TOUR DE FRANCE 2025 WEEK 1 Recap and WEEK 2 PREVIEW

Ok, week one plus Monday! We've seen a bit of everything - Ben Healy is in yellow but for how long? Perhaps only until we head back to the mountains but a sterling effort heading into the first rest day. Mathieu ven der Poel has been winning, had a turn in yellow and been starting side quests for his pals and meanwhile the battle between Vinegaard and Pogacar (who pulled off his 100th victory as planned) rages on. But does Visma now have the complete upper hand on UAE? Milan's the main man in green, can anyone stop him? And Lenny's in Polkas to keep France happy. TOUR OF BRITAIN STAGES 3-4 Ally Wollaston breaks Cat Ferguson's heart + DAUPHINE Vingegaard sparks crazy Stage 1 finish!

Well, the Tour of Britain Women doesn't disappoint - tears of joy and sadness for Cat Ferguson taking her first pro tour win in a soaking a treacherous Kelso, before being edged out in each intermediate sprint and on the line by Ally Wollaston whilst Lorena Wiebes finally gets her sprint victory in Glasgow. There's Demi Vollering dominance in Catalunya - is this the start of an era of dominance for her new team now in FDJ-Suez over SD Worxx Pro Time? And then it's over the channel to the Dauphine as the BIG FOUR fight it out in brilliant and hilarious fashion in what was supposed to be a sprint stage. Jonas Vingegaard the animator?! Who saw that coming, as Tadej Pogacar again takes a victory over a powerful Remco Evenepoel and a broken-wrist recovering Mathieu van der Poel. And we talk Jake Stewart's fifth on a mad new bike plus Netflix burying their Tour de France series in what is Unchained's farewell finale. And hey, please give us a 5* review wherever you listen to us. GIRO D'ITALIA 2025 - SIMON YATES WINS! But... did UAE abandon del Toro, or did he throw it away?! Stages 16-21!

Just when you thought the Brits couldn't do it on the continent, the whole of Europe says 'What the hell just happened?!' Simon Yates wins the Giro d'Italia 2025 - come on, did anyone call this...? Ok maybe one person on BlueSky - you know who you are! Sanny and Katy reconvene to reflect on the final week of the Giro, focussing on the madness up the Colle Delle Finestre. Sanny has several theories about what happened with Isaac del Toro - did his battle with Ayuso lead to a hangover between him and the team?! Was Carapaz right to not work with the young Mexican and the man who couldn't sound any less like he's from Bury if he tried, finally cracks emotionally, as he cracks the rest of his GC competitors by riding away up the climb that had defined his own career when he lost the Giro to Chris Froome back in 2018. Tears after the finish line, a very muddled accent in the interviews and what work from Wout van Aert to get him there. Redemption all round. And hey, please give us a 5* review wherever you listen to us. Any words will do if you can - Five Stars will help more cycling fans find us and mean we can make more episodes! GIRO D'ITALIA 2025 STAGE 13-15 - CHAOS, CHAOS, CHAOS!!!!!

It's all happening, all the time! Just when we thought we'd have a chill day or two it's complete chaos. The Ayuso - del Toro battle rages on. There's a nightmare for Lidl-Trek and heartbreak for Ciccone and then redemption for the team as Carlos Verona pulls off a breakaway win, hot of Kasper Asgreen doing the same too. Oh my word, Primoz Roglic and all the chaos as Sanny and Katy reconvene with Sanny at Wembley and many apologies that we lose Katy at the end!!!!Presenters:Sanny Rudravajhala X: @Sanny_Rudra Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/sannyr.comKaty Madgwick X: @WriteBikeRepeat Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/writebikerepeat.bsky.socialProducer: Sanny RudravajhalaMusic: 'Sink' - Imuno & Heston Mimms - Imuno Audio: https://imuno.sourceaudio.com/homeSan Pod Productions Hosted on Acast. GIRO D'ITALIA 2025 STAGE 8-12 Ayuso vs Del Toro - who didn't see this coming?!

Isaac del Toro is in pink but for how long will Juan Ayuso be ok with the situation at UAE?! Sanny and Katy return to review a succession of breathless Giro stages plus a more sedentary sprint stage 12 with an Olav Kooij finish. We see Luke Plapp go on the break, chaos and triumph on the gravel for Wout van Aert and a time trial victory through the rain for Dan Hoole, oh and don't count out Richard Carapaz, as he showed on stage 12!Presenters:Sanny Rudravajhala X: @Sanny_Rudra Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/sannyr.comKaty Madgwick X: @WriteBikeRepeat Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/writebikerepeat.bsky.socialProducer: Sanny RudravajhalaMusic: 'Sink' - Imuno & Heston Mimms - Imuno Audio: https://imuno.sourceaudio.com/homeSan Pod Productions Hosted on Acast. Sanny and Katy reconvene to talk for a moment on stage 5, reflect on the awful scenes of stage 6 and the crash that neutralised the race and took out a host of riders. They then preview stage 7 before then watching it and coming back together and see whether their predictions pan out. There's Paul Double in the virtual pink, Max Poole flying the British flag and who's at the back of the pack in the grupetto eating pork kebabs?!Presenters:Sanny Rudravajhala X: @Sanny_Rudra Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/sannyr.comKaty Madgwick X: @WriteBikeRepeat Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/writebikerepeat.bsky.socialProducer: Sanny RudravajhalaMusic: 'Sink' - Imuno & Heston Mimms - Imuno Audio: https://imuno.sourceaudio.com/homeSan Pod Productions Hosted on Acast. We kick off with La Vuelta Feminina as Katy talks us through the action where Demi Vollering reigns in Spain for 2025. Marlen Reusser takes second place across the seven days, and still on her comeback, Anna van der Breggen rounds off the podium. Then we're off to the Giro - Josh Tarling takes the Stage 2 Time Trial as Primoz Roglic wears pink from Pedersen but only for a day as the Dane takes stage 3. Then we leave Albania for Italy and Lecce where Picnic Post NL wake us all up and shock us all with a sprint victory for Casper van Uden! GIRO D'ITALIA 2025 STAGE 1 - Pedersen in pink, heartbreak for Landa and Red Bull KM, multi-screens and more!

Mads Pedersen pips Wout van Aert (where have we seen this before?!) to take the Maglia Rosa on Stage One of the Giro d'Italia. A perfect rac for Lidl Trek, not so for Mikel Landa - heartbreak as a crash with 5km to go means he pulls out. Sanny and Katy return to go through the start of the 2025 Giro ending in Albania's capital city, in a quickfire 35 minutes. What is Kometa? Who's up for the time trial for Stage Two and what did we make of the Red Bull kilometre, Giro multi-screen and more!Presenters:Sanny Rudravajhala X: @Sanny_Rudra Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/sannyr.comKaty Madgwick X: @WriteBikeRepeat Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/writebikerepeat.bsky.socialProducer: Sanny RudravajhalaMusic: 'Sink' - Imuno & Heston Mimms - Imuno Audio: https://imuno.sourceaudio.com/homeSan Pod Productions Hosted on Acast. GIRO D'ITALIA 2025 PREVIEW - No Pog - Roglic vs Ayuso vs everyone else!

It's a Tadej Pogacar-free zone! Well, at least it will be when we talk Giro d'Italia. With last year's winner not returning, could there be a new rider lifting Trofeo Senza Fine and wearing La Maglia Rosa by the time we get to Rome in three weeks? Primoz Roglic get back in pink or Juan Ayuso young-gunning for a first Grand Tour win. Katy and Sanny return to review the classics - is it too much Pogacar? That's before a BIG preview on the Giro - all the main riders - and how Tom Pidcock is free to have fun. Could Wout van Aert play a part in stage wins too though? Tiberi killed a cat but could still be Italy's darling too. There's an update from La Vuelta Feminina ahead of a review pod as we gear up for the Giro, which starts this year in Albania. Tour of Flanders REVIEW - Pogacar and Kopecky Reign on the Ronde!

Was it ever in doubt? Maybe? Tadej Pogačar attacks exactly where you'd think he would be not before the rest of the peloton gave beating him a really good go. Sanny and Katy reconvene post-Ronde van Vlaanderen where there was a redemption, of sorts for Wout Van Aert, with Pedersen and van der Poel making the podium and kudos to Stuyven and Ganna in amongst it all. But... are we bored of Pogacar winning everything...? Lots to mull over here. In the women's race, we lost Elisa Longo Borghini early, and that was a big blow for the race which was run from a four-up sprint by the World Champion Kopecky. Could and should the others have tried something else to beat her? Pauline Ferrand-Prévot has to settle for second with a creditable ride for Liane Lippert in third as Tour de France champ Kasia Niewiadoma misses out. Symmetry in both races as the World Champions win, how does this set us up for Paris-Roubaix next weekend? We chat through it all, there's some slow-mo Pogacar and why the finish line couldn't be more boring if the organisers tried!Presenters:Sanny Rudravajhala X: @Sanny_Rudra Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/sannyr.comKaty Madgwick X: @WriteBikeRepeat Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/writebikerepeat.bsky.socialProducer: Sanny RudravajhalaMusic: 'Sink' - Imuno & Heston Mimms - Imuno Audio: https://imuno.sourceaudio.com/homeSan Pod Productions Hosted on Acast. Mathieu van der Poel is in form with wins at San Remo and E3 but Katy is backing Tadej Pogačar for victory in the biggest race in Belgium. After his and Visma Lease a Bike's nightmare at Dwars door Vlaanderen, Sanny and Katy discuss whether we'll ever see Wout van Aert back to his best. The women's race sees the formidable SD Worx Protime being the team to beat but Elisa Longo Borghini has beaten Lotte Kopecky already. Could Puck Pieterse spring a surprise? And who's next for an awkward time on the pre-podium sofa? What a brilliant couple of races into Siena! A battle only seen in Rocky films as Demi Vollering beats her mentor and old coach in Anna van der Breggen. In the men's race Tadej Pogacar gets a shoulder tap from history as he crashes in the rainbow bands but STILL wins in tuscany. It's been a long goodbye but our friend Daniel Benson was the man to break the news that Tom Pidcock has left INEOS for the second-tier Q36.5. How hs Pidcock's journey taken him to the Italian outfit and who exactly are they? Sanny and Katy are joined by Alicia Moyo to discuss Pidder's big move and why being the main man could mean we see him at his best in 2025. .. but will that be away from the stage races and more on the one-day scene? Pogacar & Kopecky dominate, Man V Horse and what's Pidcock's problem?

How many times will we say Tadej Pogacar is victorious on the road in 2024 - no more - the season is over as the Slovenian blows everyone away in Lombardia. Is road racing now the battle for second or even third when he’s racing? No Tom Pidcock present - has he thrown his toys out the pram one too many times at INEOS Grenadiers?! We have a big old chat on what's not been working for the Brit and whether we'll see him in an INEOS jersey again - could even end up privateering in cyclocross?? Lotte Kopecky bounces back from a stage 5 crash in the Simac Tour to show her domination of the women's peloton, We say goodbye to Christine Majerus in Holland and to the great Grace Brown in France as she bows out of cycling, with glory in the Chrono des Nations. Africa's road championships misses it's champion from the women's race, there's a spotlight on cyclocross for all the wrong reasons... and in the age old battle of Man v Horse, Tim de Clercq comes out on top. How much gravel do you need for a gravel race and should more events take in multi-story car parks? Looking at the finish photos from Paris-Tour - should that be called a gravel race instead?! There’s deja vu at Giro dell'emilia as Tadej Pogacar takes the win with a strikingly similar attack as  Matteo Jorgensen shows he’s a once AND twice bitten sort of person. And as F1’s Valtteri Bottas swaps four wheels for two, which other sports stars should get on their bikes?Presenters: Sanny Rudravajhala @Sanny_Rudra & Katy Madgwick @WriteBikeRepeatProducer: Sanny RudravajhalaSan Pod ProductionsLet us know your thoughts #OnYerBikePod and please leave us a 5* review AND a comment - that will make a MASSIVE difference to whether other cycling fans can find us.
