In the Computing for College and Careers class, Sara selected the topic of how fashion has changed from the 1950's to now. We are celebrating the Cocoa Beach High School 50th graduating class.

Alexa is a senior in the 50th graduating class at Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr HS. This is her first movie introducing our class and showing how society has changed in 50 years.

New Academy student Melissa talks about joining the Academy. She learned about the program in Keyboarding class and liked the idea of the trips and guest speakers. Melissa is ready to start networking and learning about business for her future.

Academy student Megan researched her favorite entrepreneur Walt Disney. She tells the history of how he started with animation and then began a studio in California. Megan added the music "When you wish upon a star" which adds to the magic of her work.

In this podcast, Vidya selected global entrepreneur Walt Disney to talk about his imaginary world and amazing vision to build Disney Studios and Disneyland. She talks about the history of these theme parks and the creative talent of his career.

In this podcast, senior JJ talks about his experience as Treasurer of the Academy and FBLA as well as his hobbies and sports. He says his goals for the year if elected President are to make fundraisers fun and to increase awareness at school of the Academy. He would like to increase membership also.

Vince, a senior in the Academy, tells about the classes he has taken in the Academy and how he has learned so much about starting a business. He also talks about attending a college like Full Sail University to specialize as a music engineer and then start his own record label in the future.

Our new Academy Secretary Kaila, talks about why she joined the Academy and how much she learns on field trips and from our guest speakers. She then tells about her desire to attend Miami or UCF and to become a clinical psychriatrist.

We had 5 students record a podcast about how much they use technology at home and at Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High School with Mrs. Friedlander. They give many examples of how they learn with hands-on experience in Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint. They talk about their electronic portfolios, Facebook for school clubs and making movies. Students also use new clickers in other classes to learn and have fun at the same time.

Kennedy, this year's Academy President, talks about her interview at the Port Authority and all the forms and tests she had to complete before finally being hired. She then describes her position with the Director of Marketing and tells of all the work experience she got this summer.

Danielle is a 6th grader in Mrs. Duschl's class at Suntree Elementary. She participated in an event sponsored by the University of South Florida called Florida Students Podcasting about Technology. The event was held across Florida on Saturday, April 25th, 2009. Danielle wrote a script about using Moviemaker, PowerPoint and other tools to create book reports and lessons about grammar.
