It feels grounded, it feels investigative, and it already hints that there’s going to be a lot more depth to both characters than people might be expecting. You can already sense the mentor/partner tension brewing, and if the show leans into that, we could be in for something really special.But of course… the internet had other priorities.Instead of talking about the tone, the chemistry, or what the story might build toward, a lot of people immediately jumped to complaining about what wasn’t in the trailer. No green suit. No glowing green aura when Hal flies. No giant constructs. And look—I get wanting to see that stuff. We all do.But the reaction is starting to feel like people are just looking for cracks in the armor of the DCU and James Gunn’s vision before anything even has a chance to breathe. It’s getting exhausting.
