quizzes this week, the weekly one at The Hogan Stand, and her monthly one at Urban Chai. There were some very excited winners...and not even of the quiz! ;) Hannah mentions the list of the 50 Best Restaurants in the World, with Spain being the only country to have 2 in the Top 5!  There is a new service launched on Marbella beaches, where you can call in advance to book assistance to go for a swim in the sea, if you have reduced mobility. What a great service! This is the number 658 618 333 She also praised Alan and Jenny Boardman for their tireless work for the community, raising much needed funds for Cudeca (@fundacioncudeca)

'Lark in the Park' in Marbella

Welcome to episode 66 of 'Marbella with Him & Her', your weekly Marbella lifestyle podcast talking about the beautiful resort we chose to live in Spain. This week is a packed episode full of the many things we have taken part in and enjoyed since last week's podcast. 'He' is PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella), a digital marketing expert in Marbella and 'Her' is Hannah Murray (@radiohannah), a radio presenter on Talk Radio Europe, and a TV presenter on Good Morning Spain. This week we talk about a lovely gathering of friends at the Hogan Stand (@thehoganstand) instigated by JP, who decided he just want to get his friends toegther for some food, fun and laughter. Hannah had her epic beach day with a friend on Sunday, which involved a little bit of Sangria and some great food at one of their favourite summer beach venues in San Pedro, Guayaba (@guayababeach). Meanwhile PJ went down with a case of shingles and has been on medication for the week. Having spent a few weeks changing eating habits, cutting back on drinking and doing more exercise, he ended up getting shingles! It meant he didn't go to the office or the quiz in case anyone hadn't had chickenpox before. Hannah also chats about the lovely Irish goodies that the students currently doing some work experience at the radio station brought over from Dublin. This week's TV fliming for Good Morning Spain (@goodmorningspaintv) involved Nikki as she had come over to Marbella for a few days and was staying with Hannah and PJ. They went for breakfast before filming at a great little cafe called Gunayadin. Later in the week while PJ was still confined to home, Hannah went to Malaga port to meet up with some of Sheila's family who had stopped at the port on their cruise. They had lunch and champagne at a tapas bar in the port called Toro, A Taste of Spain. Notable interviews Hannah did this week on her radio show on TRE (@talk_radio_europe) included Kate Muir about her book 'How To Have A Midlife Crisis' and Anthea Stevens who suffers from Cerebral palsy who has written a book called 'What's Done Can't be Undone'. The weekend was very much about the International Theatre Studio's (@internationaltheatrestudio) Lark in the Park. On Sunday, while PJ headed to the park to set up the sound and lights, Hannah took some special time with her dad for father's day by taking him for breakfast to Hustle n Flow in San Pedro (@hustlenfloweatery). Later it was what all the rehearsals has all been about. The play for Lark in the Park in Benahavis this year was written by Sheila Mellor, Sandra Mole and Kate Jackson, called The Val Hala Fashion Show. It was a funny tongue in cheek fashion show set in Marbella hosted by presenter one (an Amanda Holden type character) played by Hannah and presenter 2 (a camp and very bitchy man called Graham) played by PJ. After many difficult rehearsals, it all came together on the night with great feedback from the audience. The Del Sol Singers choir also performed some songs which had the audience singing and dancing along to, and the evening was topped off by Karen Danzig singing some great tunes and getting everyone up on their feet dancing.

Singing in La Sala, & Friends in Madrid

Welcome to Marbella with Him & Her, your weekly Marbella podcast that talks about our lives in Marbella and other things going on throughout the week. Hannah is a radio presenter on Talk Radio Europe as well as a TV contributor on Good Morning Spain. She also runs a weekly quiz at The Hogan Stand Irish Pub in San Pedro. PJ is a digital marketing specialist working with many top real estate agents and developers on the coast. They are both keen amateur actors belonging to the International Theatre Studio where PJ is also the vice president. Their Marbella podcast covers the many things they get up to during the week as well as interesting information and chats about articles in the Sur in English, restaurants, beach clubs and trips they have embarked upon. This week we start with the choir that Hannah belongs to called ‘The Del Sol Singers’ and their first gig of the season at La Sala in Puerto Banus (@lasalabanus). It was a charity event in aid of a very worthy cause, The Sienna Elizabeth Rose Legacy, which supports families that have had babies born 'asleep'. Needless to say, there was not a dry eye in the house (both the audience and the choir). On Friday, Hannah and PJ hit the road at 8.30 am for a major road trip to Madrid to go to the 'Friends Experience', which is essentially a full re-creation of the entire set from Joey and Chandler's flat to Central Perk. It was an incredible experience so check out the podcast for all the details. They stayed about 2 hours south of Madrid in a place called Ciudad Real, where the famous Manchego cheese originates. Hear their thoughts on the city and the food! PJ has been whipping up some more interesting salads and hear about his Guinness milkshake. Sur in English articles this week include a chat about a fungus that is affecting vineyards across Malaga and beyond. They also chat about Spain having some of the best pizza restaurants outside of Italy. Hannah was also very excited to see that Mijas is getting some tuktuks to replace the cruel use of donkeys to trandsport tourists. In fact, she is even considering volunteering to drive it. Talking of tuktuks Hannah was also thrilled to see that last weeks episode of Race Across The World ended the leg in Goa and in the Grand Hyatt Hotel where she and Nikki stayed for a couple of days after their Indian adventure. As always you can follow Hannah Murray on Instagram @radiohannah and PJ Lopez @pjlopez1marbella.

Marbella bugs and Hannah does DIY

Welcome to the latest episode of Marbella with Him & Her, your weekly lifestyle podcast from Marbella brought to you by Hannah Murray (@radiohannah) and PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella), two expats who moved to Marbella in 2003 and live in the beautiful town of San Pedro de Alcantara. This week there has been a bit of illness doing the rounds in the area which resulted in lots of cancelled plans. Hannah only made it to one exercise class and didn't meet her father for their weekly brunch as he is now recovering from a nasty bug. Earlier in the week Hannah put her DIY skills to the test when she found there was a leaking pipe under the sink. She also went Karcher mad, hosing down the bedroom terrace, the back terrace and the front garden. Hannah was also thrilled to have interviewed Simon Tolken who is the grandson of JRR Tolken (author of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings). She really enjoyed chatting to him and it will be included in her TRE Book Show very soon. She also chatted to Michael Obiora, who was a child actor in Grange Hill who also had a great role as the receptionist in Hotel Babylon. On Friday PJ and Hannah both joined the Friday Frolics group for dinner at Bombay Grill Indian restaurant where they both chose healthier options for a change and refrained from going out afterwards. This is part of PJ making some small lifestyle adjustments after having a random blood pressure test after a recent golf tournament and finding it was higher than it should be. Find out what adjustments have been made and what it has done to his blood pressure within a week. Sur in English articles this week they talk about are the speeding up of the building of the first Costco in Malaga and details of the Bar FM in Granada that was featured in the list of the best informal restaurants on the continent for a 4th year in a row.
