Killing Zone - All Along The Watchtower (2006)

press release: FEAR FACTORY, FAITH NO MORE Members Team Up For BOB DYLAN Cover - March 14, 2006 3volution Productions today announced the first commercial release of its "supergroup" remake of BOB DYLAN's "All Along the Watchtower" will be in the Tom Clancy's "Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter" videogame published by Ubisoft. The game is set to be available in March for the Xbox 360, Xbox, PlayStation2 and PC software platforms. The remake features platinum- and gold-selling musical artists: Rapper/singer Everlast (HOUSE OF PAIN; vocals), Billy Gould (FAITH NO MORE; bass), Raymond Herrera (FEAR FACTORY, KILLING ZONE; drums), Doug Carrion (DESCENDANTS, DAG NASTY; rhythm guitar), and L.A. session wunderkind Russell Ali (KILLING ZONE, TARZANA, XEO3; lead/rhythm guitar). Raymond Herrera and Laddie Ervin co-produced the track for their Los Angeles-based company 3volution Productions along with multi-platinum selling artist B-Real (CYPRESS HILL). DJ Lethal (LIMP BIZKIT, HOUSE OF PAIN) co-engineered the track; manning the board for the recording of drums, bass and some guitars at his studio in Hollywood. Said Herrera, "It was a dream gig working with these guys; they're all pros. The song came out killer, I can't wait to hear it in the game." While 3volution's work has appeared in numerous video games and soundtracks to date this is the first time they have provided a remake of a classic song for such a high-profile game. "We have been very fortunate to work with some of the best in both the music business and the videogame business, putting the two together is what we do best," said Ervin.

Akira Yamaoka & Mary Elizabeth McGlynn - Julia's Wish

from Julia X - the film itself is a failed attempt at breathing fresh air in the serial killer/torture porn subgenres of horror, but the songs, playing during the end credits, are pretty cool. Gozilla is a Blue Oyster Cult cover of course Julia's Wish is an Akira Yamaoka compostition sorry for the bad sound quality, but at least it's better than the Julia's Wish version on youtube
