  13. 53

Episode 8: The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons

Only one item on the agenda for episode 8, and that is LoZ: Oracle of Seasons, a Zelda game that might just boast the greatest item in franchise history. If ever the show was to earn its moniker of "deep dive", this episode might be it; so it's best appreciated by those who have played Oracle of Seasons before. Regardless of your exposure though, I hope you enjoy this Retrospective on LoZ Oracle of Seasons. Questions or comments? Send them to [email protected]

  14. 52

    Episode 7: F-Zero X

Episode 7 is all about f-Zero X, which is a wonderful game, full of intense personality. At one point I make the statement that I don't prefer the game's music, but consider that statement redacted. Questions or comments? Send them to [email protected]

  15. 51

    Episode 4: Mario 64

A reupload of the Super Mario 64 review with a volume bump up. Questions or comments? Send them to [email protected]

For Episode 6 we start with a brief review of Turok 3, followed by a longer look at Kirby 64, the charming 2.5D outing of our adorable & destructive pink puffball. 18. 48

Episode 3: WarioLand 3 & Bomber Man Hero

If Negative Nancy & Naysayer Ned got together, after having an unpleasant dinner, made uncomfortable & awkward love to each other, & thereafter Nancy conceived & bore a son; you might think that boy was me. Well, it is not, those are not my parents' names, even so, you might think that I was that boy after this episode as unfortunately, the stars aligned in such a way that I had almost nary a good thing to say about any of my topics, whether that be my recent switch re-acquisition, Bomber Man Hero, or even Wario himself. If ever you had comments to send or questions born out of concern, the email is [email protected]

  19. 47

Episode 2: part two; Pokémon Blue: A Charizard In A Blastoise World

  20. 46

Episode 2 part 1: Directly to You!

I am joined by Stephen from the Level 1 Sword channel to provide a rare excursion into the topical. Aside from Nintendo's February direct, we also discuss the flagging live service games trend, in light of recent(ish) news; we do nothing to hide the fact that we want it gone sooner. Questions or comments? Send to [email protected]. To find Stephen, his channel is Level 1 Sword on youtube, & for emails, send them to [email protected].

  21. 45

Episode 1 of Deep Dive: Doom 64, G&W Gallery 3, Beetle Adventure Racing

Aside from a slight rebranding, it's business as usual. A little is said about February's Direct, followed by reviews on Game & Watch Gallery 3, Beetle Adventure Racing, & Doom 64 respectively. Questions or comments can be sent to [email protected]

  22. 44

Nintendo Archive, episode 42: Banjo Tooie & Mario Odyssey

It's a nice jam-packed episode featuring a discussion on meaningful collectibles, prompted by an email, a critique of one of the Switch's crown jewels, & a review of the sequel to Rare's crown jewel. Going forward the show will be undergoing some brand changes but it will still be the same show. Questions or Comments can be sent to [email protected]

  23. 43

Nintendo Archive episode 41: Turok 2 Seeds of Evil

I AM TUROK!!! For episode 42, I'm reviewing Turok 2. It's quite the adventure game, full of monstrous foes, outlandish weaponry & labyrinthian levels; also dinosaurs. Questions or comments, send them to [email protected]

  24. 42

Nintendo Archive episode 40: Jet Force Gemini

A review of Jet Force Gemini that's all up & down with the game's highs & lows. Followed by an email section about Ocarina of time. Question or Comment? Send to [email protected]

  25. 41

Nintendo Archive episode 39: Yoshi's Story

It's a shorter & hopefully more digestible episode for 39. In addition to Yoshi's story, I also touch on Game & Watch Gallery 2. Questions or comments? Please send to [email protected]

  26. 40

Nintendo Archive episode 38: Wave Race 64

Lo Behold, the Lord of the Waves, Tis Wave Race 64, & bequeathed to me from me for review. There's also more Gameboy Color to talk about in the titles MegaMan Xtreme 2 & Pokemon Puzzle challenge. Questions or comments? Send to [email protected]

  27. 39

Nintendo Archive Episode 37: Sin & Punishment

The equivalent to a foreign film (for a foreign audience?), I have Sin & Punishment. Also, 007's The World Is Not Enough for review. Both were released on the N64, the console that I am currently centering my retrospective. I like one game, & don't much care for the other. Questions or comemnts can be sent to [email protected]

  28. 38

Nintendo Archive Episode 36: Ocarina of Time (featuring Level 1 Sword Podcast's host)

With my Guest Stephen, we talk Ocarina of time & only Ocarina of time......all the time. A lot of things have been said about this legendary game, & boy howdy we say all of it, & more! Hope you enjoy!Questions or comments can be sent to [email protected]. If you want to reach out to Stephen, [email protected]

  29. 37

Nintendo Archive episode 36 part 1

On the show as a guest, we are joined by Stephen from the Level 1 Sword podcast. We talk about Jedi Fallen Order, Pokemon Blue, Age of Calamity, & Fire Emblem Awakening. We then talk about the legacy of N64 development. Questions or comments can be sent to [email protected]

For this one, a brief talk about Nintendo's 3rd party showcase that happened in spring, & some talk about Mario Strikers Charged. Afterward, its reviews for Extreme G, & Mario Party 2. Questions or comments can go to [email protected]

  31. 35

Nintendo Archive episode 34: DK64, Perfect Dark, Shantae

An episode of ranting & raving. Unfortunately, my chair broke in the 3rd hour, & so there are some loud creaks from that point forth, as well as the intermittent meowing of a cat, faintly audible. The Shantae review begins at the 4-minute mark (or so), The Perfect Dark review starts a minute or so after the hour & 15-minute mark, & Dk64 kicks off at the 2-hour & 20-minute mark, give or take. Questions or comments can be sent to [email protected] to be read on the show.

  32. 34

Nintendo Archive episode 33: More Star Wars on the N64 REDUX

Unfortunately, Audacity ate the original episode 33, so I threw this together quickly. First section is all about Battle for Naboo, Factor 5's follow up spin-off to rogue squadron, & the second covers Shadows of the Empire. Questions or comments can be sent to [email protected]

  33. 33

Nintendo Archive episode 32: Rogue Squadron & Star Wars Racer

This episode sees me reviewing two Star Wars classics, & also Warioland 2, I might also talk about other things too. Star Wars Rogue Squadron is a near-perfect distillation of the Star Wars property, and an exercise in procedural gameplay methodology; whereas Star Wars Episode 1 Racer represents the singular pursuit of SPEED! Unfortunately my chair was squeaker than I thought, & at several points, the fan AC was blaring real bad, & I couldn't edit it out w/o it undercutting the audio. Questions or comments go to [email protected]

  34. 32

Nintendo Archive episode 31: Smash Bros 64 & Turok

In addition to reviewing Smash Bros 64 & Turok dinosaur hunter, you can also enjoy reviews for Donkey kong Land 2 & Game & Watch Gallery. Comments & questions can be sent to [email protected].

  35. 31

Nintendo Archive episode 30: Banjo MANIA

I'll be pithy with this episode's rundown: I review Molemania & Banjo Kazooie, and I also talk about the closure of Nintendo's legacy eshops, & the February direct. All counted, I had nice things to say, & some not-so-nice things as well. Hope you enjoy. Please email at [email protected]

  36. 30

Nintendo Archive episode 29: Diddy Kong Racing

I recorded this audio a while ago, but due to extensive editing & limited time, I have only now just finished producing this episode. Regardless I hope anyone listening enjoys it, as I discuss Diddy Kong Racing, & answer an email. Any questions or comments can be shot over to [email protected].

  37. 29

Star Fox 64 ( featuring Stephen from Level 1 Sword)

This episode is all Star Fox! Considered Iconic by many, it was only fitting that I find an additional person to help me espouse the virtues of Star Fox 64. Stephen (from Level 1 Sword) & I rang as much as we could out of this N64 classic, but even so, I do not think we covered everything this game has to offer. So if you have anything to add on Star Fox 64, a question, or a topic you want discussed, the email is [email protected]. In the meantime, hope you enjoy the show!

  38. 28

Episode 27: 007 GoldenEye: Guest starring Nick & Josh (From the Loud Thumbs Podcast)

In this episode, I got some much-needed help from Nick & Josh, of the Loud Thumbs podcast, with reviewing an N64 classic. Along with the review, the three of us talked about a litany of other games & topics. All in all, it was a big bag of fun, & is well worth the listen. However, due to a family member coming through the door with groceries, there are some unfortunate, door creaks, bangs, & even paper abg crinkles in the last 30 min of the show. I was very distraught by the noise, & my intonation actually sounds flat & dejected in the last 10 min as a result, but otherwise, the show went swimmingly, so I hope you enjoy. I would also highly recommend checking out Nick & Josh's content by going to loudthumbs.com; they have a cavalcade of content that they produce. As for me, I can be reached at [email protected].

  39. 27

Episode 26: Dawn of a New Day

As the title suggests the show is moving forward to new horizons, what does that mean? I don't know but it sounded nice. So tune in to see (hear) what is in store. As usual, all comments & questions are appreciated & can be sent to the email [email protected]

  40. 26

    25: Epic Mickey

This episode marks the end of my voyage with the Nintendo Wii, at least for now (a lot of games left to talk). I enjoyed my time with the Wii, & I hope you who are listening enjoyed hearing me talk about it. For this final episode, I reviewed Epic Mickey before diving into a number of different topics & lists, all concerning the Wii console, as a final Ode to the System. The next episode will, Lord willing, be the introduction of another piece of Nintendo hardware; so please look forward to that. If you have any questions or comments, send them over to [email protected].

  41. 25

    Episode 24: Super Mario Galaxy

Talking about three games in this episode, 2 of them getting reviewed, all of them, Mario titles. The first review is for New Super Mario Bros Wii, & the second is for Super Mario Galaxy, with Super Mario 3D World acting as a buffer between the two in this episode's what I have been playing section "or casual chat" as I might now call it (still workshopping it). As always questions or comments can be sent to [email protected]. Also, current wii game rankings are down below Rankings1. Super Smash Bros Brawl2. Donkey Kong Country Returns3. Wii Sports Resort4.Super Mario Galaxy 25. LoZ: Twilight Princess6. Mario Strikers Charged7. Punchout8. ExciteBots9. WarioWare: Smooth Moves10. Sin & Punishment 211. Rabbids Go Home12. 42. 24

Episode 23: Super Mario Galaxy 2

An episode like all the rest. In the first section of the show, I delve into thoughts on Bioshock Infinite, & following that I go into a review of Super Mario Galaxy 2. My thoughts on it might be a deviation from the norm. Questions or comments can be sent [email protected].

  43. 23

Episode 22: Super Smash Bros Brawl

Hello! This episode marks the debut of a new segment, "Games I weirdly hate, & for weird reasons too". I hope you, the listener, enjoy it. I also have a few games, that I have been playing with the nephews, to talk about; followed by a review of the game mentioned above. Questions or comments can be sent to [email protected]. If you like the show, please leave a review on itunes.

  44. 22

    Episode 21: Excitebots

Episode 21 is a fairly typical episode, though with E3 having recently transpired, I felt compelled to do a segment; not one E3 itself, but an adjacent topic. Afterwards, is a breezy review of ExciteBots. I am actually getting pretty close to wrapping up this particular hardware retrospective, only having a few more games to discuss, but they are all biggies, so tune in if that sounds like your cup of tea. As usual questions & comments can be sent to [email protected]

  45. 21

Episode 20: Having a Guest on; Twilight Princess

Not contented with a 4 1/2 hour-long episode, I made this monster; I am very thankful that Stephen of Level Sword was so gracious as to stay for the whole thing. Twilight Princess was probably my favourite game growing up, & remains a metric by which I judge other games; needless to say, I was very happy to review it. Yet, despite the length, I do not believe Stephen & I covered everything there was to say about this game, but we came close. To whoever will listen, I hope you enjoy. Questions or comments can be sent to [email protected], while Stephen can be reached at [email protected]; he also has a podcast & youtube channel, both under the name, Level 1 sword. They are both quite good!

  46. 20

Episode 20: Having a guest on; part 1: talking about the Wii

This episode was so big, I split it into two, part two is close behind (just need to add all the music). For episode 20, I was happy to have Stephen, host of Level 1 Sword, join me for a general discussion on the Wii hardware. He was also kind of enough to stay for a 5 hour review discussion for Twilight Princess, which can be heard in Part two of this episode. Questions or comments can be sent to [email protected]; Stephen can be reached at [email protected]

  47. 19

    Episode 19: Wii Sports Resort

In this episode, I briefly speak on the Nintendo Direct that happened in February, & I mean briefly. After which, I dive right into the crown jewel of Nintendo's casual titles. I hope you enjoy. If you feel the urge to contact me, the email address is [email protected].

  48. 18

Episode 18: Donkey Kong Country Returns

This episode features a review on Donkey Kong Country Returns, Retro's second Lazarus project. I can't really think of anything else to say. If you have questions, comments, or life-changing insights, the email address is [email protected]

  49. 17

    Episode 17: Metroid Prime Corruption

Apologies about the slow trickle, but now that school is done, I can edit the audio I have been sitting on. Aside from a review of Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, I also give some thoughts on how games are reviewed. Hope whoever listens to this enjoys, & if you want to reach out, the email is [email protected].

  50. 16

    Episode 16: Super Paper Mario

Hello to anyone that is still listening after my long absence. This episode is standard fare, featuring a small comparison between two platformers with opposing strengths & weaknesses, and then a review of Super Paper Mario. If you really enjoy this game, I am sad to say that you may not find my review all that flattering. Even so, I hope you enjoy the episode, and my humble opinions therein, & if you wanted to ask a question or make a comment, my email is [email protected]. Also, there will be a few more episodes on their way as well, provided I edit them in a timely manner
