Now Moodslingerz are urban music curators who showcase independent artists music, gives album reviews and info on upcoming shows. Darren Divine along with his partner Chris "Wyze 9" Thomas started the website Moodslingerz.com for the showcasing of artists which includes a 24 hr radio station and info on upcoming events with these artists. So Moodslingerz Magazine podcast was started as a promo arm to the website and Moodslingerz Monologues is a continuation of that format.

In this episode of Moodslingerz Monologues hosts Chris "wyze nine" Thomas & Darren "D.Divine" discuss the current environment of independent labels and majors labels trying to create a monopoly on distribution. The hosts analyze if a recording artist wanted to release their music independently, would it be possible the way the current structure is set up. They also go in depth with one distributor who's contract clause wouldn't be favorable for the artist. Also how would the music industry survive with all the predatory practices still in effect.

He also has a non profit organization called life thru music where he works with fellow educators, students, and community leaders using the genre of Hip Hop as a medium to communicate life lessons. In the interview we discussed statics in the school system that affects society today, and why his non profit is doing it part to shape those numbers. Plus the importance of teaching modern day students by being relatable and constructive! Episode 2 covers the trending stories of Hip Hop for this past year. The Drake/Kendrick Lamar saga, Albums released by veteran rappers, the legal issues of Sean "P.Diddy" Combs, and the documentary that followed put out by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. The relevancy of the genre being that it didn't chart any new songs in the top 40. Plus other honorable mentions. It was a year of of significant highs and lows, so this segment covers the big events that happened.
