Lotus FM is thrilled to announce its radio drama production of Shakespeare’s Othello which is a matric setwork for 2016. Learners often struggle with the language of Shakespeare so the station’s drama producer, Raeesa Mahomed, has rewritten the text into modern English. It has then been produced in the drama studios of Lotus FM, using the finest acting talent. Nhlakanipho Manqele, who essayed the role in the national stage production as Othello, plays the lead, with the talented and well established actors Michael Gritten, Derosha Moodley and Phillipa Savage as Iago, Desdemona and Emilia respectively.
