3 Shades of Black is a collaboration between One Man Rock Band™ and Joey Welz of Bill Haley and the Comets. Joey Welz (79) Vocals, Keyboards. One Man Rock Band™ Guitar, Bass, Drums. This song "3 Shades of Black" marks the first time since I became One Man Rock Band to collaborate with another artist. Joey Welz (76), the singer, and keyboards on this tune, over my guitar, bass, and drum playing, is formerly of Bill Haley and the Comets! Not only was Joey in the Comets, but he is credited with creating the "Boogie Woogie" style of piano playing. He also sings on the original "Shake Rattle and Roll" song. He is a gold charter member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I am honored he asked to use my musical rendition of Live Wire by AC/DC as the backdrop to his own song, and lyrics entitled 3 Shades of Black. For me personally, to have a man who is from the band that LITERALLY created Rock n' Roll, to tap me, to be a part of his musical mosaic is a huge, HUGE, honor to say the least! Thank you Joey, you will never know how much your belief in me means. That is Rock n' Roll man!
