    A breton tune in E minor played on a tremolo in D. I've heard this tune played by The Chieftains and Carlos Nunez. You can play this tune on a G or a D harp because there is no C and C# in the melody so just take you favorite harp and let's go !

    The Flanagan Brother's Jig

    I've heard this jig on Jean Sabot's album "Harmonica & Fiddle". It's a four parts jig played on a Tremolo in D. the third part is in B minor and it makes a nice transition between the others in D major. Hope you enjoy !

    Ballygow Reel

    This reel was composed by Phil Murphy, a great harmonica player from Ireland. He played this reel with another of his composition "the trip to Cullenstown". It's in C major so it can be easily played on C Paddy harmonica. You can find more irish harmonica on the Cd "The Trip to Cullenstown" by the Murphy Family, Phil, John and Pip murphy who all play harmonica.

    Le reel Joseph

    This reel is played on a Tombo tremolo in D by Bruno Kowalczyk from Quebec. Here is a little word from him about this tune : "C'est un reel du bas du fleuve (c'est à dire en allant vers l'embouchure ; pour les français...on parle du Saint Laurent). Il a été composé par le grand joueur de "p'tit accordéon, Marcel Messervier (de Montmagny). Ce reel est une dédicace à son père. Ca s'appelle "Le reel Joseph".

    Morning Star

    Here is a reel played by Brendan Power. The Morning Star is in G major and Brendan plays it fast then slower. Brendan is a very good harmonica player and plays irish music with very nice ornamentation. I would recommend you to buy his album "New Irish Harmonica".     This tune is a popular slide in G major with 3 parts. I've heard this tune on the "Planxty" album, there is a nice version with lilting on The Chieftains 3

    I've heard this tune on the Jean Sabot's album. There is a nice version on Michael Rooney & June McCormack album : Draíocht. I play this jig in B minor.

    It's a nice polka played here in G major also known as Memories of Ballymote. I've heard this tune on the Phil, John And Pip Murphy's cd. There is a nice version on the One album from the Chieftains.

    This tune is a Laride from Pays Vannetais in Britanny. You can hear this tune on the Kornog's album : Kornog IV.

    A reel also known as Kerry Reel. Terry was an accordion player from Kerry. I've learned this reel from Lunasa.

    I've learned this set from Eddie Clarke's Unheard CD, i play each tune one time. The first jig is in E minor and the second one in G major.

    The Boys of Bluehill

    A popular Hornpipe in D. The Hornpipe refers to several dances played in Britain in the 17th Century. This one is easy to learn for beginners on a D Paddy Richter for example. There is a nice version on the Colm O'Donnell's album : "Farewell to Evening Dances".

    The Costarmorican & Otter's nest

    Two reels played by Jean Sabot from his next CD. The first reel is a composition and the second one is a traditional tune. These tunes are a good example about ornamentation on harmonica.     Drag her round the road

    I've learned this reel from Brendan Power's cd : "New Irish Harmonica". I play it in E minor, so you can learn it on a G harmonica. You can find a nice version of this reel on the Matt Molloy, Paul Brady and Tommy Peoples cd or on The Kinnitty Sessions from Lunasa.

    The Connaughtman's Rambles is a very popular jig. This tune is played in almost every sessions ! You can listen to a nice version in Seamus Ennis' cd "The Bonny Bunch of Roses".
