Having a foreign background is cool and people may want to ask what are you from, but when it's on the professional level, you sometimes can't help but wonder what is the motive behind the question, "Where are you from?". Actor, director, and writer Cynthia Ashperger understands that very well. Being from Croatia, she welcomes people asking her about her background in daily life, but on the professional level? Not so much.

Statistics plays a role in just about every field of science, and bad statistics will lead to bad science. In psychology and medicine in particular, we are now seeing the consequences to sloppy statistics in the form of the replication crisis. In a single minute, Jenna Dakin’s life disappeared. She suffered a stroke in December of 2021. The stroke left her half paralyzed, it caused her speech and cognitive deficits, and she lost most of her memories.
