Ep.45 😬Rethink the fuel behind your money choices right now!
Here is the rewrite:What if the reason you keep stopping and restarting with money has nothing to do with discipline — and everything to do with the fuel you've been using? You already know what you need to do. Track your spending. Save more. Stop the impulse purchases. Stick to the budget. You know. And yet — by Wednesday, the plan falls apart.I lived this. The Monday reset. The Wednesday collapse. The guilt. The "I'll try again next week." For years, I believed the problem was me — that I just didn't have enough discipline, enough commitment, enough willpower to make it work.It wasn't until I started learning differently that everything changed. Not by trying harder. But by understanding what was really driving my choices all along. What changed everything was one realization: motivation is not a feeling you wait for. It is a choice you make.In this solo episode, I'm sharing one of the most misunderstood patterns in personal finance — the willpower trap. It's the start-stop cycle that keeps so many hardworking women stuck despite their best intentions. And it is not a character flaw. It is a system problem.Drawing on the research of Brené Brown, the teachings of my coach Brad Bizjak, and the framework of Brendon Burchard's The Motivation Manifesto, I walk you through the 3-pillar system that replaced white-knuckling with something that actually works — and actually lasts. In this episode, we talk about:Why willpower is the weakest fuel source for long-term financial changeWhat Brené Brown's research reveals about how real change happensThe phone battery analogy — taught by Brad Bizjak — that explains why you're running on empty by 8 PMThe difference between managing money from fear vs. from freedomThe 3-pillar system: Environmental Architecture, Compounding Repetition, and Directional RecalibrationHow the Weekly Money Moment can transform your relationship with money from dread to calm leadershipIf you've ever felt like you know exactly what to do — but can't seem to make it stick — this episode was made for you.The gap between knowing and doing is not a character flaw. It is a system problem. And systems can be fixed.Follow me on SocialStrasburg Coaching on Facebook@madstrascoach on Instagram@madstrascoach on TikTok

Ep.44 ⭐ Why Some Women Change Their Finances for Good with Ginger Faith
What if the life you want financially actually begins with healing your identity? In this deeply personal conversation, I sit down with real estate broker, investor, and entrepreneur Ginger Faith. With more than 30 years in real estate, Ginger has built wealth through rental properties, business ownership, and strategic investing. But her story didn’t start there.Ginger grew up in an extremely difficult environment — raised by a single mother struggling with alcoholism and schizophrenia. As a teenager, she carried the responsibility of helping hold her family together while trying to make sense of the world around her. What changed everything was one decision: she became a learner. From reading personal development books to discovering mindset training and real estate investing, Ginger slowly rebuilt her foundation. Over time, she learned something powerful: money alone doesn’t fix your life. But when used intentionally, it can create the space you need to grow, heal, and build a meaningful lifestyle. In this episode, we talk about:• How learning became Ginger’s “superpower.” • Why identity shifts are often the key to financial change • How real estate allowed her to create time freedom • The role faith and spiritual growth played in rebuilding her life • Why designing your lifestyle matters more than building an empireIf you’ve ever felt like your past defines your financial future, this conversation will remind you that a new foundation can always be built.Money may be the tool, but transformation begins within.Follow me on SocialStrasburg Coaching on Facebook@madstrascoach on Instagram@madstrascoach on TikTok

👍🐸 A Better Frog To Eat? - 12 ways to Maximize your Get-Done-Today list

Ep.42💡 Reset Your Finances Without Panic —Even in a Hard Season
Feeling crushed by rising costs and shrinking paychecks? In this episode, I walk you through the exact 3-step strategy I used during a financially tight season and how you can apply it to your own life starting today, while maintaining emotional stability. 3-Step Strategy ✨ Step 1: Pause and don’t panic. Pausing can help us avoid rash decisions and allow the problem-solving part of the brain to engage. You can do the same — when you feel overwhelmed, stop, breathe, and look at the facts. This reminds you of what things are in your control and helps you decide the next steps. ✨ Step 2: Cut non-essentialsWhat are the items or services that you could cut out, for now, or try to find a more budget-friendly option to replace the one that is weighing down your budget? ✨ Step 3: Get creative with solutions. Can't cut much? Negotiating or doing some research can help you get a better rate on items that support the life and well-being of your family. Find creative ways to stretch your resources — maybe it’s adjusting frequency, bundling services, or trading with friends. There’s often more flexibility than we first think. 🎧 By following these three steps — pause, cut, and negotiate, and being creative — you can face tight times with confidence, clarity, and action.Follow me on SocialStrasburg Coaching on Facebook@madstrascoach on Instagram@madstrascoach on TikTok

Ep.41 ➡️💥 Retrain Your Negative Biased Brain for Financial Gains Today!

In this episode, we explore the concept of negative bias—our brain’s natural tendency to focus more on the bad than the good—how it shows up in our financial lives, and how you can retrain your brain to see more of the good to support your financial journey. 🔑 Key Highlights:Three thought errors keeping you stuck financially: “I’m bad with money,” “I need to earn more to save,” and “Budgeting is stressful.”Biblical wisdom and mindset shifts to replace scarcity with spiritual confidence and clarity.A simple visual exercise using your photo gallery to rewire your brain for gratitude and progress.Whether you're battling thought patterns like “I’ll never be good with money” or need a reminder that your past doesn’t define your future, this episode will inspire you to take control and transform your financial mindset.Follow me on SocialStrasburg Coaching on Facebook@madstrascoach on Instagram@madstrascoach on TikTok

Ep.32 BEFORE Establishing your Financial Goals Pay Attention to this
In this week's episode, we discuss the importance of balance in various aspects of our lives as a foundation for establishing our vision and achieving financial well-being.Drawing from my study with Professor Pedro Calabrês' current course - "Intelligence for Results Formation," we explore the seven recommended balances we should aim for to increase our success in making progress in life, including becoming good with money and achieving financial freedom and prosperity. Here are the 7 areas that he (and science) recommend we need to take care of first so that we can perform at our best:Circadian RhythmMovement (and Exercise)NutritionalEmotionalInterpersonalIntellectualSpiritualWhat caught my attention the most was the circadian rhythm, of which I had no knowledge before his classes. He emphasizes the impact of maintaining a consistent daily routine aligned with the sun's cycle — meal times, waking up and sleeping at approximately the same time, exercising and moving, and getting some sunlight. We also highlight the value of surrounding ourselves with supportive relationships and engaging in activities that challenge and stimulate personal growth, which will directly affect the health of our minds. We encourage you to reflect on your habits and attitudes, identifying areas for improvement to enhance your overall well-being so that you can progressively become the person you want to be. The best part is that, by prioritizing these seven balances, we will cultivate a more harmonious and purposeful life, not only in our financial life but also in our overall happiness.Follow me on SocialStrasburg Coaching on Facebook@madstrascoach on Instagram@madstrascoach on TikTok

Ep.30 Bridging the Gap to Your Financial Success
No matter how much we talk about goals, if you use an achievement-only approach, your results will most likely not last. Scientific studies prove that the most successful approach for lasting results is having a compelling reason and focusing on who you want to become, your identity. Researchers like Dr. Edwin Locke, Dr. Barry Goldman, Dr. Gary Latham, and even author James Clear have concluded that personal identity goals strategies support successful behavior change and goal achievement (Goldman, Masterson, Locke, et al., 2002). In this week's episode, we discussed a simple 3-way approach designed to help you better set your goals for becoming good with money and achieving financial prosperity. This approach starts with who you want to become and your vision for the future; then, we look at who you are right now and then what strategies we need to use to bridge the gap. These three simple yet powerful steps that can transform your vision into reality:There: Visualize your future financial goals. Who is the person who has the results you want to achieve? Now: Take a moment to reflect on yourself today. What are your habits? How do you use your time? What are your emotional and behavioral patterns? The Bridge: Now, identify what you need to change to become who you want to be: the person who has the financial results you desire. We invite you to take some time to complete this exercise. In this week's episode of "The Money is Not Your Problem Podcast," we delve into the journey of Maren Rasmussen, a certified life coach from St. George, Utah. Maren opens up about her upbringing, which, despite outward appearances of affluence, was shadowed by underlying beliefs inherited from generations past.Growing up, Maren witnessed her parents' struggles with scarcity, stemming from their own impoverished backgrounds. Despite their efforts to provide a comfortable life for their family, the fear of not having enough lingered, subtly influencing every financial decision. One poignant memory Maren recalls is her mother's reaction to finding holes in her socks—an embarrassment rooted in the fear of appearing less than well-off. These moments left Maren feeling conflicted as she grappled with the disparity between outward appearances and internal anxieties about money. As Maren matured, so did her understanding of the complexities surrounding wealth and abundance. Through her life coach work, she explored the connection between energy, mindset, and financial well-being. She realized that true abundance goes beyond material wealth—it's about shifting beliefs and embracing a mindset of abundance.Maren's journey towards financial empowerment was not without its challenges. Ep. 26 Gratitude and Giving: The Heart of Thanksgiving
In our special Thanksgiving bonus episode, we share and celebrate stories of giving and receiving. As we recount these experiences, we're reminded of the deep sense of gratitude that we feel, whether we're extending a helping hand or graciously accepting one. Our episode is filled with varied and heartwarming stories from friends and family, painting a clear picture of how small acts of kindness can profoundly touch lives. As a host, I also share personal stories of giving that are dear to my heart. Finally, we reflect on the ultimate act of love – Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father's sacrifice for us. This segment provides a profound backdrop to our discussions, reminding us of the foundational values of giving and gratitude. We also would like to emphasize the importance of gratitude, especially in its role in financial well-being. Remember that true contentment and gratitude, recognizing and appreciating what we have, are crucial for financial happiness, regardless of the extent of our possessions. Here is a powerful thought: "Contentment is not about getting what we want, but recognizing and appreciating what we already have. Gratitude transforms our possessions into more than enough, bringing order from chaos and clarity from confusion. It helps us make sense of our past, find peace in the present, and build a vision for the future." This quote beautifully ties together the themes of the episode, showing the importance of carrying the spirit of Thanksgiving beyond the holiday and into every aspect of our lives as fuel for financial and personal growth journeys.Follow me on SocialStrasburg Coaching on Facebook@madstrascoach on Instagram@madstrascoach on TikTok

In this episode of the Money is Not Your Problem podcast, I share with you practical strategies to prepare financially for Christmas and avoid the stress that often comes with it.In the past two weeks, I've shared numerous tips on Instagram stories to help you survive the holiday season, and today, I've chosen my top five tips to get you ready for it. 1. Set a Clear Budget: Determine how much you can reasonably spend on Christmas, including gifts, decorations, and festivities. Ensure it aligns with your financial situation to avoid post-holiday stress.2. Make a Gift List (and Check it Twice): List out everyone you plan to buy a gift for and allocate a portion of your budget to each person. If necessary, don’t hesitate to shorten your list.3. Save and Pay in Cash: Start saving money in advance and aim to pay for all your Christmas expenses in cash. This approach helps in avoiding credit card debt and encourages mindful spending.4. Shop Smart: Keep an eye out for sales, compare prices, and be wary of impulse purchases. Ensure you're getting the best bang for your buck.5. Stick to Your Plan: Once you have a budget and a plan, stick to it. Avoid last-minute additions and stay true to your financial boundaries. And a bonus tip as we wrap up today’s episode: start preparing for next Christmas as soon as this one ends. Set up a sinking fund, contribute monthly, and by the time the next holiday season rolls around, you'll be in a much better financial position.Remember, the joy of Christmas comes from the love and warmth we share, not from the price tags on the gifts we give. Ep.20 Unveiling the Vital yet Underutilized Aspect of Achieving Our Goals
Welcome to the third and final episode of our three-part series on Goals. In the first episode, we delved into the significance of having a compelling reason that drives us to persist even when faced with obstacles and a lack of motivation. We discussed the power of focusing on the person we aspire to become, as opposed to short-term and isolated projects. By anchoring our goals in our identity, we substantially enhance our potential for continuous progress. We stressed the importance of forming the habit of consistently defining and working towards our goals. This habit, where one goal's completion ushers in the next, acts as a catalyst for our growth journey. In the previous episode, we explored the four stages of goal-setting that we can follow to attain our ambitions and shape our identity:1. **Imagination or Dreaming**2. **Planning**3. **Execution**4. **Progress Tracking**We emphasized the significance of not skipping steps or altering their sequence to maximize the likelihood of achieving our desired outcomes. There are two types of goals we can set, always keeping in mind that our objective is personal improvement:1. **Habit Goals** - those daily-life incorporations we desire.2. **Achievement Goals** - specific accomplishments we aim for.In this final episode, we'll delve into the most pivotal aspect of success regarding goal achievement and ongoing progress.Often, people lack a structured system for tracking their progress. Failing to do this regularly and with frequency results in forgetting goals, neglecting necessary adjustments (time, resources, steps, tasks, motivation), and neglecting whether the goal remains relevant or essential. Worst of all, they fail to acknowledge and celebrate incremental successes. These small victories trigger dopamine release in the brain, reinforcing positive associations with actions, even when challenging, thus keeping us on track. We recommend:1. Daily Review2. Weekly Review3. End-of-Goal Review (for Achievement Goals) or Scheduled Date Review (for Habit Goals)What we focus on, grows.Regularly review your goals, and watch your progress accelerate.Follow me on SocialStrasburg Coaching on Facebook@madstrascoach on Instagram@madstrascoach on TikTok

By using our identity as a foundation for setting goals, we significantly increase our chances of continuous progress. We highlighted the significance of developing the habit of defining and working on our goals consistently. Completing one goal and moving on to another routinely helps propel our growth. In this episode, we explore the four phases of goal-setting that we can follow to achieve what we aspire to become:1. Imagine or Dream2. Plan3. Execute4. Track Progress (Tracking or Evaluation)We discuss the importance of not skipping steps or altering their order to enhance the likelihood of achieving our desires. We cover the two types of goals we can set, always keeping in mind that the objective is to focus on our identity and becoming better individuals - better parents, better professionals, better friends, neighbors, and church members, which are: 1. Habit Goals - something we wish to incorporate into our daily lives.2. Ep.18 What You Want and Who You Want to Become
Welcome to the first episode of our three-part podcast series on goal setting. In this episode, we delve into a crucial goal-setting aspect: framing it as becoming your identity rather than solely focusing on achievements. We start by debunking the myth that we must wait until the year's beginning to set goals. Just like any other habit, goal setting can become a part of our daily lives. Once we establish the routine of setting goals, there's no need to wait for a specific date to embark on transforming our lives.Defining who you want to become is the key to sustaining motivation during challenging times. When things get tough, knowing your desired identity acts as a powerful driving force to keep you on track toward your goals.Next, we explore an effective exercise: creating a list of things you want, evaluating your current habits and possessions, and then redeciding what you want to keep, eliminate, or develop. This exercise helps you align your actions with your dreams and the person you aspire to be.To support you in this journey, we provide worksheets that were used during a workshop in this episode. These worksheets serve as valuable tools to help you map out your goals and navigate your path toward personal growth.Tune in to our next episode, where we'll delve deeper into the process of setting specific and meaningful goals. Remember, it's not just about the destination; it's about the person you become along the way. Ep.14 Failures and mistakes are not who you are with CFM Carolyn Emond
The audio for this week's episode is not great, BUT if you can deal with it, you will learn how someone who understands that YOU ARE NOT your mistakes or failures progresses and grow. She is an example of someone who can learn from all her experiences and how to continue evolving without the guilt, shame, and pity parties that we usually throw ourselves when we make something that does not turn out how we planned or is unexpected. Ep.12 Combining Money Views in Marriage with CFM Julie Orrock
One of the most important conversations to have before getting married is about MONEY. The 2nd cause of divorce in America is money fights and money problems. Knowing how your spouse deals with money, what they think about debt, financing and their spending and saving habits will save a lot of resentment and frustration in the marriage. It is possible to move forward even if one of the spouses is not as committed to a plan or to a specific method as the others. The way to increase the chances of agreement and peace is to have a shared vision what you both want for the finances part of your life and for dealing with money in your marriage. Julie Orrock has been a long-time support and partner to her husband in their several small businesses. Their conversation about money started while they were dating and continues to this day. In this interview, you will hear about the lessons she learned from her childhood home, making decisions with David and teaching ( and accepting) their children's financial decisions. Ep. 8 - Seeing More of Christ in Our Lives
Many people in the world struggle to see Jesus Christ in their lives.Have you ever felt you've been trying your best to do all the "right things" like going to Church, reading the scriptures, loving and caring for your family, and being kind to others, yet you can't seem to see him working in your life or can't feel His presence?Though we know God's power is incredible, he will not force us to do anything.Once we make a conscious choice to believe, we can see Christ in our lives if we look for Him.Once you decide to believe and focus on increasing your spiritual capacity, you will then be able to recognize God's hands in your everyday life.As we increase our capacity to see Christ in our lives, we will feel His love more abundantly. And, just like one of my favorite coaches out there, Natalie Clay, says, love is the best feeling of them all. Ep.6 How to Become a Chief Financial Mom
Thoughts from The EpisodeThe chief financial officer of a company or organization is assigned the primary responsibility for managing the company finances, analyzing data, and recommending corrections. While many mothers did not set out to become financial officers in their homes, for one reason or another, they might want or need to become one because of their family or life circumstances.By developing certain qualities, you can excel at it and become the most financially savvy woman: a Chief Financial Mom.You get to decide what you will do with your time, how you are going to respond, and when you want to make changes in your life. The past only affects you by how you continue to think about it. You can change the narrative and how you tell that story. The most important thing determining your success as a Chief Financial Mom is how you manage your brain. Most people desire results in their lives but are not 100% committed to accomplishing them. The more aligned you are with the vision for your family and the importance of handling your finances well, the more commitment you'll have and the more motivated you'll be to continue through obstacles and failures.Click here to access the How to Become a Chief Financial Mom class recording or here for a summary of the 9 Characteristics of a Chief Financial Mom. Ep.4 12 Things You Need to do to NEVER Worry About Money Again
Thoughts from The EpisodeIn a 2019 eMoney Advisor survey of 2,500 U.S. adults, more than half (57%) admitted to avoiding money talk with their friends purposefully, and almost two-thirds (63%) stated they've never worked with a financial advisor.Even among spouses, many people avoid talking about money. When one person in a relationship has had bad luck with money - massive credit card debt, a business deal gone bad, bankruptcy - it can be difficult for the couple to move into a healthy financial relationship. No matter where you are in your journey, if you manage your mind, you can help others around you, not only your kids, in their journey. When you believe that you are improving and that you are capable of learning and making changes when necessary, you increase your chances of actually taking steps to get better with your money and positively affecting other areas in your life.If you want a copy of the 12 Things You Need to do to NEVER Worry About Money Again Checklist discussed in this episode, make sure to go to my website!https://www.strasburgcoaching.com/checklistReliashield Identity Theft Protection Will and Power of Attorney - US Legal FormsFollow me on SocialStrasburg Coaching on Facebook@madstrascoach on Instagram@madstrascoach on TikTok

Ep.3 Brooke Castillo and The Model
Thoughts from The EpisodeHow we think about things determines how we feel about things. How we feel about things determines what we do. What we do or don't do creates our results. The sum of the results creates our lives. As a man "thinketh in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7)The power of this process is in first recognizing the thinking we may not be aware of and understanding how we are creating our own experience with our own thinking. We don't need to believe everything that our brain offers us. A thought download is a five-ten minute free-writing exercise in which you empty your brain onto a piece of paper, one sentence after another, without editing. We use the model to feel better, to create results, to become conscious, to think more deliberately, to create what you want in life, to become aware of negative thinking and emotions, and to create positive thinking and emotions on purpose.Get T.Harv Eker's Secrets of the Millionaire Mind here.Get Allison Fallon's The Power of Writing it Down here.(paid links)Follow me on Instagram @MadStrasCoachand on Facebook @StrasburgCoachingGet a copy of the Thought Download form here.Do you need help with your finances or your mindset?
