Taken from the Abatron Original Soundtrack. #Gameaudio single release. "March For The Core" is part of the encounter/battle playlist within Abatron (in a shorter version of course). As a reference, the doom soundtrack was presented to me. Obviously this doesn't sound like Doom, but that was not the goal. We ended up agreeing on a very industrial-esque soundtrack, but leaning more towards the 90s, wich was dominated by bands like Ministry or Nine Inch Nails. My suggestion was to have it like that, because the game doesn't have the clean and polished feeling to it, and it could be used in the music by having not so "clean" music in there as well.

Inspired by the Horus Heresy (a Warhammer 40k book series). The marines gather inside the hangar of a huge spaceship in preperation to invade the planet below. There are no more thoughts about what has been and what lead to this war inside this ship. The only thoughts are about the brothers who share the same destiny. The next order is to load the droppods. Minutes later the invasion begins. 'Prelude' is a piece written in three acts. Segment one (intro) carries some hope and paints a somewhat lovely picture to the listener, before act 2 kicks in with a melancholic melodie underscored with a deep synthesizer sequence. Act 3 is all about raising up with heavy hits and scratchy strings, in preperation for the things that are about to come.
