I speak with the eighth eliminated contestant. The promos promised us 'one of survivor's biggest players', and that's certainly who we lost - a controversial one at that. I tried to ask a few tougher questions, but didn't go too hard as I'm sure there'll be plenty of scathing remarks out there in exit interviews today.

After an brief stint at Exile Beach, I speak with the person who didn't win the Duel and who became the seventh person the actually leave the game. 

Today's episode is a little different. I spoke with Heath after he played his hidden immunity idol to cancel a unanimous vote against him. In the end, his single vote for Anita made her the second person sent to Exile Beach to duel with Tegan for a spot back in the game.

Today I speak with the contestant who was the seventh person voted off their tribe, but not necessarily out of the game. This person was the first voted out to Exile Beach and will have a chance to compete in a duel to come back into the game.

We discuss the first two weeks of Australian Survivor: Champions VS Contenders. We discuss the first 6 episodes and the first 6 eliminated contestants, focusing on the strategic elements of the game so far, and attempt to identify how the alliances are forming.

Today I speak to the fifth eliminated contestant of Australia Survivor Season 3: Champions VS Contenders. As the great man JLP said, sometimes the simple decision isn't always the easy decision.

I wanted to talk about another element of strategy. I think everyone has heard of people 'plating seeds' in the game of Survivor and everyone recognises that it is effective strategy, but this is the explanation as to WHY it is so effective.

Today I speak with the fourth, and thus far the sneakiest, eliminated contestant. I tried a couple of jokes that absolutely bombed, but this chat was a lot of fun and a great insight into some strategy that we didn't get to fully see on the episode. Enjoy!

Spoke with the third eliminated contestant of Australia Survivor: Champions VS Contenders. We spoke about prior knowledge of survivor, research and game plan going in, and a bit of a behind-the-scenes look into a few things that weren't shown on the episode.

'Russell is the King of survivor and made the best move ever' OR 'Russell is so stupid why didn't he play is idol?'. People feel really strongly about this move, and obviously both of these opinions can't be right...  In this episode, I use the ideas from a book called 'Thinking In Bets' by Annie Duke to dissect what makes a good decision or a 'good move'. Got to speak to Petey for over an hour to hear about everything he was involved in throughout Australian Survivor 2017. Whilst Locky labeled him the 'goat' being 'dragged to the end', other players have jumped to Pete's defence saying he was heavily involved behind the scenes and played a phenomenal game to make it almost to the end. Pete finished 3rd and made some critical moves along the way to get himself into a great position - and now you can hear all about it!

Round 2 with Luke. This time we talk about everything that happened after the merge - from going in with 4 against 8, to being part of the super idol play, to winning EVERYTHING at the auction, to the #champagnealliance, to blindsiding Henry and sending him home with an idol in his pocket, to the spy shack, to voting out Tessa with 3 votes, and everything in between!

Got the spend over an hour on the phone with The Boss/The King/The Mayor/The President - Luke. This is only part 1, we've go another hour coming up tomorrow! In this episode, Luke breaks down everything that happened before the merge at camp Asaga. He talks about losing his clothes the moment he jumped off the barge in the first few seconds of the game, getting to know a whole bunch of new people, building alliances, working hard around camp, and ultimately taking control of the game. He even reveals a few things we didn't get to see on the show, like multiple fake idols!

We speak with the winner - the Sole Survivor - for Australian Survivor 2017. We discuss the moves that got them to the final tribal council, the resume they'd built, and the nervous wait between leaving the island and finding out the official result. In the words of King Luke - mad respect.

Got the opportunity to speak with the Runner Up for Australian Survivor 2017. We discussed how they got so close and what they could have done, and talked about some of their highlights from along the journey. Super impressive effort to beat not only the 22 other castaways, but also the 22,000+ others that applied and didn't get a look in.

So, last night , there was no immunity challenge. Instead, Jericho won the power to vote off one of the members of the Jury. We knew there was a non-elimination episode coming up and we heard the rumours of this happening (like it did a few seasons ago in the US), but unfortunately for one of the Jury Members, they lost the opportunity to cast their vote for the winner of the $500,000 prize and the title of Sole Survivor. Jarrad gave a serious amount of insight into his game and his strategy in this Deep Dive. We got to talk about the whole chronology of his game, and he talked about the different 'phases' he had envisioned for the game and the nightly 'commandments' he reviewed. Jarrad made the merge and became the 13th person voted out of the game and the first person on the jury.
