Playstation is about to launch their most ambitious piece of hardware yet. The PlayStation portal is a brand new portable gaming device from Sony, that will rely on Remote Play, which uses your PlayStation 5 to do the heavy lifting, which then streams the gameplay to your device.

19 Xbox and Bethesda games are officially available via NVIDIA’s cloud gaming platform GeForce Now. Now this news obviously builds on the announcement from February of this year, when Xbox’s Phil Spencer revealed that the company had signed a 10 year agreement with Nvidia that will bring Xbox PC games, Bethesda titles, and Activision Blizzard games to the cloud gaming platform. I recently read Reggie FIls Aime’s book “Disrupt the Game", and in it Reggie uses a phrase to describe designing the Nintendo Switch and that was a Blue Ocean. Which struck me as odd so I did some research and eventually went directly to the source and read another book called Blue Ocean Strategy. In the book they describe Blue Oceans as wide open spaces in business that isn't overcrowded by the competition who are all competing for the same business. Or in Nintendo's case when they launched the Nintendo Switch, the traditional console space that PlayStation and Xbox were competing in alongside Nintendo’s Wii U, was so competitive and oversaturated. That it was very difficult for a third player to compete in, or a RED OCEAN. So as suggested in BLUE Ocean strategy it's better to leave the crowded red oceans, to find some new open blue oceans, where Nintendo can be free to sail at their own pace. In gaming, where is the line between Inspiration and Stealing? And the reason I ask that is, earlier today I jumped on Fortnite and was able to play the 1993 version of DOOM Now in fairness this game was called BOOM! and from what I can tell it was painstakingly built from the ground up using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite. And if you are not aware of what that tool is. The Unreal Editor essentially is a pandora box of creativity for players. All the assets, tools, and skins from Fortnite, are available in this editor allowing users to create unique experiences and original games. And this Editor has revolutionized Fortnite because a game that gained popularity as a battle royale, is now seen as a Metaverse.
