by Mesh
Mesh is a native New Yorker musician/graffiti artist born and raised in the heart of the city. Diverting some of his creative energies to music from graffiti, Mesh attempts to paint with sound. Mesh first released music on the highly influential Profile Records. Mesh then parlayed his talents into song composition, performance and production, combining his wide interests in all musical forms. His music has been featured on the HBO series Entourage, used on MTV, and remixed by Z-Trip ("Hipsters Are The New Jocks"). Where letters as pictures fail, words and music suffice. Suffice it to say, Mesh is on a mission to merge all the experiences of his life into one succinct representative sonic output, therefore, thus: MESH (Note: Not to be confused with like-titled U.K.-based electro-pop group, Mesh), music representing an outgrowth of g

Foodie
About the ludicrous obsession with food, the song ”Foodie” skewers the plain idiocy of thinking food is something to be put on a pedestal and talked about with awe. As some reserve the humorless, quiet whisper-like attention to food, Mesh makes fun of this humorless, over-earnest trend. While your next door neighbor soaks his feet in his next batch of fresh chutney for that farm to table taste, Mesh points out the silliness of pretending that we are even talking about an art-form. Does food make you cry, does it make you angry, does it make you mournful. It has a flat emotional value, therefore Not Art. Silly, yes. A craft, with a nice spectrum of flavors to add, but it’s not art. If it was art, how could I simply train my employee to cook the same dish over and over after it was made. It’s a recipe. A creative craft. For me a big laugh. For you too? Or are you also thinking it’s mad cool? Trust me, I like and appreciate a good dish - even an exotic one. But this shit’s ripe for the mocking. Enjoy! Love- Mesh
