Taking a slower approach with heartbreak and diving deep into vulnerability. Avril Lavigne is showing more of her range, and this album took a while to write because it came from deep within her soul.

Exploring more of her party and preppy side. She wanted to let her fans know she could do more than pop-punk and rock.

It’s one of her very emotional albums with a rock twist. Exploring more of her vulnerable side about heartbreak. Adding more guitars to sadder songs makes the songs sound like her style. It may be my favorite album out of the discography.

Avril Lavigne is setting the stage with her debut album and image, letting the world know she is the real deal at 17, writing from personal experience, and connecting with a wide range of people.
