    The Rise of Skywalker

Nerd Caster finally reviews the newest Star Wars movie The Rise of Skywalker. Joe, Justin, and Mike meet up on Skype to bring their thoughts on the newest and final movie revolving around the Skywalker lineage. The team takes a deep dive into a breakdown of the many characters and how they helped move (or didn’t) the story along. Does this newest title live up to the hype or does it fall flat? Is it better than The Last Jedi or The Force Awakens? Dare I say, could it even be better than some of the Original Trilogy (OT) movies? To find out, take a listen to see what we thought. The biggest thing we talk about though is the many unanswered questions that The Rise of Skywalker leaves behind and our thoughts on the most likely answers. After we dive into all things The Rise of Skywalker we also talk about some Mandalorian stuff briefly. Then Justin gives us the breakdown on his broken foot and exactly how it happened. Let us know your thoughts on The Skywalker saga or any of the Star Wars movies over on Facebook or Twitter. Mandalorian Wrap-up

Nerd Caster is back for the first episode of 2020 and the first episode in about 6 weeks! We have recorded in the new studio, so please bear with us as we try to work out some audio issues for future episodes as the acoustics have changed from our last studio. The Mandalorian show on Disney + came to end, and we dive deep into some nerdy conversation about it. Nerd Caster is joined by Watch Squad‘s Wren to bring you our opinions and theories about the show. The team discusses what they thought about the show as a whole and break down certain episodes and characters. With the show only having one season, there is a lot of theories on what Season 2 will bring. Disney+ The Mandalorian

The Nerd Caster show is back! Justin and Joe sit down this week to talk about their travels to Orlando and L.A., Some video games they played, the new Disney + service, and more importantly the new Mandalorian show on said service. So if you haven’t seen the show yet, SPOILERS AHEAD! The two start off talking about their travels. Justin was able to attend Microsoft Ignite in Orlando Florida and got to see some cool new things that Microsoft is coming out within the near future as well as some updates to some other updates to already beloved software. Joe, on the other hand, was out in L.A. attending the Adobe Max conference to update his non-existent skills in Adobe products. It’s not all about work as the two were able to attend some parties and enjoy themselves as well! The show then gets into the meat and potatoes, with Joe and Justin talking about the new Disney + service and their thoughts on release day. They talk about some of the reported “issues” people were experiencing and give their own opinions on their experience. After talking about the service as a whole, it is all about the new Star Wars series The Mandalorian. Only one episode has been released but is it worth watching episode 2? The two hosts round out the show with some video game talk as Joe gives his opinion on the Marvel Alliance 3 game as well as some retro games he played while traveling. Justin talks about the new Call of Duty game and his overall lack of gaming due to travel. What are your thoughts on the new Disney+ Service? Let us know on social media! After the two get into some CW talk, they discuss the future of the Batwoman series as well as the crossover event that is happening later this year. It is not all about DC though as Mike gives his thoughts on the Marvel Defenders making their way over to Disney Plus after being canceled by Netflix. Joker Movie Review

This weeks episode we do a Joker Movie Review, but before we get into that we have a bunch of other stuff to talk about. This week Overwatch released its highly anticipated Halloween Terror Event and we talk about what, if anything, new was added to this year’s event. We also talk about how it dropped the event the same day it was released for the Nintendo Switch. Coincidence? Probably not, but why didn’t Blizzard make that announcement? Maybe it’s because Blizzard has some other issues in regards to the Chinese Government and their players who support the protests. Not sure what we are talking about? Listen in as we touch lightly on the subject. Once all the Blizzard and Overwatch news is out of the way we talk some tech. Google had its annual conference and Justin has some things to say about their announcement of a new phone and other devices. After that, it’s all about the Joker movie featuring Joaquin Phoenix. We talk about what we did like about the movie and what we didn’t. Some key points of focus are: Thomas Wayne How Joker will stand up to Batman The controversial scenes in the movie All that and more in this podcast episode. Halloween Gaming

It’s a full house this week as Justin, Danny, Erica, and Lori all join in on the conversation about Halloween type games. Before we get into all that though, Justin gives some really quick news about his time at New York Comic-Con this past weekend. If you are looking for more about NYCC, then check another podcast because his review is super short. After that, we get talking about video games that are fun to play around the Halloween time frame like Man of Medan and Until Dawn. Most of the conversation is focused around the Playstation 4 exclusive Until Dawn and Man of Medan. Joe, Lori, Erica, and Danny all recently played both games back to back and give their take on which one is better and why. After the full review, the team talks about what they think about the next game in the Dark Pictures Anthology, Little Hope. If you are into scary games then this episode is for you. Since this episode lays the groundwork for Season 2 we discuss what we think is coming up. Not only does the team discuss TITANS but since it’s been a while we talk some video games too. Joe is eager to talk about the Role Queue system Blizzard rolled out for Overwatch, but that leads into more of a discussion about Borderlands 3. The two both have the game and about 10 or so hours into. With only that much time put in, they give their first impressions of the game and address the hatred some fans have of it. Nerdcaster and Justin Vs Justen Team-up Show

This week we mixed things up a bit on Nerd Caster. We sit with one of the two hosts of the Justin Vs Justen show.  Oddly enough his name is Justin, which makes this show a little confusing as the long-awaited Nerd Caster Justin is back as well.  We all got together on our Skype accounts to talk everything from Avengers Endgame (Spoiler Alert) to Raspberry Pi gaming rigs. Justin and Justin give Joe the low down on what they think of Endgame and if they agree with what Lori and Joe said about the movie in the last episode. After that, the show spirals out of control as they jump from topic to topic before rounding back on some theories in Endgame and their overall thoughts. The topic then spins into a conversation about movies altogether and how Joe has (like usual) not seen any of them. The group goes over what two movies that they hate that the rest of the world loves, so be prepared to yell at your listening device when you hear which movies they guys come up with. It’s a fun-filled high energy episode so tune in and subscribe not only to Nerd Caster but Justin vs Justen as well! Avengers Endgame Review

Before reading, not that this podcast and this description WILL contain Spoilers. This week the team took to the movie theater and watched Avengers Endgame, not once but twice.  They dive deep into the movie for this episode and talk about the events of Endgame and what they thought of the movie. Unlike other reviews, the team will not go scene by scene but instead takes more of a look at each of the main characters and their stories. We take a look at Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Cliff Barton, and more in this review and where we think their stories will go from here. That is if they have a story left to tell. Joe and Lori review the time travel aspect of this movie and how it plays an integral part, and how Joe still doesn’t understand the MCU’s rules for time travel. Maybe he will never understand them. At the end (and peppered throughout), the two go into the future of MCU and the theories that they have on if the core Avengers (Stark, Widow, Hawkeye, Cap, Thor, and Hulk) will ever be seen again and where.  In some of the cases, they even go over the “how” we will see them again. If you want to hear about how wrong our original Endgame theories were, listen to the last episode here. Star Wars Ep 9 and Endgame

On this episode of Nerd Caster, Joe and Lori talk about and break down the newest Star Wars Trailer for Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. Not “The Rise of The Skywalker, as we have heard so much.  They go into each scene of the trailer and break down what they think is going on.  They give their theories on where in the plot these scenes may take place and what significance they may have on the overall plot. It’s known that J.J. Abrams loves to put easter eggs in his work so maybe Joe and Lori catch a few. After talking about the Star Wars trailer the duo break down some theories they have about what is going to happen in Avengers: Endgame and who will or won’t make it out alive. Joe has some off the wall theories on who exactly will get the final blow on Thanos.  He goes over some of his theories here but expands on them in this episode of Nerd Caster.
